Exam Pattern of RBI Assistant 2017 : Prelims & Mains

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the notification for the most awaited exam for the post of Assistant in the respective states. The total number of vacancies available for the post of RBI Assistant is 623. What are the changes in the exam pattern of the RBI Assistant? Is there any modification in the topics asked in the RBI Assistant.

• There is no change in the exam pattern in the Preliminary Examination of the RBI Assistant 2017.
• There are some changes in the Mains Examination of the RBI Assistant 2017 and sectional timing has been included in this year’s mains examination which amounts to 2 Hours 15 minutes which is defined individually for different sections.
• Lastly Reasoning , Quantitaive Aptitude and English section will be given 30 minutes individually and General Awareness section will be provided with 25 minutes and computer awareness section with 20 minutes which as said amounts to a total of 2 Hours 15 Minutes ( This is not composite time for all the sections rather than sectional Timings for each section)

There are three phases of Exam for RBI Assistant 2017. The Final phase will be the language proficiency test, since the interview phase for the lower grade posts were scraped the previous year. Even last year too, this exam had Language Proficiency Test as the Final Phase for the RBI ASSISTANT 2017.

• Phase I : Online Preliminary Examination
• Phase II : Online Mains Examination
• Phase III : Language Proficiency Test

EXAM PATTERN OF ONLINE PRELIMS EXAM OF RBI ASSISTANT 2017

The Preliminary Exam Pattern is unchanged and is pretty much the same as that of the previous years. Also note that this exam is one of the complex exam to crack with qualifying marks in the higher range. So your accuracy rate and the number of attempts should be high, to crack the RBI Assistant. So prepare in a way, to attend maximum questions in the preliminary examination.

As said above , individual sectional timings are there this time and the pattern is not changed. There is one change which is different from IBPS PO , Computer knowledge section is there in the mains Examination. In many of the mains examination Computer knowledge is separated and asked in the Reasoning section as Computer Aptitude section. So this is the main change apart from the other ones.

The Language Proficiency Test is the last phase of the RBI Assistant 2017. The candidate has to clear the Language Proficiency Test to finally get selected in the RBI Assistant 2017. The regional Language Test is the local language which is mentioned in the Language list of the RBI in the notification.
