Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Assistant Engineers (A.E) – Civil/ Electrical /Structural /MEP & Assistant Architect (A.A) and Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) Specialist.

Candidates should apply through On-line mode only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

The total number of vacancies available for the LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment notification is 218 Vacancies.

Important Dates – LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment

Aspirants can start applying for LIC AAO & AE Recruitment 2020 from 25^th February 2020 and ends on 15^th March 2020.

Age Limit – LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment

The age limit for the LIC AAO & AE 2020 will be considered as on 1^st February 2020.

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years

Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.02.1990 and not later than 01.02.1999 both days inclusive only are eligible.

Relaxations in upper age limit for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/Other Backward Community(OBC)/ Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECO) /Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCO) /Persons with Benchmark Disabilities

(PwBD) /Confirmed LIC employees/ shall be as under:

Educational Qualification – LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment

• All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/Institute/ Board recognized by Govt. of India / approved by the Government Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 01.02.2020. Proper documents from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.02.2020 have to be submitted at the time of the interview.
• The date of passing the examination which is reckoned for eligibility will be the date of passing appearing on the mark sheet / provisional certificate.
• Candidates can apply for only one post. In the case of multiple applications, all the applications of the candidate will be summarily rejected.
• For AE (Civil): B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three years working experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure.

• For AE (Electrical) : B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three years working experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure.
• For Assistant Architect : B. Arch. from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should be registered with Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of three years experience in designing of all types of buildings with allied services. Candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and application of AutoCAD software and / or similar type software.
• For AE (Structural): M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/ Institution. Candidate should be well versed with structural design of high rise building with the foundation system. He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in handling of structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD etc. Candidates applying for the post must possess minimum one year hands on experience in the area.
• For AE (MEP engineers): B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three years experience in planning and execution of Plumbing / Piping / HVAC system, Lift & Fire Fighting system, Electrical Sub-station in multi storied buildings.
• For AAO (Chartered Accountant) – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant. The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
•  For AAO (Actuarial) – Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st February, 2020. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
•  For AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years Bar experience is essential.
• For AAO (Rajbhasha): Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level

OR

Post Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level

OR

 Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

• For AAO (IT): Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.

Salary & Benefits – LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment

• Basic Pay – Rs.32,795/-
• Total Emoluments also includes various benefits which are mentioned below. – Rs.57,000/-
• Basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month in the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315 and other admissible allowances as per rules.
• Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance etc wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately Rs 57,000/- per month in ‘A’ Class city.
• Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance , Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement of cost of Brief case/leather bags, mobile handset, supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc.as per rules.
• Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Administrative Officers (Chartered Accountant) with two years post qualification work experience on the date of eligibility are eligible for two advance increments.

Service Conditions – LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment

• The service conditions will be applicable as per the prevalent rules of the LIC from time to time.
• The advertised posts are regular and selected candidates, on appointment, are liable to be posted or subsequently transferred anywhere in India.
• It may be noted that most of the vacancies of Assistant Engineers are at project locations.
• As such, after selection and successful completion of training, candidates will be posted to such locations and transferred as and when need arises.

Probation – LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment

• A candidate after appointment shall be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining.
• This period may be extended upto two years.

Guarantee Bond – LIC AAO & AE 2020 Recruitment

• Before joining as a Probationer, candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining (including probationary period) failing which, he/she or his /her heirs, executors, administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs.5,00,000/-only (Rupees Five Lakhs only) + GST or the sum of amount the Executive Director (Personnel) may prescribe from time to time.
• GST or any other tax payable shall also be borne by the candidate. The candidate will have to submit Deed of Indemnity and surety at his cost, duly stamped and notarized, the stamp value of which will be as applicable to the State in which the deed is executed by the candidate.

• Selection of Assistant Engineers and Assistant Administrative Officers will be done through a three tiered process and subsequent Pre-recruitment Medical examination.

• Tier – III – Interview
