Confidence motion moved by the Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy stood defeated in the Legislative assembly

• Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy submitted his resignation to Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan as that the confidence motion moved by the Chief Minister stood defeated in the Legislative assembly.
• Article 239 A(1) of the Indian Constitution which states that a Parliament through law can enact a body that can function as a Legislature for the Union Territory of Puducherry.
• Clause (2) of the Article 239 states that the President can appoint the Governor of a State as the Administrator of an adjoining Union Territory and after such an appointment, the Governor may exercise his power and execute his functions independently of his Council of Ministers.
• The Ministers shall hold office during the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor and the Council of Ministers shall be collectively responsible to the Legislative Assembly.
• The Union territory is likely to have president’s rule as the assembly elections are just two months away.

புதுச்சேரி சட்டசபையில் முதல்வர் கொண்டு வந்த நம்பிக்கைத் தீர்மானம் தோல்வி அடைந்தது

• புதுச்சேரி சட்டசபையில் முதல்வர் கொண்டு வந்த நம்பிக்கைத் தீர்மானம் தோல்வி அடைந்ததால், புதுச்சேரி முதல்வர் வி.நாராயணசாமி தனது ராஜினாமா கடிதத்தை துணைநிலை ஆளுநர் தமிழிசை சவுந்தரராஜன் முன் சமர்ப்பித்தார்.
• புதுச்சேரி யூனியன் பிரதேசத்தில் செயல்படக் கூடிய ஒரு சட்டமன்றத்தை, நாடாளுமன்ற சட்டத்தால் இயற்றலாம் என்று இந்திய அரசியலமைப்புச் சட்டத்தின்பிரிவு 239 A(1) கூறுகிறது.
• பிரிவு 239 ஆம் உறுப்பின் (2)ல், ஒரு மாநிலத்தின் ஆளுநரை அருகில் உள்ள யூனியன் பிரதேசத்தின் நிர்வாகியாக குடியரசுத்தலைவர் நியமிக்கலாம் என்றும், அத்தகைய நியமனத்திற்குப் பிறகு ஆளுநர் தனது அதிகாரத்தைப் பிரயோகித்து, அவரது அமைச்சரவையின் மீது சுதந்திரமாகச் செயல்படலாம் என்றும் கூறுகிறது.
• துணைநிலை ஆளுநரின் கீழ் அமைச்சர்கள் பதவி வகிப்பர்.அமைச்சரவையானது சட்டமன்றப் பேரவைக்கு கூட்டாகப் பொறுப்பாகும்.
• புதுச்சேரி சட்டசபை தேர்தலுக்கு இன்னும் 2 மாதங்களே உள்ள நிலையில், யூனியன் பிரதேசத்தில் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ஆட்சி அமல்படுத்தப்பட வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Pakistan’s performance will be reviewed – Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

• Pakistan’s performance in terms of measures taken against money laundering and terror funding will be reviewed once again in the three day virtual plenary session of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
• The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is the global money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog. Pakistan has been in the FATF’s ‘greylist’ since June 2018

பாகிஸ்தானின் செயல்திறன் மீண்டும் மதிப்பாய்வு செய்யப்படும் – எஃப்ஏடிஎஃப்

• தீவிரவாதத்திற்கு எதிரான சர்வதேச அமைப்பான எஃப்ஏடிஎஃப் (FATF), பணமோசடி மற்றும் பயங்கரவாத நிதிக்கு எதிராக எடுக்கப்பட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளின் அடிப்படையில் பாகிஸ்தானின் செயல்திறன்
  மூன்று நாள் மெய்நிகர் அமர்வில் மீண்டும் மதிப்பாய்வு செய்யப்படும் என அறிவித்துள்ளது.
• தீவிரவாதத்திற்கு எதிரான சர்வதேச அமைப்பான எஃப்ஏடிஎஃப் (FATF) என்பது உலகளாவிய பணமோசடி மற்றும் பயங்கரவாத நிதியுதவி கண்காணிப்புக் குழுவாகும். பாகிஸ்தான் ஜூன் 2018 முதல் எஃப்ஏடிஎஃப்-இன் ‘கிரேலிஸ்ட்டில்’ உள்ளது.

IIT Council – National Education Policy recommendations

• To Analyse greater autonomy for the elite institutions, in line with the National Education Policy recommendations, as well as reform of the academic Senate, grooming faculty to head the IITs, and innovative funding mechanisms, committees has been set up by IIT Council.
• Education Minister heads the IIT Council and it includes the directors of all IITs, and the chairs of each IIT’s Board of Governors.

• தேசிய கல்விக் கொள்கை பரிந்துரைகளுக்கு ஏற்ப, உயர்கல்வித் துறை, ஐ.ஐ.டி.களுக்கு தலைமை ஏற்பதற்கான ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் நிதி முறைகளை செயல்படுத்துவதற்கான குழுக்கள், ஐ.ஐ.டி. கவுன்சிலால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• கல்வி அமைச்சர் ஐ.ஐ.டி கவுன்சில் தலைவராக ஆவார். மேலும் கவுன்சிலின் உறுப்பினர்களாக அனைத்து ஐ.ஐ.டி.களின் இயக்குனர்களும், ஒவ்வொரு ஐ.ஐ.டி.யின் ஆளுநர் குழுவின் தலைவர்களும் அடங்குவர்.

Landslip warning system – Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)

• Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has been asked to develop an alert system to warn on landslips by the parliamentary standing committee on science and technology.
• This move was taken after brief discussion on the Chamoli flooding and to identify such disasters in future.

• அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம் தொடர்பான நாடாளுமன்ற நிலைக்குழு, இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்தை (இஸ்ரோ) நிலச்சரிவுகள் குறித்து எச்சரிக்க ஒரு எச்சரிக்கை முறையை உருவாக்குமாறு கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• சமோலி வெள்ளம் குறித்த விரிவான கலந்துரையாடலின் பின்னர், எதிர்காலத்தில் இதுபோன்ற பேரழிவுகளை அடையாளம் காண இந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Amending Uttarakhand Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act – co-ownership rights to women in husband’s ancestral property

• Uttarakhand Government has passed an ordinance to give land ownership rights to daughters and wives of male landowners by amending the Uttarakhand Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act.
• Uttarakhand becomes the first state to give co-ownership rights to women in husband’s ancestral property
• The ordinance aims to provide economic independence to women who are left behind and are dependent on agriculture to sustain themselves.

• உத்தராகண்ட் ஜமீன்தாரி ஒழிப்பு மற்றும் நில சீர்திருத்த சட்டத்தில் திருத்தம் செய்வதன் மூலம் ஆண் நில உரிமையாளர்களின் மகள்கள் மற்றும் மனைவிகளுக்கு நில உரிமையை வழங்க உத்தராகண்ட் அரசு உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்துள்ளது.
• கணவரின் மூதாதையர் சொத்தில் பெண்களுக்கும் இணை உரிமைகளை வழங்கிய முதல் மாநிலமாக உத்தராகண்ட் திகழ்கிறது
• விவசாயத்தை நம்பியுள்ள பெண்களுக்கு பொருளாதார சுதந்திரத்தை வழங்குவதே இந்த அவசர சட்டத்தின் நோக்கமாகும்.

Smart Anganwadis – Kerala

• Kerala Government has sanctioned ₹9 crore to convert the conventional anganwadis into “smart” structures with better amenities. Under the Smart Anganwadi scheme, the Department of Women and Child Development has granted 48 anganwadis in the state to construct new buildings.
• The smart anganwadis are being designed and constructed as part of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). The main aim is to make the facility more child-friendly to nurture the mental and physical development of

• வழக்கமான அங்கன்வாடிகளை சிறந்த வசதிகளுடன் கூடிய “ஸ்மார்ட்” கட்டமைப்புகளாக மாற்ற கேரள அரசு ₹ 9 கோடி நிதியை ஒதுக்கியுள்ளது. ஸ்மார்ட் அங்கன்வாடி திட்டத்தின் கீழ், மாநிலத்தில் 48 அங்கன்வாடிகளுக்கு புதிய கட்டிடங்கள் அமைக்க மகளிர் மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் மேம்பாட்டுத் துறை அனுமதி அளித்துள்ளது.

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will be unveiling the full potraits of three leaders V.O. Chidambaram, Dr. P. Subbarayan and former Chief Minister O.P. Ramasamy Reddiyar in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Hall.
• The number has now gone up to 15 with the potraits of 12 leaders already present in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

தமிழக முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி க. பழனிசாமி –  மூன்று தலைவர்களின் முழு உருவப் படங்கள் திறந்து வைக்கிறார்

• தமிழக முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி க. பழனிசாமி அவர்களால் தமிழக சட்டப் பேரவை மண்டபத்தில் வ.உ. சிதம்பரனார், டாக்டர் பி. சுப்புராயன், முன்னாள் முதல்வர் ஓ.பி. ராமசாமி ரெட்டியார் ஆகிய மூன்று தலைவர்களின் முழு உருவப் படங்கள் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட உள்ளன.
• தமிழக சட்டப் பேரவையில் ஏற்கனவே 12 தலைவர்களின் படம் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், தற்போது அந்த எண்ணிக்கை 15 ஆக உயர்ந்துள்ளது.

Tamil Nadu CM inaugurates conversion of sea water into drinking water project

• The conversion of sea water into drinking water project in the budget of Rs. 1503 crore was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in Villupuram district.
• With this, Tamil Nadu has received the distinction of being the first to launch a project to supply drinking water from seawater to the villagers.
• There is also a plan to set up a new university in the name of former chief minister Jayalalitha.

Indian Maritime Summit

• The Indian Maritime Summit is scheduled to be held online from March 2 to March 4 on behalf of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Shipping.

BRICS Conference – India is set to host 2021 summit

• India, which has assumed the leadership of the BRICS Federation of 2021, is set to host this year’s summit.
• Members: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa.
• China has also expressed support for India’s forthcoming summit at the BRICS Secretariat in Sushma Swaraj Bhavan, Delhi.
