ECONOMY

1. Money kept in various cash wallets can be withdrawn from ATM and PoS terminals soon

• Money kept in various cash wallets can be withdrawn from ATM and Point of Sale terminals, said Reserve Bank of India after the Monetary Policy Committee’s Meeting. The wallet includes Delhi Metro Card, Amazon Pay, Phonepe, Ola Money, Mobikwick wallet etc.
• Money can be loaded in these wallets, it can be transferred to another wallet or bank account, or it can be used to make payment during online transactions. Soon money from these instruments can be withdrawn using an ATM.
• Now balance in these wallets has been increased from 1 lakhs to 2 lakhs. Besides this, RBI also allowed these wallets, credit, and prepaid cards to use RTGS and NEFT for money transfer.

• இந்த வாலட்டுகளில் பணத்தை போட்டு, அதை மற்றொரு வாலட் அல்லது வங்கிக் கணக்கிற்கு மாற்றலாம் அல்லது ஆன்லைன் பரிவர்த்தனைகளின் போது பணம் செலுத்த பயன்படுத்தலாம்.விரைவில் இந்த கருவிகளில் இருந்து ஏடிஎம் மூலம் பணம் எடுக்கலாம். 
• இப்போது இந்த வாலட்டின் இருப்பு 1 லட்சத்திலிருந்து 2 லட்சமாக உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.இது தவிர, ரிசர்வ் வங்கி இந்த வாலட்டுகள், கிரெடிட் மற்றும் ப்ரீபெய்ட் கார்டுகளை RTGS மற்றும் NEFT பண பரிமாற்றத்திற்கு பயன்படுத்த அனுமதித்துள்ளது.

2. India-Seychelles High-Level Virtual Event was held

• Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the Republic of Seychelles H.E. Wavel Ramkalawan took part in a high-level virtual event and inaugurated a range of Indian projects in Seychelles.

The projects inaugurated are:

1. Joint e-inauguration of the new Magistrates’ Court Building in Seychelles
2. Handing over of a Fast Patrol Vessel to Seychelles Coast Guard
3. Handing over of a 1 MW Solar Power Plant
4. Inauguration of 10 High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs)

2. இந்தியா–சீஷெல்ஸ் உயர் நிலை மெய்நிகர் நிகழ்வு நடைபெற்றது

• இந்திய பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி மற்றும் சீஷெல்ஸ் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் எச்.இ.வேவல் ராம்கலவனுடன் உயர் மட்ட மெய்நிகர் நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்பார் சீஷெல்ஸில் பல்வேறு வகையான இந்தியத் திட்டங்களைத் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

SCHEMES

3. Union Cabinet approved Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods

• The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods (Air Conditioners and LED Lights) with a budgetary outlay of Rs. 6,238 crores as an important step towards the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
• Objective: To make manufacturing in India globally competitive by removing sectoral disabilities, creating economies of scale, and ensuring efficiencies.
• The scheme will provide an incentive of 4% to 6% on incremental sales of goods manufactured in India for a period of five years to companies engaged in manufacturing of Air Conditioners and LED Lights.

3. வெள்ளை பொருட்களுக்கான உற்பத்தியோடு இணைக்கப்பட்ட ஊக்கத்தொகை (பி.எல்.ஐ) திட்டத்திற்கு மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது

• ‘ஆத்மனிர்பர் பாரத்’ஐ நோக்கிய மற்றொரு முக்கியமான படியாக பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தலைமையிலான மத்திய அமைச்சரவை, வெள்ளை பொருட்களுக்கான (ஏர் கண்டிஷனர்கள் மற்றும் LED விளக்குகள்) உற்பத்தியோடு இணைக்கப்பட்ட ஊக்கத்தொகை (பி.எல்.ஐ) திட்டத்திற்கு ரூ. 6,238 கோடி பட்ஜெட்டுடன் ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது.
• நோக்கம்: துறைசார் குறைபாடுகளை நீக்குவதன் மூலமும், அளவிடும் பொருளாதாரங்களை உருவாக்குவதன் மூலமும், செயல்திறனை உறுதி செய்வதன் மூலமும் இந்தியாவில் உற்பத்தியை உலகளவில் போட்டியிடச் செய்வது.
• வெள்ளை பொருட்களுக்கான பி.எல்.ஐ திட்டம் ஏர் கண்டிஷனர்கள் மற்றும் LED விளக்குகள் தயாரிப்பில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள நிறுவனங்களுக்கு ஐந்து வருட காலத்திற்கு இந்தியாவில் உற்பத்தி செய்யப்படும் பொருட்களின் விற்பனையில் 4% முதல் 6% வரை ஊக்கத்தொகை வழங்கப்படும்.

4. Cabinet approved Production Linked Incentive scheme ‘National Programme on High Efficiency Solar PV Modules’

• The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s proposal for the implementation of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme ‘National Programme on High-Efficiency Solar PV (Photo Voltic) Modules’ for achieving manufacturing capacity of Giga Watt (GW) scale in high-efficiency solar PV modules with an outlay of Rs. 4,500 crore.
• The scheme will reduce import dependence in a strategic sector like electricity and support the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
• Solar PV manufacturers will be selected through a transparent, competitive bidding process. PLI will be disbursed for 5 years post commissioning of solar PV manufacturing plants on sales of high-efficiency solar PV modules. The PLI amount will increase with increased module efficiency and increased local value addition.

4. உற்பத்தியோடு இணைக்கப்பட்ட ஊக்கத்தொகை திட்டமான ‘உயர் திறன் கொண்ட சூரிய PV தொகுதிகளுக்கான தேசிய திட்டத்திற்கு’ அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது

• பிரதம மந்திரி நரேந்திர மோடி தலைமையிலான அமைச்சரவை, அதிக திறன் கொண்ட சோலார் PV தொகுதிகளில் கிகா வாட் (GW) அளவிலான உற்பத்தி திறனை அடைவதற்காக புதிய மற்றும் புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க எரிசக்தி அமைச்சகத்தின் திட்டமான உற்பத்தியோடு இணைக்கப்பட்ட ஊக்கத்தொகை (பி.எல்.ஐ) திட்டமான ரூ. 4,500 கோடி பட்ஜெட் கொண்ட ‘உயர் திறன் கொண்ட சூரிய PV (போட்டோ வோல்டிக்) தொகுதிகளுக்கான தேசிய திட்டத்திற்கு’ ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது.
• இத்திட்டம் மின்சாரம் போன்ற ஒரு மூலோபாய துறையில் இறக்குமதியை சார்ந்திருப்பதைக் குறைத்து, ஆத்மனிர்பர் பாரத் முயற்சியை ஆதரிக்கும்.
• சூரிய PV தொகுதி உற்பத்தியாளர்கள் ஒரு வெளிப்படையான போட்டி ஏல செயல்முறை மூலம் தேர்வு செய்யப்படுவார்கள்.அதிக திறன் கொண்ட சூரிய PV தொகுதிகள் விற்பனையில், சூரிய PV உற்பத்தி ஆலைகளை ஆணையிட்ட 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பி.எல்.ஐ வழங்கப்படும். பி.எல்.ஐயின் அளவு தொகுதி செயல்திறன் மற்றும் உள்ளூர் மதிப்பு கூட்டல் அதிகரிப்பிற்கேற்ப அதிகரிக்கும்.

5. Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana has completed six years.

• Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana was launched on 8 April 2015.
• It is a scheme under which loans of up to 10 Lakh rupees are provided to the non-corporate, non-farm, small, and micro-enterprises.
• Finance Ministry has said that under this scheme almost 24percent of loans have been given to New entrepreneurs, about 68 percent of loans have been given to women entrepreneurs and about 51percent of loans have been given to SC, ST and OBC borrowers.
• Ministry of Labour and Employment has said that this yojana has helped in generation of 1crore 12 lakh net additional employment from 2015 to 2018. Women have accounted for 62 percent of this estimated increase in employment.

5. பிரதான் மந்திரி முத்ரா திட்டம் ஆறு ஆண்டுகளை நிறைவு செய்துள்ளது

• பிரதான் மந்திரி முத்ரா திட்டம் 8 ஏப்ரல் 2015இல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
• இது கார்ப்பரேட் அல்லாத, பண்ணை அல்லாத, சிறு மற்றும் குறு நிறுவனங்களுக்கு 10 லட்சம் ரூபாய் வரை கடன்கள் வழங்கும் திட்டமாகும்.
• இந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ் புதிய தொழில் முனைவோருக்கு கிட்டத்தட்ட 24 சதவீத கடன்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன, சுமார் 68 சதவீத கடன்கள் பெண் தொழில்முனைவோருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன, பட்டியலினத்தோர், பழங்குடியினர் மற்றும் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்டோருக்கு சுமார் 51 சதவீத கடன்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன என்று நிதி அமைச்சகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
• இந்த திட்டம் 2015 முதல் 2018 வரை 1 கோடி 12 லட்சம் நிகர கூடுதல் வேலைவாய்ப்புகளை உருவாக்க உதவியது என்று தொழிலாளர் மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்பு அமைச்சகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. இந்த மதிப்பிடப்பட்ட வேலைவாய்ப்பில் பெண்கள் 62 சதவீதமாக உள்ளனர்.

6. Scientists developed ‘robo-plants’ to interact with plants

• Scientists from Singapore developed ‘robo-plants’, an experiment they call a fusion of nature and technology. They attached electrodes to a Venus flytrap plant which is a carnivorous plant.
• The electrodes are film-like and soft and fit tightly to the plant’s surface. They are attached using a ‘thermogel’, which is liquid at low temperatures but turns into a gel at room temperature. These electrodes are capable of monitoring weak electrical pulses naturally emitted by plants.

• சிங்கப்பூரைச் சேர்ந்த விஞ்ஞானிகள் ‘ரோபோ–தாவரங்களை‘ உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர், இது இயற்கையையும் தொழில்நுட்பத்தையும் இணைக்கும் ஒரு பரிசோதனையாகும்.அவர்கள் பூச்சி உண்ணும் தாவரமான வில் பொறி தாவரத்தில் (Venus flytrap plant) மின்முனைகளை இணைத்தனர்.

• The International Monetary Fund has reported that India’s debt to GDP ratio increased from 74% to 90% during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• In the case of India, the debt ratio at the end of 2019, prior to the pandemic, was 74% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and at the end of 2020, it is almost 90% of GDP.

8. Mangal Pandey’s death anniversary – 8 April

• Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has paid his tributes to Mangal Pandey on his death anniversary on 8 April.
• On 29 March 1857, Mangal Pandey, a sepoy in 34^th Bengal Native Infantry then stationed at Barrackpore, assaulted his European officer. His fellow soldiers refused to arrest him when ordered to do so. Mangal Pandey, along with others were court-martialled and hanged. This was one of the causes for the Great Revolt of 1857.

8. மங்கல் பாண்டேவின் நினைவு ஆண்டுவிழா

• மத்திய தகவல் மற்றும் ஒளிபரப்புத்துறை அமைச்சர் பிரகாஷ் ஜவடேகர், மங்கல் பாண்டேவின் நினைவு ஆண்டு விழாவிற்கு 8 ஏப்ரலில் அஞ்சலி செலுத்தியுள்ளார்.
• 29 மார்ச் 1857இல், பாரக்பூரில் நிலைகொண்டிருந்த 34வது வங்காள பூர்வீக காலாட்படையில் சிப்பாயாக இருந்த மங்கல் பாண்டே, அவரது ஐரோப்பிய அதிகாரியைத் தாக்கினார். அவரது சக வீரர்களிடம் அவரை கைது செய்ய உத்தரவிட்டபோது அவர்கள் மறுத்துவிட்டனர். மங்கல் பாண்டே மற்றவர்களுடன் நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜர்படுத்தப்பட்டு தூக்கிலிடப்பட்டனர். 1857ஆம் ஆண்டின் பெருங்கிளர்ச்சிக்கு இதுவும் ஒரு காரணம் ஆகும்.
