1. Central Government banned the export of Remdesivir and its active ingredients till Covid situation improves in the country

• Central Government has prohibited exports of injection Remdesivir and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients of Remdesivir till the COVID situation in the country improves.
• India is witnessing a recent surge in COVID cases and there are over 11 lakh active COVID cases. This has led to a sudden spike in demand for injection Remdesivir used in the treatment of COVID patients.

1. நாட்டில் கோவிட் தொற்றின் நிலைமை மேம்படும் வரை மத்திய அரசு ரெம்டெசிவிர் மற்றும் அதன் ஆக்கக்கூறுகளின் ஏற்றுமதியை தடை செய்துள்ளது

• நாட்டில் கோவிட் தொற்றின் நிலைமை மேம்படும் வரை ரெம்டெசிவிர் மற்றும் அதன் ஆக்கக்கூறுகளின் ஏற்றுமதியை மத்திய அரசு தடை செய்துள்ளது.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that ‘Teeka Utsav’ is the beginning of 2^nd big war against Corona Pandemic

• The four day long special vaccination drive, Teeka Utsav began on the Birth anniversary of social reformer Jyotiba Phule (11 April) and will culminate on 14 April on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to everyone to follow four-fold principle which include ‘Each One, Vaccinate One’, ‘Each One, Treat One’, ‘Each One, Save One’, and ‘People led the creation of Micro Containment Zones’.

2. ‘டீகா உட்சவ்‘ கரோனா தொற்றுநோய்க்கு எதிரான 2வது பெரிய போரின் ஆரம்பம் என பிரதமர் மோடி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்

• நான்கு நாள் நீடிக்கும் சிறப்பு தடுப்பூசி இயக்கமான டீகா உட்சவ் நாடு முழுவதும் சமூக சீர்திருத்தவாதி ஜோதிபா பூலேவின் பிறந்தநாளில் (11 ஏப்ரல்) தொடங்கப்பட்டு ஏப்ரல் 14ஆம் தேதி டாக்டர் பி.ஆர். அம்பேத்கரின் பிறந்த நாள் விழாவில் நிறைவடையும்.
• நான்கு மடங்கு கொள்கையை அனைவரும் பின்பற்றுமாறு பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்தார். அவை, ‘ஒவ்வொறுவரும், ஒவ்வொறுவரை தடுப்பூசி போடசெய்தல்‘, ‘ஒவ்வொறுவரும், ஒவ்வொறுவருக்கு சிகிச்சை அளித்தல்‘, ‘ஒவ்வொறுவரும், ஒவ்வொறுவரை காப்பாற்றுதல்‘ மற்றும் ‘மக்களாகவே குறு கட்டுப்பாட்டு மண்டலங்களை உருவாக்குதல்’.

ECONOMY

3. Direct Tax collections for last financial year increased by 5 per cent to Rs 9.45 lakh crore

• Direct Tax collections for the last financial year showed growth of almost five per cent despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Direct Tax collections for the financial Year 2020-21 show that net collections are at 45 lakh crore rupees. The Direct Tax collections include Corporation Tax and Personal Income Tax.
• The Finance Ministry said that the Advance Tax collections for the last financial year stand at 4.95 lakh crore rupees which shows a growth of approximately 6.7 percent.
• Refunds amounting to 2.61 lakh crore rupees have been issued in the financial year 2020-21 as against refunds of 1.83 lakh crore rupees issued in the financial year 2019-20.

3. கடந்த நிதியாண்டிற்கான நேரடி வரி வசூல் 5 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்து ரூ. 9.45 லட்சம் கோடியாக உள்ளது

• கோவிட்-19 தொற்றுநோயாலான சவால்கள் இருந்தபோதிலும், கடந்த நிதியாண்டிற்கான நேரடி வரி வசூல் கிட்டத்தட்ட ஐந்து சதவீத வளர்ச்சியைக் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. 2020-21 நிதியாண்டிற்கான நேரடி வரி வசூலின் புள்ளிவிவரங்கள் நிகர வசூல் 45 லட்சம் கோடி ரூபாய் என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளது. நேரடி வரி வசூலில் நிறுவன வரி மற்றும் தனிநபர் வருமான வரி ஆகியவை அடங்கும்.
• கடந்த நிதியாண்டிற்கான முன்கூட்டிய வரி வசூல்95 லட்சம் கோடி ரூபாயாக உள்ளது, இது சுமார் 6.7 சதவீத வளர்ச்சியைக் காட்டுகிறது என்று நிதி அமைச்சகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
• 2019-20 நிதியாண்டில்83 லட்சம் கோடி ரூபாயும் 2020-21 நிதியாண்டில் 2.61 லட்சம் கோடி ரூபாயும் திரும்பச் செலுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

4. The country’s first green bond which was issued by Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation was listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)

• This is the first-ever green bond issued by any municipal corporation in India. Ghaziabad is the tenth city in India and second in Uttar Pradesh to issue Municipal bond.

• Green bonds are bonds which are issued to raise fund for climate and environmental projects.
• The first green bond was issued by World Bank in 2009.

5. Tropical cyclone Seroja has ripped across 1000 km stretch of Western Australia

• Tropical cyclone Seroja has ripped across a 1000 km stretch of Western Australia.
• The category three storm made landfall near the town of Kalbarri with a windspeed of up to 170 km/h.
• Category three cyclones are very destructive winds and are not usually this far south.
• This unusual path was influenced by a weather phenomenon known as the Fujiwhara Effect.

Fujiwhara Effect

• When two hurricanes, spinning in the same direction, pass close enough to each other, they begin an intense dance around their common center. This effect is known as Fujiwhara Effect.

5. மேற்கு ஆஸ்திரேலியாவின் 1000 கி.மீ நீளமுள்ள நிலப்பரப்பை வெப்பமண்டல சூறாவளி செரோஜா தாக்கியது

• மேற்கு ஆஸ்திரேலியாவின் 1000 கி.மீ நீளமுள்ள நிலப்பரப்பை வெப்பமண்டல சூறாவளி செரோஜா தாக்கியது.
• இந்த வகை மூன்று சூறாவளி நேற்று கல்பாரி நகருக்கு அருகில் மணிக்கு 170 கி.மீ வேகத்தில் வீசி கரையைக் கடந்தது.
• வகை மூன்று சூறாவளி மிகவும் அழிவு ஏற்படுத்தக்கூடிய காற்று ஆகும் மேலும் பொதுவாக இந்த அளவு தெற்கே ஏற்பட்டதில்லை.

• ஒரே திசையில் சுழலும் இரண்டு சூறாவளிகள் ஒன்றையொன்று நெருக்கமாக கடந்து செல்லும்போது, அவை தங்கள் பொதுவான மையத்தைச் சுற்றி ஒரு தீவிர நடனத்தை தொடங்குகின்றன. இந்த விளைவு ஃபுஜிவரா விளைவு என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

6. DCGA recommended emergency use authorisation to Russian Vaccine Sputnik-V

• The Expert panel of the Central drug regulator, DCGA has recommended emergency use authorisation to the Russian Vaccine, Sputnik-V.
• After necessary approval from the DCGA, Sputnik-V will be the third vaccine to get emergency use authorisation from the drug regulator after Covishield and Covaxin.
• The clinical trial of the vaccine in India is being done by Dr Reddy’s Lab. The Hyderabad based, multinational Indian pharma company Dr. Reddy’s Lab has also inked an agreement with the Russian Direct Investment Fund, RDIF, for the supply of the Russian vaccine in India.

• DCGAவிடம் தேவையான ஒப்புதலுக்குப் பிறகு, கோவிஷீல்ட் மற்றும் கோவாக்சினுக்குப் பிறகு மருந்து கட்டுப்பாட்டாளரிடமிருந்து அவசரகால பயன்பாட்டு அங்கீகாரத்தைப் பெறும் மூன்றாவது தடுப்பூசியாக ஸ்பூட்னிக்-V இருக்கும்.

8. Jyothiba Phule Birth anniversary – 11 April

• Jyothiba Phule held radical views on social, religious, political, and economic issues.
• He considered the caste system as an antithesis of the principle of human equality. He sought to raise the morale of the non-Brahmins and united them to revolt against the centuries-old inequality and social degradation.
• Towards this end, Phule founded the Satya Shodak Samaj (Society for Seeking Truth) in 1873. His most important book is Gulamgiri (Slavery).

8. ஜோதிபா பூலே பிறந்தநாள் ஆண்டுவிழா – 11 ஏப்ரல்

• ஜோதிபா பூலே அரசியல், சமூகம், பொருளாதாரம், மதம் ஆகியவை தொடர்பான பிரச்சனைகளில் முற்போக்கான கருத்துக்களைக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.
• சாதி முறையானது பிராமணர் அல்லாதோரின் உணர்வுகளைத் தட்டி எழுப்பி, பல நூற்றாண்டு காலமாக நிலவி வரும் சமத்துவமின்மை, சமூகத்தாழ்வு நிலை ஆகியவற்றுக்கு எதிராக அவர்களைப் புரட்சி செய்ய ஒருங்கிணைந்து போராட்டங்களை மேற்கொள்ளச் செய்தார்.
• இந்த லட்சியங்களை அடைவதற்காக சத்ய சோதக் சமாஜம் (உண்மை தேடும் சங்கம்) என்ற அமைப்பை 1873இல் நிறுவினார். மக்களின் கல்வியே விடுதலைக்கான புரட்சிகரமான காரணியாக இருக்கும் என்று கூறினார். இவர் எழுதிய முக்கிய நூல் ‘குலாம்கிரி’ (அடிமைத்தனம்) என்பதாகும்.

9. National Safe Motherhood Day – 11 April

• National Safe Motherhood Day is an annual celebration on 11 April to create awareness of access to adequate care during pregnancy, and post-natal services.
• Theme of 2021 Safe Motherhood Day: ‘Stay at home during coronavirus, keep mother and newborn safe from coronavirus’
• In 2003, the Government of India declared 11 April, the birth anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi as National Safe Motherhood Day.
• The declaration is an initiative of White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI), an alliance of 1800 organisations.

9. தேசிய பாதுகாப்பான தாய்மை தினம் – 11 ஏப்ரல்

• தேசிய பாதுகாப்பான தாய்மை தினம் என்பது கர்ப்ப காலத்தில் போதுமான கவனிப்பு மற்றும் பிரசவத்திற்குப் பிந்தைய சேவைகளை அணுகுவதற்கான விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக 11 ஏப்ரல் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படும் வருடாந்திர கொண்டாட்டமாகும்.

11. World Parkinson’s Day – 11 April

• World Parkinson’s Day is observed on 11 April each year. This day tries to create awareness about Parkinson’s disease.
• World Parkinson’s Disease Day marks the birthday of Dr. J Parkinson to increase the public awareness of this disease.
• Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder PD commonly presents with symptoms of tremor, rigidity, slowness or bradykinesia, speech issues, and balance and walking issues.
• One of the prominent symbols of Parkinson’s disease is the red tulip.
