1. Army Raises two dogs to detect COVID-19:

• Casper and Jaya are the two dogs that have been deployed in Chandigarh and Delhi to screen samples and to detect COVID-19 among the soldiers posted for the areas of the Northern Command.
• Casper, a two years old male ‘Cocker Spaniel’, and Jaya a year old ‘Chippiparai’ are the two Specialist military dogs.
• Col. Surender Saini instructor of the Army’s Remount Veterinary Corps, Meerut said that the dogs can detect with 95% accuracy.
• Samples that are identified as positive by the dogs are then confirmed through the RT-PCR test.

1. இராணுவம், கோவிட்-19 கண்டுபிடிக்க இரண்டு நாய்களை ஈடுபடுத்துகிறது:

• நாய்களால் நேர்மறையாக வகைப்படுத்தப்படும் மாதிரிகள் பின்னர் RT-PCR சோதனை மூலம் உறுதி செய்யப்படுகின்றன.

2. Seroprevalence Data:

• The state-level Seroprevalence data reveals that Tamilnadu accounts for 31.6% of the population that has been affected by the virus.
• Chennai accounts for 40.9% which is higher than that of Tamilnadu’s affected P

3. Single Piece 3D Print Rocket Engine:

• A Chennai based startup company named ‘Agnikul Cosmos’ has successfully fired its higher stage semi cryogenic rocket engine -“The Agnilet”.
• Srinath Ravichandran CEO of the Agnikul Cosmos said that it is completely 3D printed and a single component that has been ground tested at IIT-Madras, and the entire engine is single piece of hardware from start to finish and has zero assembled parts.
• And also Agnikul is building India’s first private small satellite launch vehicle called “Agnibaan” that is capable of carrying up to 100 kg of payload.

• சென்னையை சேர்ந்த ‘அக்னிகுல் காஸ்மோஸ்’ என்ற தொடக்க நிறுவனம் தனது உயர்நிலை அரை கிரையோஜெனிக் ராக்கெட் இயந்திரம் “அக்னிலேட்”ஐ வெற்றிகரமாக ஏவியது.
• அக்னிகுல் காஸ்மோஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் தலைமை நிர்வாக அதிகாரி ஸ்ரீநாத் ரவிச்சந்திரன் கூறுகையில், இது முற்றிலும் 3D அச்சு மற்றும் ஐ.ஐ.டி-மெட்ராஸில் சோதனை செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு கூறு, மற்றும் முழு இயந்திரமும் தொடக்கத்தில் இருந்து இறுதி வரை ஒரே வன்பொருளால் ஆனது மற்றும் பூஜ்ஜிய உதிறிபாகங்களால் ஆனது என்றார்.

4. Kirupananda Variyar’s Birthday as State Event:

• Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami announced that the Birth Anniversary of the Kirupananda Variyar’s will be celebrated as a State event.
• He was born on August 25, 1906, in Kangeyanallur in Vellore. He made this announcement at the campaign speech at the Vellore constituency.

4. மாநில நிகழ்வாக கிருபானந்தா வாரியாரின் பிறந்த நாள்:

• கிருபானந்தா வாரியாரின் பிறந்த நாள் மாநில நிகழ்வாக கொண்டாடப்படும் என்று முதலமைச்சர் எடப்பாடி கே.பழனிசாமி அறிவித்தார்.
• அவர் ஆகஸ்ட் 25, 1906, அன்று வேலூரில் உள்ள கங்கேயநல்லூரில் பிறந்தார், வேலூர் தொகுதியில் நடந்த பிரசாரக் கூட்டத்தில் அவர் இந்த அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்டார்.

5. Bengaluru Scientists Developed a New Marigold variety:

• A new variety of Marigold has been developed by the Hessarghatta based Indian Institute of Horticulture Research(IIHR).
• Generally, all Marigolds have a carotene content of up to 1.4% but the ‘Arka Shubha’ variety of Marigolds has 2.8% of carotene which is the highest content from a plant source.
• By this development even though the plants get damaged due to rain or due to some other factors, it can be used in the extraction of carotene, which is mainly used in the field of the Pharmaceutical Sector.

5. பெங்களூரு விஞ்ஞானிகள் ஒரு புதிய சாமந்தி வகையை உருவாக்கினர்:

• ஹெசர்கட்டாவை தளமாகக் கொண்ட இந்திய தோட்டக்கலை ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனம் (IIHR) மூலம் புதிய வகை சாமந்திப் வகை உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

6. 7 New Sub-Stations in Tamil Nadu:

• Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami inaugurated 7 newly installed sub-stations in the districts of Nagapattinam, Chengalpattu, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Villupuram, Thanjavur and Karur through Video Conferencing.

6. தமிழகத்தில் 7 புதிய துணை மின் நிலையங்கள்:

• முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி கே. பழனிசாமி தமிழகத்தின் நாகப்பட்டினம், செங்கல்பட்டு, திருவண்ணாமலை, தர்மபுரி, விழுப்புரம், தஞ்சாவூர், கரூர் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் புதிதாக அமைக்கப்பட்ட 7 துணை மின் நிலையங்களை காணொலிக் கட்சி மூலம் திறந்து வைத்தார்.

7. Bonded Labour System Abolition Day:

• The Government of Tamil Nadu had recently declared 9^th February as the Bonded Labour System Abolition Day through its Government Order.
• For the first time in India, it is celebrated in Tamil Nadu.
• Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Department has released a short film on abolition of bonded labour in the event.

7. கொத்தடிமை தொழிலாளர் ஒழிப்பு தினம்:

• பிப்ரவரி 9-ம் நாளை கொத்தடிமை தொழிலாளர் ஒழிப்பு தினமாக அறிவித்து தமிழக அரசு அண்மையில் அரசாணை வெளியிட்டிருந்தது.
• இது இந்தியாவில் முதல் முறையாக தமிழகத்தில் கொண்டாடப்படுவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• இவ்விழாவில் தமிழக தொழிலாளர் நலத்துறை சார்பில் கொத்தடிமை தொழிலாளர் ஒழிப்பு குறித்த குறும்படம் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.

8. Government Winds up 2 Public Sector Pharmaceutical Companies:

• The Central Government has decided to close Indian Drugs & Pharmaceutical Ltd (IDPL) and Rajasthan Drugs & Pharmaceutical Ltd (RDPL).
• It has also decided to strategically disinvest the other three PSUs namely, Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd (HAL), Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceutical Ltd (BCPL), Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceutical Ltd (KAPL).

9. Coronavirus Unlikely to spread from Wuhan Labs- Expert Team:

• A team of experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) reported Coronavirus unlikely to have spread from the Wuhan Microbiology Laboratory after studies conducted in Wuhan, China.

9. வூஹான் ஆய்வகத்திலிருந்து கரோனா பரவவில்லை- நிபுணர் குழு:

• கரோனா தோற்றம் குறித்து சீனாவில் ஆய்வு மேற்கொண்ட உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பின் நிபுணர் குழு வூஹான் தீநுண்ணியல் ஆய்வகத்திலிருந்து பரவியிருக்க வாய்ப்பில்லை என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

10. World T20 series for Road Safety Awareness:

• The World T-20 Series to be conducted by Learning Platform ‘Unacademy’ in Raipur from March 2 to 21 to create awareness on Road Safety.
• Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara and Muttiah Muralitharan are to be participated in the series.

10. சாலை விழிப்புணர்விற்காக உலக சீரிஸ் டி20 போட்டிகள்:

• சாலை விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த ‘அன்அகாடெமி’ சார்பில் உலக சீரிஸ் டி-20 போட்டிகள் ராய்ப்பூரில் மார்ச் 2 முதல் 21-ம் தேதி வரை நடைபெறவுள்ளது.
• இதில் சச்சின் டெண்டுல்கர், வீரேந்திர சேவாக், பிரையன் லாரா, முத்தையா முரளிதரன் ஆகியோர்கள் பங்கேற்கின்றனர்.

11. Poet Venil Krishnamoorthy Passed Away:

• Poet Venil Krishnamoorthy from Coimbatore, passed away due to the illness of his health.
• It is noted that he published the collection of poems ‘Kaiyoppam’ written by the poet Puviarasu has won the Sahitya Akademi Award.

11. கவிஞர் வேனில் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி காலமானார்:

• கோவையை சேர்ந்த கவிஞர் வேனில் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி உடல் நலக்குறைவால் காலமானார்.
• இவர் வெளியிட்ட கவிஞர் புவியரசுவின் ‘கையொப்பம்’ என்ற கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு சாகித்ய அகாதெமி விருது பெற்றுள்ளது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

12. ‘Kudimaramatthu’ works to be published on the website:

• The Madurai bench of the Chennai High Court has ordered the TN Government to publish the details of the ‘Kudimaramatthu’ work details on the website.
