TAMIL NADU

1. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister appoints Jeyaranjan as the Vice-Chairperson of Tamil Nadu State Development Policy Council

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin appointed Jeyaranjan as the Vice-Chairperson of the State Development Policy Council (SDPC). Prof R. Srinivasan was appointed as the full-time member along with the eight part-time members of the SDPC.

State Development Policy Council (SDPC)

• The State Planning Commission was constituted on 25 May 1971 by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Karunanidhi. Since the Union Government scrapped the Planning Commission, the State Planning Commission was officially replaced by the State Development Policy Council (SDPC) in April 2020 after an announcement in the Budget 2018.
• Chief Minister is the head of SDPC. SDPC would advise the government on policy coherence and formulation of programs to guide the development of the State.

1. 1. தமிழ்நாடு மாநில வளர்ச்சிக் கொள்கை குழுவின் துணைத் தலைவராக ஜெயரஞ்சனை தமிழக முதல்வர் நியமித்துள்ளார்

• மாநில வளர்ச்சிக் கொள்கை குழுவின் (எஸ்.டி.பி.சி.) துணைத் தலைவராக ஜெயரஞ்சனை தமிழக முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் நியமித்தார்.  பேராசிரியர் ஆர். சீனிவாசன், எஸ்.டி.பி.சி.யின் எட்டு பகுதி நேர உறுப்பினர்களுடன் முழுநேர உறுப்பினராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

மாநில வளர்ச்சிக் கொள்கை குழு (எஸ்.டி.பி.சி.)

• மாநிலத் திட்டக்குழு 25 மே 1971 அன்று அப்போதைய தமிழக முதலமைச்சர் மு. கருணாநிதியால் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. மத்திய அரசு திட்டக்குழுவை ரத்து செய்ததில் இருந்து, 2018ஆம் ஆண்டு பட்ஜெட் அறிவிப்புக்குப் பிறகு, ஏப்ரல் 2020இல் மாநில திட்டக் குழு அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக மாநில வளர்ச்சிக் கொள்கை குழு (எஸ்.டி.பி.சி) என மாற்றப்பட்டது.
• முதலமைச்சர், மாநில வளர்ச்சிக் கொள்கை குழுவின் தலைவராவார். மாநிலத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு வழிகாட்டும் வகையில் கொள்கை ஒத்திசைவு மற்றும் திட்டங்களை உருவாக்குவது குறித்து எஸ்.டி.பி.சி அரசுக்கு ஆலோசனை வழங்கும்.

2. An NGO ‘Clean Coonoor’ establishes a Butterfly-park in a reclaimed dump yard in Coonoor

• The NGO ‘Clean Coonoor’ along with Wynter-Blyth Association, which documents butterfly species in the Western Ghats established a Butterfly-park in a reclaimed dump yard in Coonoor with native grasses and shrubs.
• It was done to mark World Environment Day (5 June). The NGO runs the dump yard with the assistance of the municipality.

2. ‘கிளீன் குன்னூர்‘ என்னும் அரசு சாரா அமைப்பு குன்னூரில் மீட்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட பட்டாம்பூச்சி பூங்காவை நிறுவியது

• மேற்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலையில் பட்டாம்பூச்சி இனங்களை ஆவணப்படுத்தும் வைண்டர்–ப்ளைத் அசோசியேஷனுடன் இணைந்து ‘கிளீன் குன்னூர்‘ என்ற அரசு சாரா அமைப்பு, குன்னுரில் உள்ள மீட்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட குப்பைமேட்டில் உள்நாட்டு பூர்வீக புற்கள் மற்றும் புதர்களுடன் ஒரு பட்டாம்பூச்சி பூங்காவை நிறுவியது.
• இது உலக சுற்றுச்சூழல் தினத்தை (ஜூன் 5) குறிக்கும் வகையில் நிறுவப்பட்டது. நகராட்சியின் உதவியுடன் இந்த அரசு சாரா அமைப்பு குப்பைமேட்டை பராமரித்து வருகிறது.

ECONOMY

3. G7 countries agree to the global minimum tax of 15 % on multinational companies

• G7 countries’ Finance Ministers Meet agreed to a global minimum tax of 15 % on multinational companies on a country-country basis.
• The biggest companies should pay tax where they generate sales and not just where they have a physical presence.
• Tax will be imposed on at least 20% of profit exceeding a 10% margin for the largest and most profitable multinational enterprises.

G7

• G7 is an intergovernmental organisation of industrialised democracies that was formed in 1975. It includes the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy and UK. The group meets annually to discuss the areas of common interest.
• It became G8 after Russia joined the team in 1997. However, Russia was removed after annexed Crimea in 2014.

3. பன்னாட்டு நிறுவனங்கள் மீது 15% குறைந்தபட்ச வரி விதிக்க G7 நாடுகள் ஒப்புக்கொண்டன

• பன்னாட்டு நிறுவனங்கள் தாங்கள் செயல்படும் ஒவ்வொரு நாட்டிலும் குறைந்தபட்சம் 15% வரி செலுத்த வேண்டும் என G7 நாடுகள் நிதி அமைச்சர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.
• பன்னாட்டு நிறுவனங்கள் அவர்களின் நிறுவனம் அமைந்திருக்கும் இடத்தில் மட்டுமல்லாமல், அவர்கள் விற்பனையை உருவாக்கும் இடத்திலும் வரி செலுத்த வேண்டும்.

G7

4. The Kempegowda International Airport achieves net energy neutral status

• The Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore, has achieved the net energy neutral status during the FY2021.
• The airport operator Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has set the target to become net energy neutral by FY2021. It has achieved the target by the World Environment Day (5 June) of 2021.

4. கெம்பேகௌடா சர்வதேச விமான நிலையம் நிகர ஆற்றல் நடுநிலை அந்தஸ்தை அடைகிறது

• பெங்களூர் கெம்பேகௌடா சர்வதேச விமான நிலையம் 2021ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் நிகர ஆற்றல் நடுநிலை அந்தஸ்தை அடைந்தது.
• விமான நிலைய செயல்பாட்டாளரான பெங்களூர் சர்வதேச விமான நிலைய நிறுவனம் (BIAL) 2021ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் நிகர ஆற்றல் நடுநிலை அந்தஸ்தை அடைய இலக்கு நிர்ணயித்திருந்தது. இந்நிறுவனம் 2021ஆம் ஆண்டின் உலக சுற்றுச்சூழல் தினத்தன்று (ஜூன் 5) அந்த இலக்கை அடைந்தது.

5. Vidya Prakash was appointed as the Registrar General of the National Green Tribunal

• Additional Sessions Judge Vidya Prakash was appointed as the Registrar General of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

National Green Tribunal (NGT)

• The National Green Tribunal was established on 18 October 2010 under the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010. The main purpose of the tribunal was effective and expeditious disposal of cases relating to environmental protection and conservation of forests and other natural resources. It includes the enforcement of any legal right and relief and compensation for damages to persons and property.
• NGT is set up in four places other than New Delhi. They

6. Union Education Minister releases Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2019–20

• Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishankreleased the Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2019-20 for states and union territories of India.
• Punjab topped this year’s index from its 13^th position last year with a score of 929 out of 1000. It remains poor in learning outcomes and quality of education.

Top 3 States:

• Tamil Nadu ranked third as a result of improvements in its educational governance and management and infrastructure and facilities.
• PGI was first published in 2019 with the reference year 2017–18. It has a set of 70 parameters to catalyse transformational change in the field of school education.
• The following states occupy the highest grade (Grade A++) for 2019–20:
• Punjab
• Chandigarh
• Tamil Nadu
• Andaman and Nicobar Islands
• Kerala

6. மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் செயல்திறன் தரப்படுத்தல் குறியீடு (PGI) 2019–20ஐ வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்

• மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் ரமேஷ் பொக்ரியால் நிஷாங்க் இந்தியாவின் மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களுக்கான செயல்திறன் தரப்படுத்தல் குறியீடு (PGI) 2019–20ஐ வெளியிட்டார்.
• பஞ்சாப் கடந்த ஆண்டு 13வது இடத்தில் இருந்து, 1000க்கு 929 மதிப்பெண்களுடன் இந்த ஆண்டு முதலிடத்தை பிடித்தது. எனினும், கற்றல் விளைவுகள் மற்றும் கல்வியின் தரத்தில் பஞ்சாப் இன்னும் மோசமாகவே உள்ளது.

7. BIMSTEC DAY – 6 June

• BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) is a regional multilateral organisation. It consists of the Bay of Bengal’s littoral states.
• BIMSTEC was formed on 6 June 1997 by Bangkok Declaration. Initially, it was BIST-EC and was changed into BIMST-EC after the inclusion of Myanmar and BIMSTEC after the inclusion of Nepal and Bhutan.

7. 7. BIMSTEC தினம் – 6 ஜூன்

• BIMSTEC (பல்துறை தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் பொருளாதார ஒத்துழைப்புக்கான வங்காள விரிகுடா முன்முயற்சி) ஒரு பிராந்திய பலதரப்பு அமைப்பாகும். இது வங்காள விரிகுடாவின் சுற்றியுள்ள நாடுகளைக் உறுப்பினர்களாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• BIMSTEC பாங்காக் பிரகடனத்தால் 6 ஜூன் 1997இல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. ஆரம்பத்தில் அது BIST-EC என இருந்தது. மியான்மர் சேர்க்கப்பட்ட பின்னர் BIMST-EC என்றானது. மேலும் நேபாளம் மற்றும் பூட்டான் சேர்க்கப்பட்ட பின்னர் BIMSTEC என மாற்றப்பட்டது.

8. Tamil Classical Day – 6 June

• Tamil was recognised as a Classical language by the Government of India on 6 June 2004. The announcement was made by the then President of India, A P J Abdul Kalam, during the joint session of both houses of the Parliament.
• The Government of India’s Institute of Classical Tamil Studies started functioning in Chennai in 2008.
• Greek, Latin, Hebrew, Chinese, Persian, Arabic, Tamil and Sanskrit are the classical languages of the world. The Tamil language family has languages like Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Tulu.
• Language scholars classify 11 qualifications to identify a language as a classical language.
• They are:

1. Language antiquity
2. Mother tongue of dialects
3. Unique and can thrive without other languages
4. Distinguished from other languages by excellence
5. Language grammar principles
6. Literary commonality applicable to other languages
7. Practical literature
8. Secularism
9. Neutral literature
10. Literature that provides noble thoughts
11. Excellence in Art and Literature

• 6 languages have been classified as classical languages in India. They are:

1. Tamil (2004)
2. Sanskrit (2005)
3. Kannada (2008)
4. Telugu (2008)

8. தமிழ் செம்மொழி நாள் – 6 ஜூன்

• இந்திய அரசால் தமிழ், செம்மொழியாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட நாள் 6 ஜூன் 2004. இந்திய நாடாளுமன்றத்தின் இரு அவைகளின் கூட்டுக் கூட்டத்தொடரின் போது அப்போதைய இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் APJ அப்துல் கலாம் இந்த அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்டார்.
• இந்திய அரசின் செம்மொழி தமிழாய்வு நிறுவனம் 2008ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் சென்னையில் செயல்பட தொடங்கியது.
• உலகில் உள்ள மொழிகளில் கிரேக்க மொழி, இலத்தீன் மொழி, எபிரேய மொழி, சீன மொழி, பாரசீக மொழி, அரபு மொழி, தமிழ் மொழி மற்றும் சமஸ்கிருதம் உள்ளிட்டவையே செம்மொழிகளாக உள்ளன. தமிழ்மொழி குடும்பத்தில் தெலுங்கு, மலையாளம், கன்னடம் மற்றும் துளு போன்ற மொழிகள் வழக்கில் உள்ளன.
• ஒரு மொழியை செம்மொழி என அடையாளப்படுத்த மொழி அறிஞர்கள் 11 தகுதிகளை வகைப்படுத்துகின்றனர்.

9. World Food Safety Day – 7 June

• The United Nations General Assembly declared 7 June as the World Food Safety Day in 2018. The day aims to prevent, detect and manage food-borne risks.
• Theme 2021: “Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow”

9. உலக உணவு பாதுகாப்பு தினம் – 7 ஜூன்

• ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச் சபை 2018ஆம் ஆண்டில், 7 ஜூனை உலக உணவு பாதுகாப்பு தினமாக அறிவித்தது. இந்த நாளின் நோக்கம் உணவு மூலம் பரவும் அபாயங்களைத் தடுக்கவும், கண்டறியவும் மற்றும் நிர்வகிக்கவும் செய்வதாகும்.
• 2021 கருப்பொருள்: “ஆரோக்கியமான நாளைக்காக இன்று பாதுகாப்பான உணவு” (Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow)

10. Coronation Day of Chhatrapati Shivaji – 6 June

• Shiv Rajyabhishek Din or Coronation Day of the Great Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji is observed on 6 June every year. He was crowned the Chhatrapati of the Maratha Kingdom on 6 June 1674.
• This year marks his 348^th Coronation anniversary ceremony. The ceremony was celebrated at Raigad Fort, where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was crowned as the Chhatrapati of the Maratha Kingdom.

10. 10. சத்ரபதி சிவாஜியின் முடிசூட்டு நாள் – 6 ஜூன்

• சிவ ராஜ்யாஅபிஷேக தினம் அல்லது மராட்டிய போர்வீரர் மன்னர் சத்ரபதி சிவாஜியின் முடிசூட்டு விழா ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 6 ஜூன் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. அவர் 6 ஜூன் 1674 அன்று மராட்டிய இராஜ்ஜியத்தின் சத்ரபதியாக முடிசூட்டப்பட்டார்.
• இந்த ஆண்டு 348வது முடிசூட்டு விழாவைக் குறிக்கிறது. இந்த விழா ராய்காட் கோட்டையில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது, அந்த கோட்டையில் தான் சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி மகாராஜர் மராட்டிய இராஜ்ஜியத்தின் சத்ரபதியாக முடிசூட்டப்பட்டார்.
