• Maximum Age – 22 Years
• Minimum Age –  18 Years

The age limit will be considered as on 22nd September, 2018.

Educational Qualification – Puducherry Police Constable Recruitment 2018

Aspirants who wish to apply for the post of Police Constable should have passed in A pass in standard 10+2 or its
equivalent.

Selection Process – Puducherry Police Constable Recruitment 2018

The eligible applicant shall be issued call letter to appear for the following test. The date and Place of recruitment test will be indicated in call letters. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests.

(i) Physical Measurement :

Candidates will be screened first for Height, Chest (Men), BMI. Candidates will be screened first for Height and
Weight for Women.

(ii) Physical Efficiency test :

Candidates who satisfy the above conditions of Physical measurement will be admitted for the Physical Efficiency test.

III) Written Test : (200 Marks)

(i) All candidates who qualify in the Physical standards and Physical Efficiency tests shall undergo a Written Test. The questions will be in objective type and will be generally of +2 standard. The question paper will be in two parts each of two hours duration.

(ii) The written test will be in English and Regional languages (i.e) for candidate from Puducherry and Karaikal in Tamil, for Mahe in Malyalam and for Yanam in Telugu. The Questions for General English shall be only in English Language.

IV) MEDICAL TEST:

The candidates selected in the Written Test shall be subjected for medical examination to access their medical fitness as per the medical standards prescribed through the Standing Order issued by the Government.

Physical Efficiency Test – Puducherry Police Constable Recruitment 2018

(a)For male candidates:

Stage-I – 800mts Run -2 minutes and 50 seconds

Stage-II – Long Jump – 3.80mts

Stage-III – High Jump – 1.20mts

Stage-IV – 100 meters run – 15.00 Seconds

*Ex-servicemen will be not required to pass physical efficiency test. They will be eligible to appear for the written test if they possess the minimum physical measurements and pass the medical examination.

(b) For female candidates:

Stage-I – 200mts Run – 45 seconds.

Stage-II – Long Jump – 2.75mts

Stage-III – High Jump 0.9mts

Note :

(1) All the above events are compulsory.

(2) Each stage of physical efficiency Test is a Qualifying stage by itself for the next stage i.e. only the candidates who qualify in the stage-I of physical Efficiency test will be eligible for the stage-II and so on.

Training Period – Puducherry Police Constable Recruitment 2018

They shall be placed on probation for a period of TWO YEARS from the date of joining the post as per Recruitment Rule(including the Basic Training for 1 year).
