PM Narendra Modi dedicated the Phase – I of SAUNI Yojana Project

 
PM Narendra Modi dedicated the Phase – I of Link II of Saurashtra Narmada Avataran Irrigation (SAUNI) Yojana with an estimated budget of Rs.12,000 crore.

The Link – II pipeline canal has designed to pump Narmada water into 17 dams in Botad, Bhavnagar and Amreli districts. The 257-km line will have capacity to carry 258 million cubic meters of water.

China to launch its first cargo spacecraft:

 
China is set to launch its first cargo spacecraft between April 20 and 24. The Tianzhou-1 has been transferred with a Long March – 7 Y2 carrier rocket from the testing centre to the launch zone in Wenchang, Hainan province, said the office of China’s manned space programme

Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan began his maiden visit to India during which he will meet top Indian leaders, an official statement said. This visit will further strengthen Canada and India’s bilateral defence cooperation, and expand our partnership in the security and defence sectors.

Former A.P. Minister passes away:

 

 
Former A.P. Minister and TDP leader Devineni Rajasekhar alias Nehru, 63, passed away following a cardiac arrest in Hyderabad. Mr. Nehru was a five-time MLA from the Kankipadu constituency in Krishna district.
