Railways increases Upper Age Limit for ALP & Technicians Post 2018

Dear Aspirants,

The Indian Railways has announced the recruitment for various posts which is mentioned in the CEN 01/2018 and also for the CEN 02/2018. The former is for the recruitment o the post of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technicians and the later is for the GROUP “D” posts in the Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

It has been mentioned in the notification that upper age limit to apply for the posts mentioned in the CEN 01/2018 as 28 years (as on 1st July, 2018). The aspirants / candidates who wish to apply for the posts in CEN 01/2018 has been mentioned as 18 – 28 years. The above mentioned criteria’s can be checked from the official notification of the RRB in CEN 01/2018. RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD -GROUP D POSTS-62907 Vacancies

Totally more than 90000+ vacancies are available which is to be filled in these two exams and these exams have been announced after a long period of time. The previous exams for this cadre has been conducted in the year 2014 and since this exam is being conducted after a long period and also many aspirants were preparing for the exams , the Indian Railways has considered the request of the candidates and have increased the age limit for the unreserved to apply for the posts.

The important point here to note is that , the Ministry of Railways has mentioned that the upper age limit for the Level 1 posts has also been increased to 31 years. (Please note that , the age limit to apply for the posts have been increased, so please take the changed dates only to apply for the posts). The Upper age limit for the candidates belonging to the SC / ST category is 38 years now. The CEN 02/2018 notification for the recruitment to Level 1 posts has been released with the new age limit criteria.

The age limit to apply for the Assistant Loco Pilot & Technician posts is 30 years (for unreserved category) , 33 years (OBC Non- Creamy Layer) and 35 Years (for SC and ST Category).
