1. Indian Railways has logged highest ever electrification of 6000km in a single year

• Indian Railways has logged highest ever electrification of sections covering over 6000km in a single year during 2020-21. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, it has surpassed the previous highest of over 5000km achieved in 2018-19.
• Ministry of Railways has planned to fully electrify its tracks by December 2023. Total Rail electrification would contribute to the goal of “net zero” emissions by 2030 by drawing its entire electrical load from renewable energy sources.

1. ஒரு வருடத்தில் 6000கீமீ அளவிலான மிகஅதிக பாதை மின்மயமாக்கலை இந்திய இரயில்வே பதிவு செய்துள்ளது

• 2020-21இல் ஒரே ஆண்டில் 6000கீமீ பாதை மின்மயமாக்கலை இந்திய ரயில்வே பதிவு செய்துள்ளது. கோவிட்-19 தொற்றுநோய் இருந்தபோதிலும், இது 2018-19ஆம் ஆண்டில் எட்டப்பட்ட முந்தைய 5000கீமீ பாதையை விட அதிகமாக உள்ளது.
• 2023 டிசம்பருக்குள் இரயில்வே அமைச்சகம் தனது தடங்களை முழுமையாக மின்மயமாக்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது. மொத்த ரயில் மின்மயமாக்கல் அதன் முழு மின் சுமையையும் புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க எரிசக்தி மூலங்களிலிருந்து பெறுவதன் மூலம் 2030ஆம் ஆண்டளவில் “நிகர பூஜ்ஜிய” உமிழ்வு இலக்கை அடைய பங்களிக்கும்.

2. India’s biggest floating solar power plant to be set up at Ramagundam in Telangana

• India’s biggest floating solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW will be set up at Ramagundam in Telangana.
• The solar project is commissioned by the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
• The solar panels will cover 450-acre area of the reservoir and can be expanded in the future.

2. இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய மிதக்கும் சூரிய மின் நிலையம் தெலுங்கானாவின் ராமகுண்டத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளது

• 100 மெகாவாட் திறன் கொண்ட இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய மிதக்கும் சூரிய மின் உற்பத்தி நிலையம் தெலுங்கானாவின் ராமகுண்டத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.
• இந்த சூரிய திட்டத்தை தேசிய அனல் மின் நிறுவனம் (NTPC) அமைக்கிறது.
• சூரிய தகடுகள் நீர்த்தேக்கத்தின் 450 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவில் அமையும் மற்றும் எதிர்காலத்தில் இதை விரிவாக்க முடியும்.

3. RBI deputy governor BP Kanungo retired after completing 1-year extension

• The senior-most Deputy Governor BP Kanungo retired from the Reserve Bank on completion of his one-year extension.
• He was born in May 1959 in Odisha. He was appointed as a Deputy Governor on 3 April 2017, for a three-year term ending 2 April 2020, but was given a one-year extension.
• With his retirement, the RBI is left with three deputy governors namely, Mahesh Kumar Jain, Michael Patra and Rajeshwar Rao.

3. ரிசர்வ் வங்கியின் துணை ஆளுநர் பிபி கனுங்கோ 1 ஆண்டு பதவி நீட்டிப்பு முடிந்து ஓய்வு பெறுகிறார்

• மூத்த-மிக துணை ஆளுநர் பிபி கனுங்கோ தனது ஓராண்டு நீட்டிப்பை முடித்து ரிசர்வ் வங்கியில் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்றார்.
• அவர் மே 1959இல் ஒடிசாவில் பிறந்தார். அவர் 3 ஏப்ரல் 2017 அன்று மூன்று ஆண்டு காலத்திற்கு பொறுப்பேற்றார், அவரது பதவிக்காலம் 2 ஏப்ரல் 2020ஆம் தேதியுடன் முடிவடைந்தது, ஆனால் அவருக்கு ஒரு ஆண்டு நீட்டிப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

4. Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan received Kalinga Ratna Samman

• Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu conferred Biswabhusan with the prestigious award in Cuttack on the 40^th annual day of the Sarala Sahitya Sansad at the Sarala Bhawan. The Kalinga Ratna Samman carries a silver idol of Goddess Saraswati, a copper plaque and a shawl.
• Biswabhusan was born at Godijhara village in Puri district on 3 August 1934. He was presented with the award for his contribution to literature. Matrubhasa, Bhasa Jhalaka, Rana Pratap, Astasikha Manasi and Sangrama Sarinahi are some of his several books.
• The veteran politician was elected to the Odisha Assembly five times. He was also a Cabinet Minister in the State in 2004. President Ram Nath Kovind appointed him as the 23^rdGovernor of Andhra Pradesh in July 2019.

4. ஆந்திர மாநில ஆளுநர் பிஸ்வபூஷன் ஹரிச்சந்தன், கலிங்கா ரத்னா சம்மான் பெற்றார்

• சரளா பவனில் சரளா சாகித்ய சன்சாத்தின் 40வது ஆண்டு தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு கட்டாக்கில் பிஸ்வபூசனுக்கு இந்த மதிப்புமிக்க விருதை துணைத் தலைவர் எம்.வெங்கையா நாயுடு வழங்கினார். கலிங்க ரத்னா சம்மான் சரஸ்வதி தேவியின் வெள்ளி சிலை, செப்பு தகடு மற்றும் சால்வை ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• பிஸ்வபூஷன், 3 ஆகஸ்ட் 1934இல் பூரி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள கோடிஜாரா கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார். இலக்கியத்திற்கு ஆற்றிய பங்களிப்புக்காக அவருக்கு இந்த விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. மாத்ருபாஷா, பாஷா ஜாலகா, ராணா பிரதாப், அஷ்டசிகா மானசி, சங்கிராம சரினாஹி போன்ற புத்தகங்கள் இவரது படைப்புகளுள் சில.
• மூத்த அரசியல்வாதியான இவர், ஒடிசா சட்டசபைக்கு ஐந்து முறை தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார். ஜனாதிபதி ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் ஜூலை 2019இல் இவரை ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தின் 23வது ஆளுநராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.

5. West Bengal contributes the highest to Small Savings Schemes

• West Bengal accounts for the highest collection of about Rs. 90,000 crore from small savings schemes such as NSC and PPF among the States and Union Territories, which is about 15 per cent of the total corpus of 5.96 lakh crores.
• It is followed by Uttar Pradesh, the largest state in terms of population with 69,660.70 crore as per data collated by the National Savings Institute under Finance Ministry.

5. சிறுசேமிப்பு திட்டங்களுக்கு மேற்கு வங்கம் அதிக பங்களிப்பு செய்துள்ளது

6. First Image of a Black Hole’s Magnetic field has been revealed

• A black hole imaged in polarised light, revealing its magnetic fields.
• The image of M87’s black hole provided overwhelming support for the idea that supermassive black holes lurk in the hearts of most (if not all) galaxies. They hold the galaxies together and governing their dynamics and evolution. But exactly how they operate is unclear.

Black Hole

• Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) showed the world the first ever image of a black hole back in April 2019. Weighing in at 6.5 million times the mass of our Sun, this supermassive black hole is in the galaxy Messier 87, or M87, 55 million light years away from Earth.
• This was the first direct evidence that black holes exist. It also provided an extraordinary test of Einstein’s theory of gravity and its underlying notions of space and time probing gravity in its most extreme limits.

6. ஒரு கருப்பு துளையின் காந்தப்புலத்தின் முதல் படம் வெளியிடப்பட்டது

• துருவப்படுத்தப்பட்ட கருந்துளையின் முதல் படம் சுழலும் காந்தப்புலங்களைக் காட்டுகிறது.

• ஏப்ரல் 2019இல் ஈவன்ட் ஹாரிசான் தொலைநோக்கி(EHT) கருந்துளையின் முதல் படத்தை உலகுக்குக் காட்டியது. நமது சூரியனைவிட5 மில்லியன் மடங்கு எடையுள்ள இந்த மிகப்பெரிய கருந்துளை மெஸ்ஸியர் 87, அல்லது M87 எனப்படும், பூமியிலிருந்து 55 மில்லியன் ஒளி ஆண்டுகள் தொலைவில் உள்ள அண்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
• கருந்துளைகள் உள்ளன என்பதற்கான முதல் நேரடி சான்று இதுவாகும். இது ஐன்ஸ்டீனின் புவியீர்ப்பு கோட்பாடு மற்றும் தீவிர வரம்புகளில் ஈர்ப்பு விசையை ஆராயும் விண்வெளி மற்றும் நேரம் பற்றிய அதன் அடிப்படைக் கருத்துகளின் அசாதாரண சான்றையும் வழங்கியது.

7. Cave belonging to Megalithic era was found in Paniyadi of Udupi district

• A cave that was found during the renovation work of Sri Ananta Padmanabha Temple at Paniyadi in Udupi recently belongs to the Megalithic period. The cave belongs to 800 BC and is of 2,000 years old in antiquity.
• Similar megalithic rock-cut caves have been found at Pavanje Subrahmanya Temple, Sooda Subrahmanya Temple, Sasturu Subrahmanya Temple and elsewhere in coastal Karnataka.
• The discovery is unique in understanding the antiquity of the Phanis.

Phanis

• Pani and Haadi, together forming Paniyadi, means settlement of Phanis.
• Phanis were referred to in the Mahabharatha and the Puranas as an ancient original inhabitants of the country.
• Phanis were famous for their Naga worship while Naga was their totemic emblem.

7. உடுப்பி மாவட்டத்தின் பாணியாடியில் பெருங்கற்காலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த குகை கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

• உடுப்பியில் உள்ள பாணியாடியில் உள்ள ஸ்ரீ அனந்த பத்மநாப கோயிலின் புனரமைப்புப் பணியின்போது சமீபத்தில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு குகை பெருங்கற்காலத்தைச் சேர்ந்ததாகும். இந்த குகை கிமு 800க்கு சொந்தமானது மற்றும் 2,000 ஆண்டுகள் பழமையானது.
• பவன்ஜே சுப்ரமணியன் கோயில், சூதா சுப்ரமணியன் கோயில், சஸ்துரு சுப்ரமணியன் கோயில் மற்றும் கடலோர கர்நாடகாவின் பிற இடங்களில் இதே போன்ற பெருங்கற்காலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த பாறையில் வெட்டப்பட்ட குகைகள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• இந்த கண்டுபிடிப்பு பாணியர்களின் பழைமையைப் புரிந்து கொள்வதில் பங்காற்றும்.

• பாணி மற்றும் ஹாடி ஆகிய பழங்குடியினர் சேர்ந்து பாணியாடியை உருவாக்கினர்.
• பாணியர்களின் குடியேற்றம். மகாபாரதத்திலும் புராணங்களிலும் பாணிகள் நாட்டின் பண்டைய பூர்வகுடிமக்கள் என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
• பாணியர்கள் தங்கள் நாக வழிபாட்டிற்கு பிரபலமானவர்கள்.
