1. Indian govt introduced detailed guidelines for digital content on both digital media and OTT platforms

• The Indian government has unveiled detailed guidelines for digital content on both digital media and Over The Top (OTT) platforms under the ambit of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021.
• In the framework, the government has given itself emergency powers to block public access to any information and the new rules will lay down a three-tier grievance redressal mechanism.

1. டிஜிட்டல் மீடியா மற்றும் OTT தளங்களைக் கட்டுப்படுத்த விரிவான வழிகாட்டுதல்களை இந்திய அரசு அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது

• தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பம் (இடைநிலை வழிகாட்டுதல்கள் மற்றும் சமூக ஊடகங்கள் நெறிமுறைக் குறியீடு) விதிகள் 2021 இன் கீழ், டிஜிட்டல் மீடியா மற்றும் OTT தளங்களைக் கட்டுப்படுத்த விரிவான வழிகாட்டுதல்களை இந்திய அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
• இந்த கட்டமைப்பின் மூலம் எந்தவொரு தகவலையும் பொதுமக்கள் அணுகுவதைத் தடுக்க அரசாங்கம் அவசரகால அதிகாரங்களை பயன்படுத்த முடியும். மேலும் இந்த புதிய விதிகள் மூன்று அடுக்கு குறை தீர்க்கும் நெறிமுறையையும் வகுக்கம் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

2. India, Pakistan agree to observe 2003 ceasefire along LoC

• After discussions between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan, both countries agreed to strictly observe ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control (LoC) and all other sectors with effect from midnight 24/25 February.
• In a statement released by both countries, it is said that “In the interest of achieving mutually beneficial and sustainable peace along the borders, the two DGMOs agreed to address each other’s core issues and concerns which have the propensity to disturb peace and lead to violence”.

2. இந்தியா, பாகிஸ்தான் 2003 போர் நிறுத்த ஒப்பந்தத்தை எல்லைக் கட்டுப்பாட்டு கோட்டில் கடைபிடிக்க உள்ளது

• இந்தியா மற்றும் பாகிஸ்தானின் ராணுவ தலைமை இயக்குநர்கள் (டிஜிஎம்ஓ) இடையே நடந்த கலந்துரையாடல்களுக்குப் பிறகு, பிப்ரவரி 24/25 நள்ளிரவு முதல் நடைமுறைக்கு வரும் வகையில் எல்லை கட்டுப்பாட்டு கோடு மற்றும் பிற அனைத்து துறைகளிலும் போர்நிறுத்த ஒப்பந்தத்தை கடைபிடிக்க இரு நாடுகளும் ஒப்புக்கொண்டன.
• இரு நாடுகளும் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில், “எல்லைகளில் பரஸ்பர நன்மை பயக்கும் மற்றும் நிலையான அமைதியை அடையும் பொருட்டு, இரு டிஜிஎம்ஓக்களும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் அமைதியைக் குலைத்து வன்முறைக்கு வழிவகுக்கும் முக்கிய பிரச்சினைகள் மற்றும் கவலைகளைத் தீர்க்க ஒப்புக் கொண்டனர்”.

3. Free NEET coaching for the students of corporation schools launched by Greater Chennai Corporation

• Free NEET coaching for the students of corporation schools was launched by Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner G. Prakash.
• The civic body will train the students for 100 days under the ‘NEET, Ennal Mudiyum’ (I can) programme. The smart classrooms will have modern digital boards with internet connectivity.
• The Corporation has launched coaching for 101 students with funding from the alumni of the College of Engineering, Guindy, and support from the Inner Wheel District 323.

3. சென்னை மாநகராட்சி பள்ளிகளில் மாணவர்களுக்கு இலவச ‘நீட்’ பயிற்சி

• மாநகராட்சி பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கு இலவச நீட் பயிற்சியை சென்னை மாநகராட்சி கமிஷனர் ஜி.பிரகாஷ் துவக்கி வைத்தார்.
• நீட் தேர்வுக்காக (என்னால் முடியும்) என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ், மாநகராட்சி பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கு, 100 நாட்கள் பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.  ஸ்மார்ட் வகுப்பறைகளில் இணைய வசதியுடன் நவீன டிஜிட்டல் போர்டுகள் மூலம் இந்த பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்பட உள்ளது.
• கிண்டி பொறியியல் கல்லூரியின் முன்னாள் மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் இன்னர் வீல் மாவட்டம் 323 என்ற கல்வி நிறுவனத்திடமிருந்து நிதியுதவியுடன் 101 மாணவர்களுக்கு இக்கழகம் பயிற்சி அளித்து வருகிறது.

4. Inscription of death of Vijayanagar king Krishnadevaraya has been found.

• On deciphering an inscription, the first-ever epigraphical reference to the date of death of Vijayanagar king, Krishnadevaraya has been discovered.
• According to the inscription, Krishnadevaraya, one of the greatest emperors of India who ruled from the South, died on 17 October 1529, Sunday.
• The inscription was written in Kannada, which is engraved on a slab kept on the northern side of the Gopalakrishna temple at Honnenahalli in the Tumakuru district.

4. விஜயநகர மன்னர் கிருஷ்ணதேவராயரின் மரணம் குறித்த கல்வெட்டு கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

• விஜயநகர மன்னர் கிருஷ்ணதேவராயர் இறந்ததற்கான முதல் கல்வெட்டு கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இந்தக் கல்வெட்டின்படி, இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய பேரரசர்களில் ஒருவரான கிருஷ்ணதேவராயர், 1529 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 17 ஆம் தேதி, ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமையில் இறந்தார்.
• இந்த கல்வெட்டு தும்குர் மாவட்டம், ஹோனனஹள்ளியில் உள்ள, கோபாலகிருஷ்ணர் கோயிலின் வடபகுதியில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஒரு பலகையின் மீது கன்னடத்தில் பொறிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

5. Bathymetric study of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep – Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services

• To Conduct ‘bathymetric’ study, which is to get a better picture of the ocean floor, the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) is planning to take the help of the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) for aerial mapping of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
• They are in the process of integrating the data for a 3D multi-hazard mapping of both the east and west coastline for a more precise picture of the ocean floor, for better monitoring of the sea and more accurate prediction of impending disasters like cyclones and tsunamis.

5. அந்தமான் மற்றும் நிக்கோபார் தீவுகள் மற்றும் லட்சத்தீவில் ஆழ்கடல் அளவியல் ஆய்வு – இந்திய தேசிய கடல்சார் தகவல் சேவை மையம்

6. INS asked Google India, to compensate print media publishers for the use of news

• In a letter to Google India’s Country Manager Sanjay Gupta, The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) has urged Google India to compensate print media publishers for the use of news.
• INS requested Google to consider increasing the publisher’s share of advertising revenue to 85% and to give more prominence to content from registered news publishers to deal with fake news.

6. செய்திகளின் பயன்பாட்டிற்கு இந்திய பத்திரிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு கட்டணம் செலுத்த கூகுள் இந்தியாவிடம் வலியுறுத்தல்

7. Biden administration revokes Donald Trump’s suspension of new immigrant visas

• The order, which suspended the entry of certain immigrants and non-immigrants into the U.S. on the grounds of protecting the U.S. labour market in the wake of COVID19, is revoked by the Biden Administration.
• However, they did not revoke a Trump administration pause on H1B (skilled worker), L (intracompany transfer) and several other work and exchange visitor visa categories.

7. டொனால்ட் டிரம்பின் புதிய குடியேறிய விசாக்களின் இடைநீக்கத்தை பைடன் நிர்வாகம் ரத்து செய்தது

• கோவிட்-19 ஐ அடுத்து யு.எஸ். தொழிலாளர் சந்தையைப் பாதுகாக்கும் அடிப்படையில் புலம்பெயர்ந்தோர் மற்றும் புலம்பெயர்ந்தோர் அல்லாதோர், அமெரிக்காவிற்குள் நுழைவதை நிறுத்தி வைத்த உத்தரவை பைடன் நிர்வாகம் ரத்து செய்யப்படுகிறது.

8. Poet Vishnu Narayanan Namboothiri passes away

• Vishnu Narayanan Namboothiri (81), Indian writer and scholar of Malayalam literature, passed away on 25 February.
• The Government of India honoured him with the fourth highest civilian award of the Padma Shri in 2014 and the Government of Kerala awarded him the Ezhuthachan Puraskaram, the highest literary award in Malayalam.
• Swathanthrathe Kurichu Oru Geetham, Bhoomigeethangal, Indiayenna Vikaaram and Charulata are his notable works.

8. கவிஞர் விஷ்ணு நாராயணன் நம்பூதிரி காலமானார்

• மலையாள இலக்கிய எழுத்தாளர் விஷ்ணு நாராயணன் நம்பூதிரி(81), பிப்ரவரி 25ம் தேதி காலமானார்.
• இந்திய அரசு இவருக்கு 2014ஆம் ஆண்டு பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது வழங்கி கௌரவித்தது. மலையாளத்தின் மிக உயரிய விருதான ‘ஈழச்சன் புரஸ்காரம்’ என்ற விருதை கேரள அரசு இவருக்கு வழங்கியுள்ளது.
• ஸ்வதந்த்ரதே குரிச்சு ஓரு கீதம், பூமிகீதங்கள், இந்தியென்னா விகாரம் மற்றும் சாருலதா ஆகியவை அவரது குறிப்பிடத்தக்க படைப்புகள் ஆகும்.

9. Coimbatore College students developed Satellite for ISRO.

• College students from Coimbatore have developed a satellite called Sri Sakthi SAT.
• Weighing only 460 grams, the satellite is capable of operating like other nanosatellites weighing up to 10 kg. The satellite is scheduled to be launched from Sri Harikota on 28 February.

9. கோவை கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள் இஸ்ரோவுக்காக உருவாக்கியுள்ள செயற்கைக்கோள்.

• கோவையைச் சேர்ந்த கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள் ஸ்ரீ சக்தி சாட் என்னும் செயற்கைக் கோளை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர்.
• 460 கிராம் மட்டுமே எடையுள்ள இந்த செயற்கைக்கோள் 10 கிலோ வரை எடையுள்ள மற்ற நானோ செயற்கைக் கோள்களைப் போலச் செயல்படும் திறன் கொண்டது. இந்த செயற்கைக்கோள் ஸ்ரீ ஹரிகோட்டாவிலிருந்து வரும் பிப்ரவரி 28ம் தேதி விண்ணில் செலுத்தப்பட உள்ளது.

10. Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Bill 2021 passed in Uttar Pradesh

• The Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Bill-2021 was passed by a voice vote in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
• Under the law, any person who directly, indirectly, coerces, exerts influence or engages in conversion in the name of marriage is liable to imprisonment for up to 10 years and a fine of Rs. 50,000.

10. சட்டவிரோத மதமாற்றத் தடைச் சட்ட மசோதா-2021 உத்திர பிரதேசத்தில் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது

• உத்திர பிரதேச சட்டப் பேரவையில் குரல் வாக்கெடுப்பின் மூலம் சட்டவிரோத மதமாற்றத் தடைச் சட்ட மசோதா-2021 நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இந்த சட்டத்தின்படி, எந்த நபரும் நேரடியாகவோ, மறைமுகமாகவோ, கட்டாயப்படுத்தியோ, செல்வாக்கைப் பயன்படுத்தியோ அல்லது திருமணம் என்ற பெயரிலோ மதமாற்றத்தில் ஈடுபட்டால் 10 ஆண்டுகள் வரை சிறை தண்டனையும், ரூ.50,000 அபராதமும் விதிக்கப்படும்.
