1. West Central Railway became the first fully electrified Indian Railways zone

• West Central Railway became the first fully electrified railway zone in the country.
• The zonal railway now boasts a 3012 km Route electrified network. Electrification of this railway section will provide various benefits such as saving fuel, reduction in travel time, as well as environmental protection.

1. மேற்கு மத்திய ரயில்வே முதல் முழு மின்மயமாக்கப்பட்ட இந்திய இரயில்வே மண்டலம் ஆனது

• மேற்கு மத்திய ரயில்வே, நாட்டின் முதல் முழுமையாக மின்சாரமயமாக்கப்பட்ட ரயில்வே மண்டலம் ஆனது.
• இந்த மண்டல இருப்புப்பாதை தற்போது 3012 கி.மீ. வழித்தடம் மின்மயமாக்கப்பட்ட வலையமைப்பைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இந்த ரயில்வே பிரிவின் மின்மயமாக்கல் எரிபொருள் சேமிப்பு, பயண நேரத்தை குறைத்தல், அத்துடன் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு போன்ற பல்வேறு நன்மைகளை வழங்கும்.

3. Jal Jeevan Mission deploys sensor-based IoT devices to monitor rural drinking water supply systems

• The Ministry of Jal Shakti has decided to use sensor-based IoT devices to effectively monitor the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in more than six lakh villages. National Jal Jeevan Mission, in collaboration with Tata Community Initiatives Trust (TCIT) and Tata Trusts, recently completed pilot projects in several remote villages of five States-Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh.
• The Internet of Things (IoT) based remote monitoring provides near real-time information without any manual intervention by using sensors. This would not only allow effective monitoring and management on-ground, but also enable real-time visibility to State water supply/ PHED officials and citizens.

Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)

• Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) is a Union Government’s flagship programme, which is implemented in partnership with States/UTs to provide tap water connection to every rural household by 2024.

• ஆறு லட்சத்திற்கும் மேலான கிராமங்களில் கிராமப்புற குடிநீர் விநியோக முறைகளை கண்காணிக்கும் முயற்சியில், ஜல் ஜீவன் மிஷன்(JJM) சென்சார் அடிப்படையிலான பொருட்களின் இணைய (ஐஓடி) சாதனங்களைப் பயன்படுத்த முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. தேசிய ஜல் ஜீவன் மிஷன், டாடா கம்யூனிட்டி இனிஷியேட்டிவ் டிரஸ்ட் (TCIT) மற்றும் டாடா டிரஸ்ட்ஸ்டுடன் இணைந்து உத்தரகாண்ட், ராஜஸ்தான், குஜராத், மகாராஷ்டிரா மற்றும் இமாச்சல பிரதேசம் ஆகிய ஐந்து மாநிலங்களின் பல தொலைதூர கிராமங்களில் முன்னோடி திட்டங்களை சமீபத்தில் நிறைவு செய்தது.

ஜல் ஜீவன் மிஷன் (JJM)

• ஜல் ஜீவன் மிஷன் (JJM), மாநில அரசுகள் / யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களுடன் இணைந்து 2024ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குள் ஒவ்வொரு கிராமப்புற குடும்பங்களுக்கும் குழாய் நீர் இணைப்பை வழங்குவதற்காக செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

3. NITI Aayog launched AIM-PRIME to support science-based startups

• Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog has launched AIM-PRIME (programme for Researchers on Innovations, Market-Readiness and Entrepreneurship).
• It is a programme to promote and support science-based deep-tech startups and ventures across India. It acts as a major push towards deep technology and driving the country to become a digitally transformed nation.
• This nationwide programme is launched by partnership between AIM and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and it will be implemented by Venture Centre, a non-profit technology business incubator hosted by CSIR-NCL.

3. நிதி ஆயோக் அறிவியல் அடிப்படையிலான தொடக்க நிறுவனங்களை ஆதரிக்க AIM-PRIMEஐ அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது

• அடல் புதுமை மிஷன் (AIM), நிதி ஆயோக் AIM-PRIME (கண்டுபிடிப்புகள், சந்தை-தயார்நிலை மற்றும் தொழில்முனைவோர் பற்றிய ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்களுக்கான திட்டம்) திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

4. India’s first solar mission uses new technique for tracking eruptions from the Sun

• Scientists have developed a new technique to track Coronal Mass Ejections. The new technique will be used in India’s first solar mission Aditya-L1.
• Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), cause various disturbances of the space environment, forecasting their arrival time is very important. However, forecasting accuracy is hindered by limited CME observations in interplanetary space.
• Scientists have developed a new technique to track the huge bubbles of gas, threaded with magnetic field lines, which are ejected from the sun, disrupting space weather and causing geomagnetic storms, satellite failures, and power outages.

4. சூரியனில் இருந்து வெளிவரும் சூரிய வெடிப்பைக் கண்காணிக்க புதிய தொழில்நுட்பத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தும் இந்தியாவின் முதல் சூரிய விண்கலம்

• கொரோனல் மாஸ் எஜெக்சன் எனப்படும் சூரிய வெடிப்பைக் கண்டறிய விஞ்ஞானிகள் ஒரு புதிய தொழில்நுட்பத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர். இந்த புதிய தொழில்நுட்பம் இந்தியாவின் முதல் சூரிய விண்கலமான ஆதித்யா–எல் 1இல் பயன்படுத்தப்படும்.
• கொரோனல் மாஸ் எஜெக்சன்ஸ் (சி.எம்.இ), விண்வெளி சூழலில் பல்வேறு இடையூறுகளை ஏற்படுத்துகின்றன, எனவே அவற்றின் வருகை நேரத்தை முன்னறிவிப்பது மிகவும் முக்கியமானது. சி.எம்.இக்கள் குறைந்த கொரோனாவில் முடுக்கிவிடுவதால் வெடிப்புகளைக் கண்காணிக்கும் திறனை இது கடுமையாக மட்டுப்படுத்தியது.
• விஞ்ஞானிகள், சூரியனிலிருந்து வெளியேறும் காந்தப்புலக் கோடுகளைக் கொண்டு, வாயுவின் பெரும் குமிழிகளைக் கண்காணிக்க ஒரு புதிய தொழில்நுட்பத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர். அவை விண்வெளி வானிலையை பாதிக்கின்றன, புவிகாந்தபுயல்கள், செயற்கைக்கோள் செயலிழப்புகள் மற்றும் மின் தடை ஆகியவற்றை ஏற்படுத்துகின்றன.

5. Maharashtra got one more biodiversity heritage site

• Schistura Hiranyakeshi in the Sindhdurg district of Maharashtra has been declared a ‘Biodiversity Heritage’ site.
• The notification was issued under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.
• The heritage site, which has a temple to goddess Parvati is the point from where the river Hiranyakeshi originates.
• Schistura Hiranyakeshi, a species of fish endemic to Amboli, was recently recorded for the first time in the western ghats in the local temple pond.

5. மகாராஷ்டிராவுக்கு மேலும் ஒரு பல்லுயிர் பாரம்பரிய தளம்

• மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலம் சிந்துதுர்கா மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள சிஸ்டுரா ஹிரண்யகேசி (Schistura Hiranyakeshi) பாரம்பரிய தளமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
• உயிரியல் பன்முகத்தன்மை சட்டம், 2002இன் கீழ் இந்த அறிவிப்பு வெளியிடப்பட்டது .
• பார்வதி தேவிக்கான கோயில் அமைந்துள்ள இந்த பாரம்பரியக் களமானது ஹிரண்யகேசி நதி தோன்றும் இடம் ஆகும்.
• அம்போலிக்கு சொந்தமான மீன் வகையான சிஸ்டுரா ஹிரண்யகேசி என்ற மீன், மேற்குத்தொடர்ச்சி மலையில் ஓர் உள்ளூர் கோயில் குளத்தில் முதன் முதலாகப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.

6. Hop shoots, the world’s most expensive vegetable, was grown for the first time by a farmer in Bihar

• Hop Shoots, the World’s costliest vegetable was grown by Amresh Singh, an enterprising farmer from Bihar, the first one in India.

• The hop called Humulus lupulusis a perennial plant. A native of North America and Europe, hop shoots were believed to be a weed until its properties were known. Hop shoots have antibacterial effects and are used for bittering, flavouring and as stability agent in beer.
• Hop shoots are back-breaking to harvest and hence the high cost. The weed-like tendrils grow haphazardly, and they are so tiny, so you need to pick hundreds to fill a carrier bag.
• There are even festivals to celebrate the hop shoot like the London Hop Shoot Festival. 

6. உலகின் மிக விலையுயர்ந்த காய்கறியான ஹாப் தளிர்கள் பீகாரில் ஒரு விவசாயியால் வளர்க்கப்படுகின்றன

• இந்தியாவில் முதல் முறையாக பீகாரில் ஒரு ஆர்வமுள்ள விவசாயி அம்ரேஷ் சிங் அவர்களால் உலகின் விலையுயர்ந்த காய்கறியானஹாப் தளிர்கள் வளர்க்கப்படுகின்றன.

ஹாப் தளிர்கள்

• ஹுமுலஸ் லுபுலஸ் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஹாப் தளிர்கள் ஒரு வற்றாத தாவரமாகும். வட அமெரிக்கா மற்றும் ஐரோப்பாவை பூர்வீகமாகக் கொண்ட ஹாப் தளிர்கள் அதன் பண்புகள் அறியப்படாத வரை ஒரு களை என்று நம்பப்பட்டது.  ஹாப் தளிர்கள் பாக்டீரியா எதிர்ப்பு விளைவுகளை கொண்டிருக்கின்றன, மேலும் அவை கசப்பான, சுவையூட்டும் மற்றும் பீரில் நிலைத்தன்மை இருப்பதற்காக பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.
• ஹாப் தளிர்களின் அறுவடை மிகவும் கடினமானதாகும். களை போன்ற டெண்டிரில்ஸ் அபரிவிதமாக வளர்கின்றன. அவை மிகச் சிறியவை, எனவே ஒரு பையை நிரப்ப நூற்றுக்கணக்கானவை வேண்டும்.

7. Indian Army to participate in Multinational Military Exercise ‘Shantir Ogroshena -2021’ in Bangladesh

• Indian Army will participate in Multinational Military Exercise, SHANTIR OGROSHENA –2021 in Bangladesh. The nine days exercise will start on 4 April to commemorate the birth centenary of Bangladesh Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and mark glorious 50 years of liberation.
• Theme of 2021: Robust Peace Keeping Operations
• Indian Army along with contingents of Bhutan, Sri Lankan and Bangladesh Armies.
• Military observers from the USA, UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Singapore will also be in attendance throughout the exercise.

7. பங்களாதேஷில் நடைபெறும் பன்னாட்டு இராணுவப் பயிற்சியான சாந்திர் ஓக்ரோஷேனா-2021இல் இந்திய ராணுவம் பங்கேற்கிறது

• இந்திய ராணுவம் பங்களாதேஷில் நடைபெறும் சாந்திர் ஓக்ரோஷேனா-2021 என்ற பன்னாட்டு இராணுவப் பயிற்சியில் பங்கேற்கிறது. பங்களாதேஷின் தந்தை பங்கபந்து ஷேக் முஜிபுர் ரஹ்மானின் பிறந்த நூற்றாண்டு விழா மற்றும் 50 ஆண்டுகால விடுதலையை குறிக்கும் வகையில் ஒன்பது நாள் பயிற்சி 4 ஏப்ரலில் தொடங்கும்.
• 2021 கருப்பொருள்: வலுவான அமைதி காக்கும் செயல்பாடுகள்
• இந்திய ராணுவக் குழு, பூட்டான், இலங்கை மற்றும் பங்களாதேஷ் படையினருடன் இந்தப் பயிற்சியில் பங்கேற்கவுள்ளது.
• அமெரிக்கா, இங்கிலாந்து, துருக்கி, சவுதி அரேபியா, குவைத் மற்றும் சிங்கப்பூர் ஆகிய நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த இராணுவ பார்வையாளர்களும் இந்தப் பயிற்சி முழுவதும் கலந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

8. Mallika Srinivasan became the first private sector specialist to be appointed as Chief of PESB

• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mallika Srinivasan as the Chairperson of Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) for a period of three years or until the attainment of the age of 65 years.
• Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) Limited, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the PESB.
• This is for the first time that a private sector specialist has been appointed as the head of the PESB, responsible for appointment of top management posts in the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).

8. பி.இ.எஸ்.பி.யின் (PESB) தலைவராக முதல்முறையாக தனியார் துறை நிபுணரான மல்லிகா சீனிவாசன் நியமிக்கப்பட உள்ளார்

• மூன்று வருட காலம் அல்லது 65 வயதை எட்டும் வரை PESBஇன் தலைவராக மல்லிகா சீனிவாசனை நியமிக்க அமைச்சரவையின் நியமனக் குழு ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
• டிராக்டர்கள் மற்றும் பண்ணை உபகரணங்கள் (TAFE) நிறுவனத்தின் தலைவரும் நிர்வாக இயக்குநருமான மல்லிகா சீனிவாசன் பொது நிறுவனத் தேர்வு வாரியத்தின் (PESB) தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
• மத்திய பொதுத்துறை நிறுவனங்களில் (CPSE) உயர் நிர்வாக பதவிகளை நியமிக்கும் பொறுப்பில் தனியார் துறை நிபுணர் PESBஇன் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்படுவது இதுவே முதல் முறை.

9. International Children’s Book Day – 02 April

• International Children’s Book Day (ICBD) is a yearly event sponsored by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), an international non-profit organization.
• The day was started in 1967, the day is observed on the famous writer Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday, April 2.
• 2021 Theme: “The Music of Words”

9. சர்வதேச சிறுவர் புத்தக தினம் – 02 ஏப்ரல்

• சர்வதேச சிறுவர் புத்தக தினம் (ICBD) என்பது சர்வதேச இலாப-நோக்கற்ற அமைப்பான இளைஞர்களுக்கான புத்தகங்களுக்கான சர்வதேச சபையினால் (IBBY) நடத்தப்படும் வருடாந்த நிகழ்வாகும்.
• 1967ஆம் ஆண்டில் நிறுவப்பட்ட இந்த நாள், புகழ்பெற்ற எழுத்தாளரான ஹான்ஸ் கிறிஸ்டியன் ஆன்டர்சனின் பிறந்த நாளான 2 ஏப்ரல் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• 2021 கருப்பொருள்: “வார்த்தைகளின் இசை“.

10. World Autism Awareness Day – 02 April

• World Autism Awareness Day is observed every year on 2 April with the aim to spread awareness about autism and make people understand the challenges faced by those with developmental disorder.
• The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) unanimously declared 2 April as World Autism Awareness Day from 2008 after the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities came into force.
• 2021 Theme: “Inclusion in the Workplace: Challenges and Opportunities in a Post-Pandemic World”

10. உலக ஆட்டிசம் விழிப்புணர்வு தினம் – 02 ஏப்ரல்

• உலக ஆட்டிசம் விழிப்புணர்வு தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஏப்ரல் 2ஆம் தேதி அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஆட்டிசம் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கும், வளர்ச்சி குறைபாடு உள்ளவர்களின் சவால்களை மக்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ளும் வகையிலும் இந்த தினம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச் சபை (UNGA) 2008ஆம் ஆண்டு மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளின் உரிமைகள் மாநாடு செயல்பாட்டிற்கு வந்ததைத் தொடர்ந்து, உலக ஆட்டிசம் விழிப்புணர்வு தினமாக அறிவித்தது.
