India’s first-ever e-fish market app ‘Fishwaale’ was launched in Assam
- Union Minister for Fisheries, Environment and Forest and Excise, Parimal Suklabaidya has launched an application named ‘Fishwaale’ in Assam. It is India’s first-ever e-fish market application to provide a one-stop solution for aquaculture.
- This application was developed by Aqua Blue Global Aquaculture Solutions Private Limited. It will help the buyers and sellers to place orders and sell fish online.

- Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbanand Sonowal launched a port mobile application called MyPort App in Kolkata. This application includes all port details digitally and monitor operations virtually.
- It is targeted towards port users for availing various port services, and is aimed to promote transparency and easy access of port-related information.
NTCA approves new tiger reserve in Chhattisgarh
- National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) approved the Chhattisgarh Government’s proposal to declare the combined areas of the Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary as a tiger reserve.
- This will be Chhattisgarh’s fourth tiger reserve after the Udanti-Sitanadi, Achanakmar and Indravati Reserves.

- India and Croatia have signed an agreement for academic collaboration in traditional medicine systems, especially in the field of Ayurveda.
- This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the All India Institute of Ayurveda and Croatia’s Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster. This agreement will promote academic research, clinical and educational activities, medical education, training and competency building between the two countries.

Union Textiles Ministry inks an MoU with Germany’s GIZ to boost cooperation in sustainable cotton
- Union Textiles Ministry has signed a pact with Germany’s GIZ to increase the value addition from sustainable cotton production in India by focusing on sustainable cotton and strengthening downstream processing.
- The objective of this project is to be focussing on four majorly cotton-producing states — Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

RBI empanells Dhanlaxmi Bank as an Agency Bank
- The Dhanlaxmi Bank has been empanelled as an ‘Agency Bank’ by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to undertake general banking businesses of the union and state governments on behalf of the RBI.
- The bank is now authorised to undertake transactions related to the government businesses such as revenue receipts and payments on behalf of the union/state governments, pension payments in respect of union/state governments, works related to Small Savings Schemes (SSS) and any other item of work specifically devised by the RBI as eligible for agency commission.
PNB launches the ‘6S Campaign’ under customer outreach programme
- Punjab National Bank (PNB) launched the ‘6S Campaign’ under customer outreach programme to extend financial services at a concessional rate during the festival season.
- The ‘6S Campaign’ encapsulates different schemes such as — Swabhiman, Samruddhi, Sampark and Shikhar, Sankalp and Swagat.
- The objective is to drive a special awareness campaign for the development of financial services in India and to accelerate credit growth, improve penetration of social security schemes and drive digital banking push.

Fitch Ratings revises India’s FY22 GDP growth projection to 8.7%
- Fitch Ratings has revised India’s economic growth forecast to 7 per cent from 10 per cent for the current fiscal year FY22 (2021–2022). It also raised India’s GDP growth projection for FY23 (2022–2023) to 10 per cent from an earlier estimation of 8.5 per cent.

- Germany has unveiled the logo for soccer’s 2024 European Championship during a ceremony with a light show in the stadium (Olympiastadion) that will hold the final.
- The logo features an outline of the Henri Delaunay Cup — the bulbous Euro Cup tournament trophy — set on a colored oval outline that resembles the Olympiastadion’s roof.
- The slogan of this Tournament (Euro Cup 2024) is “United at the Heart of Europe”.
