- Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has launched ‘Samarpan web Portal’ on the 105th birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.
- Through this ‘Samarpan Portal’, portal people can register themselves to offer voluntary service in the fields of education, skill development, sports and agriculture.

Hardeep Singh Puri launches ‘Swachh Survekshan 2022’
- Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has launched the ‘Swachh Survekshan 2022’, the seventh edition of the annual cleanliness survey under which district rankings have been introduced for the first time.
- This year’s (2021) survey will create a level playing field for smaller cities by introducing two population categories — under 15,000 and between 15,000 – 25,000.

ICICI Bank offers instant ‘overdraft facility’ to sellers registered on Amazon India
- ICICI Bank has partnered with Amazon India to offer an overdraft (OD) facility upto 25 lakhs to individual sellers and small businesses registered on Amazon India’s online marketplace.
- This partnership enables sellers to avail an overdraft from the ICICI Bank in a process from application to sanction to disbursement — that is entirely digital. Even customers of other banks can avail of the overdraft facility from ICICI Bank if they are registered as sellers with Amazon India.

RBI imposes Rs. 11 lakh penalty on the Jammu & Kashmir State Co-operative Bank
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of 11 lakhs on the Jammu & Kashmir State Co-operative Bank based in Srinagar.
- This penalty was imposed for contravention of Section 23 read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
ICRA revises India’s FY20–22real GDP forecast upwards to 9%
- Rating agency Investment Information and Credit Rating Agency of India Limited (ICRA) has revised its real GDP growth forecast for India in FY20–22 to 9 per cent from 5 per cent.

RBI imposes a monetary penalty of Rs. 2 crores on RBL Bank
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of 2 crores on RBL Bank. This penalty was for non-compliance with the provisions of clause (b) of sub-section (2) of Section 10A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 and also for the non-compliance with the provisions of Section 10 A (2) (b) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.

- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) tested a new version of the Akash Missile named ‘Akash Prime’ from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) inChandipur, Odisha.
- Akash Prime is equipped with an indigenous active RF (radio frequency) seeker for improved accuracy. Other improvements also ensure more reliable performance under low-temperature environments at higher altitudes.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai heads a panel on rationalization of GST rates
- The Government of India has tasked a group of ministers (GoM) led by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj S. Bommai with proposing a rationalisation of tax rates and considering the merger of different tax slabs within two months.
- Currently, the GST regime has five broad tax rate slabs of zero, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%, with a cess levied over and above the 28% on some goods and special rates for items like precious stones and diamonds.

- Chairman and Managing Director of CavinKare Private Limited, CK Ranganathan, was appointed as the new President of All India Management Association (AIMA) for a period of one year till the National Management Convention is held in September 2022.
- He succeeded Harsh Pati Singhania, Vice-chairman & Managing Director of JK Paper Ltd.
- AIMA is a statutory body for the regulation and licensing of the management profession in India.

Indian archer Jyothi Surekha bags an unprecedented third silver medal atthe World Archery Championships in Yankton
- Indian archer Jyothi Surekha won the third silver medal at the World Archery Championships held in Yankton, the US.
- She earlier won two silver medals in compound women’s team and mixed team events, respectively. It was Indian’s sixth medal in the World Archery Championships.
Rohit Sharma becomes the first player to score 1000 runs against a particular opposition in IPL
- Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma scripted a new Indian Premier League (IPL) record as he became the first player in history to score more than 1000 runs against a particular opposition.
England all-rounder Moeen Ali retires from Test cricket
- The 34-year-old England all-rounder Moeen Ali announced his retirement from Test cricket. He is currently playing in the Indian Premier League 2021 with the Chennai Super Kings.
- Moeen Ali has represented England in 64 Tests, scoring 2,914 runs at an average of 29. The left-handed batsman has five centuries and 14 half-centuries in the longest format.
