1. Four sailors from India qualified for Sailing in Tokyo Olympics

• Vishnu Saravanan in the Laser Standard class and the pair of Ganapathy Chengappa and Varun Thakkar qualified in 49er class of sailing made it through the Asian Qualifiers in Oman.
• Nethra Kumanan became the first Indian woman sailor to qualify in the laser radial event in the Mussanah Open Championship, which is an Asian Olympic qualifying event. Netra also became the first Indian sailor to qualify directly for the Olympic Games.
• It is also the first time that India will compete in three sailing events in the Olympics.

Olympics history

• The Indian pair of Farokh Tarapore and Dhruv Bhandari competed in the 470 class in the 1984 Olympics. Tarapore and Kelly Rao took part in the same event in the 1988
• Tarapore and Cyrus Cama took part in the same event in the 1992 Barcelona Games.
• Malav Shroff and Sumeet Patel competed in 49er class skiff in the 2004 Athens Olympics.

• ஆசிய ஒலிம்பிக் தகுதிப் போட்டியான முசானா ஓபன் சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பில் தகுதி பெற்ற நேத்ரா குமனன், லேசர் ரேடியல் போட்டியில் தகுதி பெற்ற முதல் இந்திய பெண் மாலுமியானார். இந்திய பாய்மர படகுப் போட்டி வீரர்களில் ஒலிம்பிக் போட்டிக்கு நேரடியாக தகுதி பெற்ற முதல் நபர் என்ற பெருமையையும் நேத்ரா படைத்துள்ளார்.
• ஒலிம்பிக்கில் மூன்று பாய்மர போட்டிகளில் இந்தியா போட்டியிடுவது இதுவே முதல் முறையாகும்.

• இந்திய ஜோடியான ஃபரோக் தாராபூர் மற்றும் துருவ் பண்டாரி ஆகியோர் 1984 ஒலிம்பிக்கில் 470 பிரிவில் போட்டியிட்டனர். தாராபூர் மற்றும் கெல்லி ராவ் ஆகியோர் 1988 போட்டிகளில் அதே பிரிவில் பங்கேற்றனர்.

2. Armyman Bharat Pannu has made two Guinness World Records for fastest solo cycling

• Lieutenant Colonel Pannu made the first record by cycling from Leh to Manali, on 10 October 2020, in 35 hours, 32 minutes, and 22 seconds.
• His second record saw him cycle the ‘Golden Quadrilateral’ route, which connects Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, in 14 days, 23 hours, and 52 minutes.

2. இராணுவ வீரர் பாரத் பன்னு அதிவேக தனி சைக்கிள் ஓட்டுதலுக்காக இரண்டு கின்னஸ் உலக சாதனைகளை படைத்துள்ளார்

• துணைநிலை ஆளுனர் பாரத் பன்னு 10 அக்டோபர் 2020 அன்று 35 மணிநேரம், 32 நிமிடங்கள், 22 வினாடிகளில் லே முதல் மணாலிக்கு சைக்கிள் ஓட்டியதன் மூலம் முதல் சாதனையைப் படைத்தார்.
• டெல்லி, மும்பை, சென்னை மற்றும் கொல்கத்தாவை இணைக்கும் ‘தங்க நாற்கர சாலை‘ பாதையை 14 நாட்கள், 23 மணிநேரம் 52 நிமிடங்களில் கடந்ததன் மூலம் அவரது இரண்டாவது சாதனையைப் படைத்தார்.

3. Shaurya Diwas – 9 April

• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Valour Day (Shaurya Diwas) is observed on 9 April every year.
• This day marks a tribute to the brave men of the Force. This year marks the 56^th Central Reserve Police Force Valour Day.

• மத்திய ரிசர்வ் போலீஸ் படை (CRPF) வீர தினம் (சௌரிய திவாஸ்) ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 9 ஏப்ரல் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• இந்த நாள் படையின் துணிச்சலான வீரர்களுக்கு அஞ்சலி செலுத்துகிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு 56வது மத்திய ரிசர்வ் போலீஸ் படை வீர தினத்தை குறிக்கிறது.

4. CJI SA Bobde launched Supreme Court’s first AI-driven Research Portal ‘SUPACE’

• Chief Justice of India SA Bobde has unveiled the first-of-its-kind Artificial Intelligence (AI) based portal of the Supreme Court of India named “SUPACE” (Supreme Court Portal for Assistance in Court’s Efficiency).
• The SUPACE (Supreme Court Portal for Assistance in Court’s Efficiency) portal is a tool that will collect relevant facts and laws and makes them available to a Judge.

4. உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் முதல் செயற்கை–நுண்ணறிவு ஆராய்ச்சி வளைத்தளம் ‘சுபேஸ்‘-ஐ (SUPACE) தலைமை நீதிபதி எஸ்.ஏ.பாப்டே தொடங்கி வைத்தார்

• உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் முதல் வகையான செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு (ஏஐ) அடிப்படையிலான “சூபேஸ்” (SUPACE) வளைத்தளத்தை உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் தலைமை நீதிபதி எஸ்.ஏ. பாப்டே வெளியிட்டார்.
• சுபேஸ் (நீதிமன்றத்தின் செயல்திறன் உதவிக்கான உச்ச நீதிமன்ற வளைத்தளம்) வளைத்தளம் என்பது தொடர்புடைய உண்மைகள் மற்றும் சட்டங்களை சேகரித்து நீதிபதிக்கு கிடைக்கச் செய்யும் ஒரு கருவியாகும்.
