1. Frothing of sea water

• Reason: Increase in phosphate content in sea water.
• Normally: 1-3 micromole/litre of water.
• Frothing: 15 -25 micromole/litre of water.
• Solution: Proper and complete treatment of sewage water from the city before releasing it into the sea.

2. Mudumalai Tiger Reserve

• It is located at the tri-junction of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamilnadu.
• It is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere reserve (The first biosphere reserve in India).

Vultures:

• They are scavengers and are critical in conservation of environment.
• Three CE vultures are found here.

Critically endangered

1. Gyps bengalensis –Oriental white-backed vulture
2. Gyps indicus – Slender-billed vulture
3. Gyps tenuirostris -Long-billed vulture

Reason for the decrease in population: Food unavailability

• NSAID– Non-Steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs – drugs found in cattle carcasses are harmful for wildlife.
• They poison vultures since they feed on their carcasses and are main reason for their population decrease.

• People can contact this telephone number to report their complaints.

• COVID-19 personal hygiene practices were launched in Chennai in the Braille format for the visually impaired.
• The Braille Format, which was published on behalf of the Madras MedIndia Charitable Trust, has been developed in Tamil and English as a first step.
• Braille alphabet was a writing system invented by Louis Braille, a French man.
• He was born on January 4, 1809. To commemorate his birthday Braille Format has been awakening during the Corona period.

• Tenure: 2021-22

• Incoming members this year – India, Ireland, Mexico, Kenya, Norway.

• இது UNSC இல் நிரந்தரமற்ற உறுப்பினராக இந்தியா வகிக்கும் 8 வது பதவிக்காலம்  ஆகும் .

 

• பதவி காலம்: 2021-22

• ஐ.நா.வில் இந்தியாவின் நிரந்தரப் பிரதிநிதி:  டி.எஸ்.திருமூர்த்தி

• இந்த ஆண்டு உள்வரும் உறுப்பினர்கள் – இந்தியா, அயர்லாந்து, மெக்ஸிக்கோ, கென்யா, நார்வே.

• Iran announced 20% enrichment of Uranium.
• US pulled off unilaterally from Tehran’s nuclear deal in 2018.
• Weapon grade Uranium – 90% enrichment.
• Nuclear reactors – 3-4% enrichment.
• Natural Uranium U238 is non-fissile.
• U235 is a fissile material.

23. யுரேனியம் செறிவூட்டல் 

 

• யுரேனியம் 20% செறிவூட்டப்படுவதாக ஈரான் அறிவித்தது.

 

• 2018 இல் டெஹ்ரானின் அணுசக்தி ஒப்பந்தத்திலிருந்து அமெரிக்கா ஒருதலைப்பட்சமாக விலகிக் கொண்டுவிட்டது.

• ஆயுதத் தர யுரேனியம் – 90% செறிவூட்டல்.

• அணு உலைகள் – 3-4% செறிவூட்டல்.

• இயற்கை யுரேனியம் U238 வெடிமருந்து அல்லாத பொருளாக உள்ளது.

• U235 ஒரு வெடிமருந்து பொருள்.

• Head office: Delhi –headed by Principal Chief Income tax officer.

• Aim: to remove tax payer and official’s discretion for harassment.
