Dear SSC Aspirants,
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has released the recruitment notification for the SSC JE (Junior Engineer) Exam 2019.
The posts available in SSC JE Recruitment 2019 are Group B (Non-Gazetted) and the vacancies available for this exams are for the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts for various various Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India.
The posts are Group B (Non-Gazetted), in Level- 6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.
This is the first major recruitment by a Central Government agency carrying the reservation benefits for recently announced 10 per cent quota for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) from the general category.
It has been quoted in the notification as “Reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Disability (PwD) etc would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Offices, as per extant Government Orders”.

- For the posts where equivalent Degree/ Diploma are specified in the Educational Qualifications, the candidate possessing such equivalent Degree/ Diploma Certificate shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the concerned authorities.
- The posts where experience is required, such experience must be acquired by the candidates after completing minimum educational qualification as specified for the concerned post.
- As per UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 published in official Gazette on 23-06-2017, under Part-I (2)(p), the programmes in engineering are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.

- Application Fee: Rs.100/- (Can be paid through BHIM UPI, SBI Challan/Net Banking or by Using Visa, Mastercard, Mastero, Rupay Credit or Debit Card.
- Women Candidates & SC, ST , PwD & Ex-Servicemen – Exempted from paying fee (No Fee – Based on eligibility of reservation)
Scheme of Examination – SSC JE Recruitment 2019
The Examination will consist of two Papers.
- Paper I – Computer Based Examination
- Paper II – Descriptive Type
- Document Verification
- Candidates are allowed to bring their own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Tables and Steam Table for Paper-II only. They are not allowed to use such aids for Paper-I.
- Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:

- Based on the normalized marks scored in the (Paper-I) i.e. Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Paper-II.
- Based on the performance in Paper-I+Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for Document
- Final selection and allocation of Ministries/ Departments will be made on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper-I+Paper-II and the preference of Posts/ Departments exercised by them at the time of Document
