1. Uthiramerur

• The 3000 year old megalithic funeral sculptors, ‘Kalthittai’ and ‘kal vattam’, have been identified in Edamachi village near Uthiramerur in Kancheepuram district.
• The stone sculptors were found during the inspection of Chinnamalai in Edamachi by the Centre for Historical Studies at Uthiramerur.
• ‘kal thittai’ is known as a type of memorial sculpture for the dead in the Megalithic culture.

1. உத்திரமேரூர்

• 3000 ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான பெருங்கற்காலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஈமச்சின்னங்களான கல்திட்டை மற்றும் கல் வட்டங்கள் காஞ்சிபுரம் மாவட்டம், உத்திரமேரூர் அருகில் உள்ள எடமச்சி கிராமத்தில் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• உத்திரமேரூர் வரலாற்று ஆய்வு மையத்தினர் எடமச்சியில் உள்ள சின்னமலையில் ஆய்வுசெய்த போது இக்கல்திட்டைகளை கண்டறிந்தனர்.
• பெருங்கற்கால பண்பாட்டில் இறந்தவர்களுக்கான நினைவுச் சின்னங்களின் ஒரு வகையாக கல்திட்டை அறியப்படுகிறது.

2. Lakshmi Rajaratnam

• Writer and spiritual lecturer Lakshmi Rajaratnam (78) had passed away in Chennai.
• she had written many novels like ‘Idhayakoil’ and ‘Agalgai Kaattiyar’ and more than 1,000 short stories and series.
• In January 2002, the Hindu Maha Sabha in Colombo honored her with the title of ‘Sersuvai Nayaki’.
• In January 2019, she was conferred with the Best Writer award by the Sangapalagai magazine.

2. லட்சுமி ராஜரத்தினம்

• எழுத்தாளரும், ஆன்மிகச் சொற்பொழிவாளருமான லட்சுமி ராஜரத்தினம்(78) சென்னையில் காலமானார்.
• இவர் ‘இதயக் கோயில்’, ‘அகலிகை காத்திருந்தாள்’ போன்ற பல நாவல்களையும், ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட சிறுகதைகளையும், தொடர்களையும் இயற்றியுள்ளார்.
• ஜனவரி 2002ல் கொழும்புவில் உள்ள இந்து மகா சபை இவருக்கு சொற்சுவை நாயகி என்ற விருதைக் கொடுத்து கௌரவப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
• ஜனவரி 2019-ல் சிறந்த எழுத்தாளருக்கான விருதை, சங்கப்பலகை என்னும் பத்திரிக்கை இவருக்கு கொடுத்து கௌரவித்தது.

3. Ports Authority Bill

• The bill which is tended to give additional power to 12 major ports in India was approved in the LokSabha in September last year.
• Now the Ports Authority Bill has been approved in the Rajya Sabha and sent to the President for approval.
• This bill is expected to improve the management of 12 ports including Kandla, Chennai, Marmagova, Paradip, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thoothukudi.
• Chennai Port, Kamarajar Port are also included in this list.

3. துறைமுகங்கள் அதிகார மசோதா

• கடந்த ஆண்டு செப்டம்பரில் இந்தியாவிலுள்ள 12 முக்கிய துறைமுகங்களுக்கு கூடுதல் அதிகாரத்தைக் கொடுக்கும் நோக்கத்தை உடைய ஒரு மசோதாவிற்கு மக்களவையில் ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கப்பட்டது.
• தற்போது அந்த துறைமுகங்கள் அதிகார மசோதாவிற்கு மாநிலங்களவையில் ஒப்புதல் வழங்கப்பட்டு குடியரசு தலைவரிடம் ஒப்பதல் வழங்க அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இதன் மூலம் காண்ட்லா, சென்னை, மர்மகோவா, பாராதீப், கொல்கத்த்தா, மும்பை, தூத்துக்குடி உள்ளிட்ட 12 துறைமுகங்களின் நிர்வாகம் மேம்படுத்தபடும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
• சென்னை துறைமுகம், காமராஜர் துறைமுகம் இந்த பட்டியலில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.

4. Kiran Bedi

• Puducherry Chief Minister has lodged a complaint with the President against Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi for violating the provisions of the Constitution.
• Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy has filed a petition for the removal of Kiran Bedi as Lieutenant Governor of Pudhucherry.

4. கிரண் பேடி

• அரசமைப்பின் சட்ட விதிகளை மீறும் வகையில் சர்வாதிகாரியாக செயல்படுவதாக புதுச்சேரி துணை ஆளுநர் கிரண் பேடி மீது குடியரசுத் தலைவரிடம் புதுச்சேரியின் முதல்வர் புகார் அளித்துள்ளார்.
• குடியரசு தலைவரை நேரில் சந்தித்து, துணை நிலை ஆளுநரை திரும்பப் பெற கோரி முதல்வர் வி. நாராயணசாமி மனு அளித்துள்ளார்.

5. International Film Festival

• The 18th Chennai International Film Festival will be held from February 18 to February 25 in Chennai.
• 91 films from 53 countries will participate in the function.
• The Indian Panorama section has 4 Tamil films and 13 films in The Tamil Film Division.

5. சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழா

• 18-வது சென்னை சர்வதேச திரைபட விழா வரும் பிப்ரவரி 18 முதல் பிப்ரவரி 25 வரை சென்னையில் நடைபெற உள்ளது.
• இந்த விழாவில் 53 நாடுகளில் இருந்து 91 திரைப்படங்கள் பங்குபெற உள்ளன.
• இந்தியன் பனோரமா பிரிவில் 4 தமிழ்ப்படங்களும், தமிழ்ப்படங்களுக்கான போட்ட்டியில் 13 படங்கள் என மொத்த தமிழ்ப்பட பிரிவில் 17 படங்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.

6.Presidential Address

• The opposition walked out, saying that Prime Minister’s responses were not satisfactory, as the he responded to the debates on the resolution on the presidential speech.
• After that, the Vote of Thanks to the Presidential Address was passed in the Lok Sabha.

6. குடியரசுத் தலைவர் – நாடாளுமன்ற உரை

• குடியரசு தலைவரின் உரைக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் மீதான தீர்மனத்தில் எழுந்த விவாதங்களுக்கு பிரதமர் பதிலளித்த நிலையில், அவரது பதிலகள் திருப்திகரமாக இல்லை எனக் கூறி எதிர்க்கட்சிகள் வெளிநடப்பு செய்தன.
• இதையடுத்து குடியரசுத் தலைவர் உரைக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் தீர்மானம் மக்களவையில் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது.

7. India – china Border Stand off

• The Chinese and Indian troops at the Southern and Northern banks of Pangong Tso has started to disengage in a synchronized and organized manner.
• The 9^th round of India – china Talks has reached consensus by both sides and resulted in the process of disengagement in the in the most protected military stand-offs between India and China.

7. இந்தியா-சீனா எல்லை நிலைப்பாடு

• பாங்காங் ட்சோவின் தெற்கு மற்றும் வடக்கு கரைகளில் உள்ள சீன மற்றும் இந்திய படைகள் ஒத்திசைக்கப்பட்ட மற்றும் ஒழுங்கமைக்கப்பட்ட முறையில் எல்லையிலிருந்து பின்வாங்கத் தொடங்கியுள்ளன.
• இந்தியா – சீனாவின் 9 வது கட்ட பேச்சுவார்த்தையில் இரு தரப்பும் ஒருமித்த கருத்தை எட்டியுதன் விளைவாக, இந்தியா- சீனாவின் மிகவும் பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட எல்லையில் உள்ள இராணுவ நிலைப்பாடுகள் பின்வாங்குகின்றன.

8. Sea water Intrusion

• According to the study conducted by the Anna University, it is found that the coastline of northern Chennai continues to be affected by seawater intrusion which is extended to nearly 18 km inland from the coast.
• This Study has been conducted in the Araniar – Kosasthalaiyar belt.

8. கடல் நீர் ஊடுருவல்

• அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகம் நடத்திய ஆய்வின்படி, வடக்கு சென்னையின் கடற்கரைப்பகுதி கடல் நீர் ஊடுருவலால் தொடர்ந்து பாதிக்கப்படுவதோடு, கடல் நீர் கடற்கரையிலிருந்து கிட்டத்தட்ட 18 கி.மீ நிலத்தடி மட்டத்தில் ஊடுருவியுள்ளது கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இந்த ஆய்வு ஆரணியாரு – கோசஸ்தலையார் ஆற்றுப்படுகையில் நடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது

9. Miyawaki Forsets

• Miyawaki Forests, which are successfully raised in kotturpuram, will be developed in all fifteen of chennai.
• Greater chennai corporation commissioner inaugurated the Miyawaki forest developed near the secretariat and told that the civic body will implement this plan.

9. மியாவாகி காடுகள்

• கோட்டூர்புரத்தில் வெற்றிகரமாக வளர்க்கப்படும் மியாவாகி காடுகள் சென்னையின் மற்ற பதினைந்து இடங்களிலும் உருவாக்கப்படும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• பொது செயலகத்திற்கு அருகில் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட மியாவாகி வனத்தை சென்னை மாநகராட்சி ஆணையர் திறந்து வைத்து, இந்த திட்டத்தை குடிமை அமைப்பு செயல்படுத்தும் என தெரிவித்தார்.
• மியாவாகி காடுகள் – ஜப்பானிய காடு வளர்ப்பு முறை.

10. Kerala Film Festival

• The 25^th edition of International Film festival of Kerala was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi VIjayan through Video Conference.
• Legendary French filmmaker Jean Luc Godard received the Lifetime Achievement Award this year.

10. கேரள திரைப்பட விழா

• கேரளாவின் சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாவின் 25 வது பதிப்பை காணொலிக் காட்சியின் மூலம் முதல்வர் பினராயி விஜயன் திறந்து வைத்தார்.
• புகழ்பெற்ற பிரெஞ்சு திரைப்படத் தயாரிப்பாளர் ஜீன் லூக் கோடார்ட்-க்கு இந்த ஆண்டின் வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளர் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
