Exam Pattern of the UIIC Assistants 2017

The most expected exam’s notifications have been released and there has been changes in the exam pattern of the UIIC Assistants when compared to the previous years. The recent changes in the exam have to be noted to excel in the exams. Also this will help you to devise a strategy to ace the exams.

NEW EXAM PATTERN OF UIIC ASSISTANTS 2017
Since Interview for the Clerical and lower grade posts has been nullified a year back , there has been changes in almost all the exams for the clerical and assistants level. Only Language tests will be the final one to choose the candidates after the Online Examinations.
United India Insurance Company Ltd. had assistants exams in the year 2015 and at that time , the exam pattern was totally different from what is now mentioned. At that exam , there was a preliminary exam which had 200 Questions for 250 marks and also Interview as the last round of selection. The scenario of exam pattern is entirely different as there is no interview for the assistants posts.
UIIC Assistants exam 2017 has two Online examinations , Preliminary and a Mains Examination for shortlisting the candidates for the Language Test. Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will be further shortlisted for Regional Language test before final selection.
Tier-I: Preliminary Examination:
Number of Questions : 100
Total Marks : 100
Duration : 1 Hour
The preliminary examination would be a online examination for a duration of One hour consisting of 3 sections like Test of English Language , Test of Reasoning and Test of Numerical Ability. This will be same as the other preliminary exams which have the same pattern.

Other than the English section , the other two sections questions will be in Hindi and English. Candidates have to obtain the minimum qualification marks in the preliminary section to qualify for the mains examination. Candidates equal to 7 times the total number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the mains examination. Candidates have to qualify both the overall cutoff and the individual sectional cutoff to qualify for the next mains examination.
Tier-II: Main Examination:

Duration of the Mains Examination : 2 Hours

- Candidates have to get the minimum qualifying marks in each category and also have to cross the overall cutoff in the mains examination.
- NOTE: Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for On-line Examination and Regional Language Test.
- The candidates clearing the mains examination will be called for the Regional Language test
- The Regional Language test is of qualifying nature.
- Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the On-line Main Examination subject to qualifying the Regional Language Test.
- Since Time is not mentioned anywhere in the notification , this exam will have a composite time of 2 Hours for the entire exam. This will be the same until if there is any changes by UIIC.
- There are negative marks for both the Preliminary examinations and also for the Mains Examination. (1/4 of the marks will be deducted for the wrong answers).
