1. Fourth batch of 3 Rafale fighter jets arrived in India from France

• The fourth batch of three Rafale fighter jets arrived in India from France. The jets were provided mid-air refuelling by air force tankers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

• Rafale is a twin-engine multirole fighter aircraft with mid-air refuelling
• The Rafale jets were manufactured by Dassault Aviation of France.
• They are India’s first major acquisition of fighter planes in 23 years after the Sukhoi jets were imported from Russia.

• ரஃபேல்நடுவானில் எரிபொருள் நிரப்பும் தொழில்நுட்பத்துடன் கூடிய இரட்டை என்ஜின் பலபணி போர் விமானம் ஆகும்.
• ரஃபேல் ஜெட் விமானங்கள் பிரெஞ்சு விண்வெளி நிறுவனமான டசால்ட் ஏவியேஷனால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டன.
• ரஷ்யாவிலிருந்து சுகோய் ஜெட் விமானங்கள் இறக்குமதி செய்யப்பட்ட 23 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பின்னர் இந்தியாவின் முதல் பெரிய போர் விமானங்களை கையகப்படுத்துதல் இதுவே.

2. Indian Skipper Virat Kohli retained top spot in ICC ODI rankings

• Team India captain Virat Kohli has retained his top spot in the ICC rankings for ODI batsmen with 870 points. Rohit Sharma has been ranked third, behind Pakistan’s Babar Azam. K L Rahul has moved up from 31^st to 27^th Hardik Pandya has achieved a career-best 42^nd position while Rishabh Pant has entered the top 100.
• In the bowler’s list, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has slipped a place to fourth with 690 points. Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has gained nine slots to reach the 11th position.
• In the Test rankings, spinner Ravichandran Ashwin retained his second spot behind Australia’s Pat Cummins.

• ஒருநாள் பேட்ஸ்மேன்களுக்கான ஐசிசி தரவரிசையில் இந்திய அணியின் கேப்டன் விராட் கோலி 870 புள்ளிகளுடன் தனது முதல் இடத்தைத் தக்க வைத்துக் கொண்டார். பாகிஸ்தானின் பாபர் ஆசாமுக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக ரோஹித் சர்மா மூன்றாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளார். கே.எல்.ராகுல் 31இல் இருந்து 27வது இடத்திற்கு முன்னேறியுள்ளார். ஹர்திக் பாண்டியா அவர் சாதனையில் சிறந்த 42வது இடத்தையும், ரிஷப் பந்த் முதல் 100 வீரர்கள் பட்டியலிலும் இணைந்துள்ளார்.
• பந்து வீச்சாளர் பட்டியலில், இந்திய வேகப்பந்து வீச்சாளர் ஜஸ்பிரீத் பும்ரா 690 புள்ளிகளுடன் நான்காவது இடத்திற்கு முன்னேறியுள்ளார். மற்றொரு வேகப்பந்து வீச்சாளர் புவனேஷ்வர் குமார் ஒன்பது இடங்கள் முன்னேறி 11வது இடத்தைப் பிடித்தார்.

3. Marathi writer Dr Sharankumar Limbale received Saraswati Samman 2020

• Marathi writer Dr Sharankumar Limbale received Saraswati Samman, 2020 for his book Sanatan. The award carries fifteen lakh rupees, a citation and a plaque.

• Saraswati Samman award was instituted by K K Birla Foundation in 1991.
• It is recognised as the most prestigious and highest literary award in the country.

Sanatan

• Dr Limbale’s Sanatan has been published in 2018. Sanatan is an important social and historical document of dalit struggle.

3. பிரபல மராத்தி எழுத்தாளர் டாக்டர் ஷரன்குமார் லிம்பலேக்கு சரஸ்வதி சம்மான் 2020 வழங்கப்பட்டது

• பிரபல மராத்தி எழுத்தாளர் டாக்டர் ஷரன்குமார் லிம்பலே தனது சனாதன் புத்தகத்திற்காக 2020 சரஸ்வதி சம்மனைப் பெறுகிறார். இந்த விருது பதினைந்து லட்சம் ரூபாய் பரிசுத் தொகை, பாராட்டுப் பத்திரம் மற்றும் பட்டயம் ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

சரஸ்வதி சம்மான்

• 1991இல் கே.கே. பிர்லா அறக்கட்டளையால் சரஸ்வதி சம்மான் நிறுவப்பட்டது.
• இது நாட்டின் மிக மதிப்புமிக்க மற்றும் உயர்ந்த இலக்கிய விருதாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

சனாதன்

• டாக்டர் லிம்பலேயின் சனாதன் 2018இல் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. சனாதன் என்பது தலித் போராட்டத்தின் முக்கியமான சமூக மற்றும் வரலாற்று ஆவணமாகும்.

4. Rajinikanth bestowed with Dada Saheb Phalke award

• Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar announced 51^st Dada Saheb Phalke award for Superstar Rajinikanth.

• The prestigious award is named after the father of Indian cinema, Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, and was instituted in 1969.
• The award is conferred by the government for outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema.

4. ரஜினிகாந்திற்கு தாதா சாஹேப் பால்கே விருது அறிவிப்பு

• சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்திற்கு 51வது தாதா சாஹேப் பால்கே விருது வழங்கப்படும் என்று தகவல் மற்றும் ஒளிபரப்புத்துறை அமைச்சர் பிரகாஷ் ஜவடேகர் அறிவித்தார்.

• இந்திய சினிமாவின் தந்தை துண்டிராஜ் கோவிந்த் பால்கேயின் நினைவாக இந்த விருது 1969இல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.
• இந்திய சினிமாவின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும், வளர்ச்சிக்கும் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியதற்காக இந்த விருது இந்திய அரசால் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

5. Russia registered World’s 1^st Covid vaccine Carnivac-Cov for animals

• Russia registered the World’s first coronavirus vaccine for animals.

Carnivak-Cov

• Carnivak-Cov is a sorbate inactivated vaccine against the coronavirus infection for carnivorous animals.
• It was developed by Rosselkhoznadzor’s Federal Center for Animal Health, has been registered in Russia. It is the world’s first and only product for preventing Covid-19 in animals.

5. மிருகங்களுக்கான கரோனா தடுப்பூசியை முதல்முறையாக பதிவு செய்தது ரஷ்யா

• உலகிலேயே முதல்முறையாக கரோனா தொற்றிலிருந்து மிருகங்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பு அளிப்பதற்கான தடுப்பூசியை ரஷ்யா பதிவு செய்துள்ளது.

கார்னிவாக்–கோவ்

• கார்னிவாக்–கோவ், மாமிச விலங்குகளுக்கான கரோனா வைரஸ் நோய்த்தொற்றுக்கு எதிரான தடுப்பூசியாகும்.
• இது ரோசல்கோஸ்னாட்ஸரின் விலங்கு ஆரோக்கியத்திற்கான பெடரல் மையத்தால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு, ரஷ்யாவில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. விலங்குகளில் கோவிட்-19 ஐத் தடுக்கும் உலகின் முதல் மற்றும் ஒரே தயாரிப்பு இதுவே.

6. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attended the 6^th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of New Development Bank virtually.

• Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs and India’s Governor in New Development Bank (NDB), Nirmala Sitharaman, attended the 6^th Annual Meeting of Board of Governors of New Development Bank through video-conference. The meeting was also attended by Governors/Alternate Governors of Brazil, China, Russia and South Africa.

• NDB, a multilateral development bank was set up by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) in 2014
• Objective: Mobilising resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in the BRICS as well as other Emerging Markets Developing Countries of the world.
• Headquarters: Shanghai, China.

6. Tamil translation. புதிய வளர்ச்சி வங்கியின் ஆளுநர்கள் குழுவின் 6வது ஆண்டு கூட்டத்தில் நிதியமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் கலந்து கொண்டார்

7. Facebook and Google planned to instal 12,800 Km Undersea Cable Between the US and SE-Asia

• Two cables Echo and Bifrost will be developed under this project.
• Echo will be developed in partnership with Google and Indonesian telecom giant XL Axiata and will be completed by 2023.
• Bifrost will be developed by Facebook in collaboration with Telin, a subsidiary of Indonesia’s Telkomsel and Singapore-based Keppel, and will be completed by 2024.

• Ninth Sikh Guru Tej Bahadur’s birthday is celebrated on 1 April.
• Guru Tej Bahadur fought against forced conversion and other religious impositions.
• He was beheaded by the Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb in 1675.
