United India Insurance Company Limited has invited applications for the post of ASSISTANT and the total number of vacancies available under this post is 696 posts. Aspirants / Candidates who are graduates in any discipline and also have the knowledge of reading , writing , speaking of regional language of the state of recruitment is really essential and also the exam pattern have been changed since the announcement of the removal of interview for the lower grade posts.

Out of the total vacancies , many of them lies in Gujarat , Maharashtra , Karnataka and TamilNadu. Other states have few vacancies out of the total 696 posts. The above said vacancies are provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of UIIC and the final merit list will be derived based on statewise and categorywise. ROLE OF ASSISTANT

• Maintaining the administration of the Office
• Insurance Policy Issuance ( Periodically / Routinely )
• Regularly filling up the Insurance Forms and documents and Updating them if there is any changes
• Payments acceptance from Customers
• Database maintenance and Updating the database of the clients
• Insurance settlement claims to the customers / clients
• Providing support and service to the Clients / Customers
• Handling Policy Claims
• Responsible for maintaining the daily works of the other grade staffs

Salary , Emoluments & Benefits

*The total emoluments mentioned in the above table is for the assistants posted in the metro cities.

*Other allowances may vary according to the place of posting. 

Career Progression

The candidates who are posted as assistant may enjoy the benefits which are mentioned above and also it may vary according to the place of posting. An Assistant can go higher up in the system , as a Administrative officer after two years of serving as Assistant and during their tenure as an assistant if they have passed any exams which is recognized by the organization , they may even get the promotion as AO immediately after their two year tenure.

After serving as AO , they can progress to Development Officer after serving for a certain period and after that they can progress to the post of Managers category. These progression take certain period of time according to the posts and even can have difference in the time.

Probation Period

Probation Period : Minimum 6 Months

The performance of the newly recruited candidates will be evaluated before the end of the probation period. If the appointed candidates fails to meet the expectation of the company the probation period may be extended as per the rules of the company.
