1. 127thbirth anniversary of V.V. Giri celebrated

  • The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, paid homage to V.V. Giri, former President of India, on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
  • Varahagiri Venkata Giri, India’s fourth President was born in Berhampur in the Madras Presidency (present-day Odisha) on 10 August 1894.
  • V. Giri served as the third Vice President of India (1967–1969). He was the first vice president who did not complete his tenure. He quit in the middle of his vice-presidential term as he was elected the fourth president of the country.
  • In 1975, the Government of India conferred the ‘Bharat Ratna’, the country’s highest civilian honour, to V. V. Giri for his contributions in the field of public affairs.

 

1. வி.வி. கிரியின் 127வது பிறந்த நாள் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது

  • குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த், முன்னால் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் வி. வி. கிரி பிறந்த நாளை முன்னிட்டு குடியரசுத் தலைவர் மாளிகையில் அவருக்கு அஞ்சலி செலுத்தினார்.
  • இந்தியாவின் நான்காவது குடியரசுத் தலைவரான வரஹகிரி வெங்கட கிரி, 10 ஆகஸ்ட் 1894இல் சென்னை மாகாணத்தில் (இன்றைய ஒடிசா) பெர்ஹாம்பூரில் பிறந்தார்.
  • வி.வி. கிரி இந்தியாவின் மூன்றாவது துணைத் குடியரசுத் தலைவராக (1967-1969) பணியாற்றினார். அவர் தனது பதவிக்காலத்தை நிறைவு செய்யாத முதல் துணை குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ஆவார். அவர் நாட்டின் நான்காவது ஜனாதிபதியாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டதால் தனது துணை குடியரசுத் தலைவர் பதவிக்காலத்தின் நடுவில் விலகினார்.
  • 1975ஆம் ஆண்டு, பொது விவகாரங்களில் வி. வி. கிரி ஆற்றிய பங்களிப்புக்காக, நாட்டின் மிக உயர்ந்த கௌரவமான ‘பாரத ரத்னா’ விருதை இந்திய அரசு வழங்கியது.

2. Government of India Award for Crescent Institute of Education

  • Vandalur S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Educational Institute has been awarded the Best Green Campus Award under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Education Programme.
  • This Institution was selected as the best green campus in Chengalpattu district and was awarded a cash prize and award by District Collector A. R. Rahul Nath.

 

2. கிரசென்ட் கல்வி நிறுவனத்திற்கு மத்திய அரசின் விருது

  • வண்டலூா் பி. எஸ். அப்துர் ரகுமான் கிரசென்ட் உயா்கல்வி நிறுவனத்திற்கு மகாத்மா காந்தி தேசிய கிராமப்புற கல்வித் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் சிறந்த பசுமை வளாக விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்நிறுவனம் செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டத்தில் சிறந்த பசுமை வளாகமாகத் தோ்வு செய்யப்பட்டு மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர் ஏ.ஆா்.ராகுல் நாத்தால் ரொக்கப் பரிசும் விருதும் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

APPOINTMENTS

3. R. Velraj is appointed as the vice-chancellor of Anna University

  • R. Velraj has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Anna University by Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
  • Surappa of Karnataka ended his term of office last April who was the vice -chancellor of Anna University, an internationally renowned institute of technology.
  • Velraj will be the vice-cச்hancellor of Anna University for the next three years.

 

3. அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழக துணைவேந்தராக ஆர். வேல்ராஜ் நியமனம்

  • அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் புதியதுணைவேந்தராக டாக்டர் ஆர். வேல்ராஜை ஆளுநர் பன்வாரிலால் புரோஹித் நியமித்துள்ளார். 
  • சர்வதேச அளவில் புகழ்பெற்ற தொழில்நுட்ப கல்வி நிறுவனமான அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தராக இருந்த கர்நாடகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சூரப்பாவின் பதவிக்காலம் கடந்த ஏப்ரல் மாதம் நிறைவடைந்தது.
  • அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தராக ஆர். வேல்ராஜ் அடுத்த 3 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பதவி வகிப்பார் எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

NATIONAL

4. OBC reservation bill passed in Lok Sabha

  • The Lok Sabha passed the 127th Constitution Amendment Bill, 2021.
  • The bill was passed with more than two -third of the majority of the House strength as well as the members present in the House. During the division of votes, 385 members of the House voted in favour of the bill and none against it.
  • The legislation seeks to empower States and Union Territories to make their own Other Backward Communities (OBCs) lists.

 

4. ஓபிசி இடஒதுக்கீடு மசோதா மக்களவையில் நிறைவேற்றம்

  • மக்களவை, 127வது அரசியலமைப்பு திருத்தம் மசோதா, 2021ஐ நிறைவேற்றியது.
  • மக்களவையின் பெரும்பான்மையில் மூன்றில் இரண்டு பங்கிற்கும் அதிகமானவர்கள் மற்றும் சபையில் உள்ள உறுப்பினர்களுடன் இந்த மசோதா நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது. வாக்குப் பிரிவினையின் போது, 385 அவை உறுப்பினர்கள் மசோதாவுக்கு ஆதரவாக வாக்களித்தனர், யாரும் மசோதாவுக்கு எதிராக வாக்களிக்கவில்லை.

5. Narendra Modi to be the first Indian Prime Minister to chair United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meet

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a high-level open debate on ‘Enhancing Maritime Security A Case for International Cooperation’ via video conferencing.
  • This would be the first time that an Indian Prime Minister would be presiding over a meeting of the UN Security Council.
  • This will also be the first time that ‘maritime security’ will be discussed holistically as an exclusive agenda item in such a high-level open debate.

  • ‘கடல்சார் பாதுகாப்பை மேம்படுத்துவது சர்வதேச ஒத்துழைப்புக்கான ஒரு வழக்கு‘ குறித்த உயர்மட்ட வெளிப்படையான விவாதத்திற்கு பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி காணொளி காட்சி மூலம் தலைமை தாங்குகிறார்.
  • ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சில் (UNSC) கூட்டத்திற்கு இந்தியப் பிரதமர் ஒருவர் தலைமை தாங்குவது இதுவே முதல் முறையாகும்.

6. Gujarat Chief Minister launches e-Nagar mobile application and portal

  • Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has launched the e-Nagar mobile application and portal.
  • The e-Nagar covers 10 modules with 52 services including property tax, professional tax, water and drainage, complaints and grievance redressal, building permission, fire and emergency services.
  • Gujarat Urban Development Mission has been appointed as a nodal agency for the e-Nagar project.

7. India to host the first Internet Governance Forum in the country

  • The first ever Internet Governance Forum in the country will be hosted by India starting from 20 October 2021.
  • The theme for this year’s meeting is ‘Inclusive Internet for Digital India’.
  • It is an Internet Governance policy discussion platform to bring representatives together from various groups, considering all at par to discuss public policy issues related to the Internet.

 

7. நாட்டின் இணையதள ஆளுகை மன்றத்தை முதல்முறையாக இந்தியா நடத்துகிறது

  • நாட்டின் முதல் இணையதள ஆளுகை மன்றம் 20 அக்டோபர் 2021 முதல் இந்தியாவால் நடத்தப்படுகிறது.
  • இந்த ஆண்டு இக்கூடத்தின் ‘கருப்பொருள் மின்னணு இந்தியாவிற்கான உள்ளடக்கிய இணையதளம்’ ஆகும்.
  • இணையம் தொடர்பான பொதுக் கொள்கை பிரச்சினைகளை விவாதிக்க அனைவரையும் சமமாக கருத்தில் கொண்டு, பல்வேறு குழுக்களில் இருந்து பிரதிநிதிகள் ஒன்றாக கொண்டு வரப்பட்ட ஒரு இணைய ஆளுகை கொள்கை விவாத தளமாக இது செயல்படும்.

8. Nagaland wins 7 National Awards Under ‘Van Dhan Yojana Scheme’

  • Nagaland has been conferred with seven national awards on the first Van Dhan Annual Awards 2020-21, during the celebration of the 34th foundation day of the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED).
  • The awards were presented by Union tribal minister Arjun Munda.
  • Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) came into existence in 1987.

 

8. ‘வன் தன் யோஜனா‘ திட்டத்தின் கீழ் நாகாலாந்து 7 தேசிய விருதுகளை வென்றுள்ளது

  • இந்திய பழங்குடி கூட்டுறவு சந்தைப்படுத்தல் கூட்டமைப்பின் (TRIFED) 34வது நிறுவன தினத்தின் போது, 2020-2021ஆம் ஆண்டின் முதல் வன் தன் வருடாந்திர விருதுகளில் நாகாலாந்துக்கு ஏழு தேசிய விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
  • இந்த விருதுகளை மத்திய பழங்குடியினருக்கான அமைச்சர் அர்ஜுன் முண்டா வழங்கினார்.
  • இந்திய பழங்குடி கூட்டுறவு சந்தைப்படுத்தல் கூட்டமைப்பு (TRIFED) 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைமுறைக்கு வந்தது.

9. Sudha Murty’s ‘How the Earth Got Its Beauty’ was published

  • Popular children’s author Sudha Murty’s new book titled ‘How the Earth Got Its Beauty’ was published.
  • Sudha Murty was the recipient of the R.K. Narayan Award for Literature and the Padma Shri in 2006, and the Attimabbe Award from the government of Karnataka for excellence in Kannada literature in 2011.

 

9. சுதா மூர்த்தியின் ‘ஹவ் தி எர்த் காட் இட்ஸ் பியூட்டி‘ (‘How the Earth Got Its Beauty’) வெளியிடப்பட்டது

  • பிரபல குழந்தைகள் எழுத்தாளர் சுதா மூர்த்தியின் புதிய புத்தகம் ‘ஹவ் தி எர்த் காட் இட்ஸ் பியூட்டி‘ (‘How the Earth Got Its Beauty’) என்ற தலைப்பில் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
  • சுதா மூர்த்தி இலக்கியத்திற்கான ஆர்.கே.நாராயண் விருது மற்றும் 2006ஆம் ஆண்டில் பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது மற்றும் 2011ஆம் ஆண்டில் கன்னட இலக்கியத்தில் சிறந்து விளங்கியதற்காக கர்நாடக அரசிடமிருந்து அட்டிமாபே விருதைப் பெற்றார்.

10. Athletics Federation of India (AFI) to Celebrate javelin competition every year on 7 August to honour Neeraj Chopra

  • The day Neeraj Choprascripted history by winning the Olympic gold medal at Tokyo Olympics, 7 August will be celebrated as National Javelin Day by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
  • Neeraj Chopra became the second Indian to win an individual Olympic gold in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

  • டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக்கில் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்று நீரஜ் சோப்ரா வரலாறு படைத்த நாள் 7 ஆகஸ்ட். இதை இந்திய தடகள கூட்டமைப்பு (AFI) தேசிய ஈட்டி எறிதல் தினமாகக் கொண்டாடும் என அறிவித்துள்ளது.
  • நீரஜ் சோப்ரா டோக்கியோ ஓல்ம்பிக்ஸில் 2020ஆம் ஆண்டில் தனிப்பட்ட ஒலிம்பிக் தங்கத்தை வென்ற இரண்டாவது இந்தியர் ஆவார்.

11. Athletics Federation of India (AFI)

  • The Athletics Federation of India(AFI) is the apex body for Athletics responsible for conducting competitions in the country.
  • It was formed in 1943. 
  • It was earlier called as Amateur Athletic Federation of India(AAFI).
  • D. Sondhiwas its first President.
  • Adille Sumariwalla is the current President of Athletics Federation of India (AFI).

  • இந்திய தடகள கூட்டமைப்பு (AFI) இந்தியாவின் தடகள தலைமை அமைப்பாகும். நாட்டில் போட்டிகளை நடத்துவது இதன் பொறுப்பாகும்.
  • இது 1943இல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது
  • இது முன்னதாக இந்திய அமெச்சூர் தடகள கூட்டமைப்பு (AAFI) என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டது.
  • ஜி. டி. சோந்தி இதன் முதல் தலைவர் அவர்.

DAY IN HISTORY

12. On 11 August 1347, Bhamini Dynasty was founded

  • Zafar Khan who declared independence in 1345 at Devagiri shifted his capital to Gulbarga in northern Karnataka.
  • He took the title Bahman Shah and founded the Bahmani dynasty on 11 August 1347.
  • Bahman Shah emerged victorious in all these expeditions and assumed the title Second Alexander in his coins.

 

12. 11 ஆகஸ்ட் 1347 அன்று பாமினி வம்சம் நிறுவப்பட்டது

  • 1345 தேவகிரியில் சுதந்திரம் அறிவித்த ஜாஃபர் கான் தனது தலைநகரை வடக்கு கர்நாடகாவில் உள்ள குல்பர்காவுக்கு மாற்றினார்.
  • அவர் பாமன் ஷா என்ற பட்டத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு 11 ஆகஸ்ட் 1347 அன்று பாமினி வம்சத்தை நிறுவினார்.
  • எல்லா பயணங்களிலும் பாமன் ஷா வெற்றி பெற்று, தனது நாணயங்களில் இரண்டாவது அலெக்சாண்டர் என்ற பட்டத்தை ஏற்றார்.
