1. Union Ministry of Culture to grant Scholarship to Young Artists in different cultural fields

• The Union Ministry of Culture implemented the scheme component of ‘Scholarships to Young Artists in Different Cultural Fields (SYA)’ to grant scholarship to Young Artists in different cultural fields, including traditional art forms for undergoing advanced training in their respective fields.
• Under this scheme component, a scholarship of Rs. 5,000 per month is provided to selected Scholars for a period of two years in four equal six monthly installments.
• The selected scholars should be in the age group of 18 years to 25 years and have been undergoing training under any Guru or institution for a minimum of 5 years.

1. பல்வேறு கலாச்சார துறைகளில் உள்ள இளம் கலைஞர்களுக்கு உதவித்தொகை கலாச்சார அமைச்சகம் வழங்குகிறது.

• கலாச்சார அமைச்சகம், கலாச்சார துறைகளில் பாரம்பரிய கலை வடிவங்கள் உட்பட பல்வேறு துறைகளில் மேம்பட்ட பயிற்சி பெற்ற இளம் கலைஞர்களுக்கான உதவித்தொகை வழங்கும் ‘கலாச்சார துறைகளில் இளம் கலைஞர்கள் உதவித்தொகையை’ செயல்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
• இந்த திட்டக் கூறுகளின் கீழ் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட கலைஞர்களுக்கு மாதத்திற்கு    ரூ. 5,000 ஆறு மாத தவணைகளில் இரண்டு வருட காலத்திற்கு வழங்கப்படும்.
• தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட அறிஞர்கள் 18 வயது முதல் 25 வயதுக்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாகவும், குறைந்தபட்சம் 5 ஆண்டுகள் வரை ஒரு குரு அல்லது நிறுவனத்தின் கீழ் பயிற்சியும் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.

2. MoU signed for Paradeep Plastic Park between IOCL and IDCO

• Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) signed an MoU to develop Paradeep Plastic Park on a hybrid mode.
• Government of India has initiated the cluster development of the industry through its Plastic Park scheme. Currently, six such parks have been approved by the Government of India, with Paradip Plastic Park being one of them.

2. பாரதீப் பிளாஸ்டிக் பூங்கா அமைப்பதற்கான புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம், ஐ.ஓ.சி.எல்(IOCL) மற்றும் ஐ.டி.கோ(IDCO) இடையே கையெழுத்தானது.

• இந்தியன் ஆயில் கார்ப்பரேஷன் லிமிடெட் (ஐஓசிஎல்) மற்றும் ஒடிசா தொழில்துறை உள்கட்டமைப்பு மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம் (ஐடிகோ) ஆகியவை இணைந்து பாரதீப் பிளாஸ்டிக் பூங்காவை கலவை முறையில் உருவாக்கும் புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்தம் கையெழுத்தானது.

3. First ever Virtual Summit of Quad Leaders held on 12 March 2021

• The Union Ministry of External Affairs announced the first-ever summit of the leaders of the Quadrilateral security dialogue(Quad) that will take place virtually on 12 March.
• Quad is the informal strategic dialogue between India, the USA, Japan, and Australia with a shared objective to ensure and support a free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the discussion along with Prime Minister of Japan Yoshihide Suga, President of the United States Joe Biden, and Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison.

3. 12 மார்ச் அன்று குவாட் தலைவர்களின் முதல் மெய்நிகர் உச்சிமாநாடு நடைபெற உள்ளது

• நாற்கர பாதுகாப்பு உரையாடலின் (குவாட்) தலைவர்கள் கலந்து கொள்ளும் முதல் உச்சிமாநாடு 12 மார்ச் அன்று நடைபெற உள்ளதாக வெளியுறவுத் துறை அமைச்சகம் அறிவித்துள்ளது.
• குவாட் என்பது இந்தியா, அமெரிக்கா, ஜப்பான் மற்றும் ஆஸ்திரேலியா இடையேயான ஒரு முறைசாரா திட்டமிடல் உரையாடலாகும், இது ஒரு திறந்த மற்றும் வளமான இந்தோ-பசிபிக் பிராந்தியத்தை ஆதரிக்கும் நோக்கம் கொண்டது.
• இம்மாநாட்டில் அமெரிக்க அதிபர் ஜோ பைடன், ஜப்பானிய பிரதமர் யோஷிஹைட் சுகா, ஆஸ்திரேலிய பிரதமர் ஸ்காட் மோரிசன் ஆகியோருடன் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி கலந்துரையாட உள்ளார்.

4. National Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Awareness day observed on 10 March

• National GDM Awareness day was observed to raise awareness about the link between maternal health and diabetes nationwide and inviting pregnant women to hospitals and clinics for a free screening.
• A study on the prevalence of gestational diabetes in Tamil Nadu found that 25 out of 100 pregnant women in urban areas were affected.
• In rural areas, the number of pregnant women affected is reported to be 10 to 15.

4. தேசிய பேறுகால சர்க்கரை நோய் விழிப்புணர்வு தினம் 10 மார்ச் அன்று கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டது

• தேசிய பேறுகால சர்க்கரை நோய் விழிப்புணர்வு தினம், நாடு முழுவதும் கர்ப்பிணிகளின் ஆரோக்கியத்திற்கும் நீரிழிவு நோய்க்கும் உள்ள தொடர்பு குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும், மேலும் அவர்களை மருத்துவமணைகளுக்கு இலவச பரிசோதனைக்கு அழைப்பதையும் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• தேசிய பேறுகால சர்க்கரை நோய் பாதிப்பு குறித்து தமிழகம் முழுவதும் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆய்வில், நகர்ப்புறங்களில் 100-ல் 25 கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்கள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• ஊரகப் பகுதிகளில் இந்த எண்ணிக்கை 10 முதல் 15 வரை இருப்பதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

5. CISF Raising day observed on 10 March

• The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Raising Day is observed every year on 10 March and this year marks the 52^nd anniversary of CISF.
• It was set up in 1969 under the Act of the Parliament of India and works under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
• The objective of CISF is ‘Better protection and security of industrial undertakings in both government and private sectors in the country’.
• This organisation works for seaways, airways, and some of its reserved battalions work with the State Police to protect law and orders.
• Headquarters – New Delhi.

5. மத்திய தொழில்துறை பாதுகாப்பு படை தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 10 மார்ச் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது

• மத்திய தொழில்துறை பாதுகாப்பு படையின் (சி.ஐ.எஸ்.எஃப்) நாள், ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 10 மார்ச் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. சி.ஐ.எஸ்.எஃப், இந்த ஆண்டு தனது 52வது ஆண்டை நிறைவு செய்கிறது .
• இது இந்திய நாடாளுமன்றத்தின் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் 1969இல் அமைக்கப்பட்டு, மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் செயல்படுகிறது.
• இதன் நோக்கம் ‘நாட்டின் தொழில்துறை நிறுவனங்களின் அரசு மற்றும் தனியார் துறைகளுக்கு சிறந்த பாதுகாப்பை உறுதி செய்வது ஆகும்’.
• இந்த அமைப்பு கடல்வழிகள், வான்வழிகள் மற்றும் அதன் சில படைப் பிரிவுகள் சட்ட ஒழுங்குகளைப் பாதுகாக்க மாநில காவல்துறையினருடன் இணைந்து செயல்படுகின்றன.

6. No Smoking Day observed every year on the Second Wednesday of March

• No smoking Day was observed on 10 March 2021 as it falls on the second Wednesday of March.
• The main purpose of this day is to spread awareness about the harmful health effects of tobacco consumption through cigarette and to help smokers get rid of the habit of smoking.

6. ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் மார்ச் இரண்டாம் புதன்கிழமை புகைப்பழக்கம் ஒழித்தல் தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது

• மாதத்தின் இரண்டாவது புதன்கிழமையான 10 மார்ச் 2021 அன்று புகைப்பழக்கம் ஒழித்தல் தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
• சிகரெட் மூலம் புகையிலை உட்கொள்வதால் ஏற்படும் தீங்கு விளைவிக்கும் உடல்நல பாதிப்புகள் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதும், புகைபிடிப்பவர்களுக்கு புகைபிடிக்கும் பழக்கத்திலிருந்து விடுபட உதவுவதும் இந்த நாளின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.

7. Economic Freedom Index 2021 published by the US Think tank, The Heritage Foundation

• Singapore topped the global ranking for the second year in a row in the 2021 Economic Freedom Index, followed by New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland and Ireland in the top five positions.
• India has obtained 56.5, which is ranked at 121 out of 184 countries and 26 out of 40 Asia-Pacific countries.

7. 2021 பொருளாதார சுதந்திர குறியீடு, அமெரிக்க சிந்தனைக் குழுவான, தி ஹெரிடேஜ் ஃபவுண்டேஷன் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது

• 2021 பொருளாதார சுதந்திரக் குறியீட்டில் தொடர்ச்சியாக இரண்டாவது முறையாக உலக தரவரிசையில் சிங்கப்பூர் முதலிடத்திலும், நியூசிலாந்து, ஆஸ்திரேலியா, சுவிட்சர்லாந்து மற்றும் அயர்லாந்து ஆகிய நாடுகள் அடுத்தடுத்து முதல் ஐந்து இடங்களிலும் உள்ளன.
• இந்தியா 56.5 மதிப்பெண்களைப் பெற்று, 184 நாடுகளில் 121வது இடத்தையும், 40 ஆசிய-பசிபிக் நாடுகளில் 26வது இடத்தையும் பெற்றுள்ளது.

8. NASA-ISRO developed radar for joint earth observation satellite mission called NISAR

• ISRO has completed the development of a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) capable of producing extremely high-resolution images for a joint earth observation satellite mission with the US space agency NASA
• NISAR is a joint collaboration for a dual-frequency L and S-band SAR for earth observation.
• The mission is targeted to launch in early 2022 from ISRO’s Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh.

8. நாசா-இஸ்ரோ இணைந்து, நிசார் எனப்படும் பூமி கண்காணிப்பு செயற்கைக்கோள் திட்டதுக்கான ரேடாரை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது

• அமெரிக்க விண்வெளி மையமான நாசாவுடன் இணைந்து பூமி கண்காணிப்பு செயற்கைக்கோள் திட்டத்துக்காக, பூமியின் மேற்பகுதியை மிகத் துல்லியமாக படம் பிடிக்கும் திறன் உள்ள, ‘சின்தடிக் அபர்சர் ரேடார்’ சாதனத்தை இஸ்ரோ தயாரித்துள்ளது.
• நிசார் என்பது இரட்டை அலைவரிசை திறன் உள்ள, ‘எல் பேண்டு மற்றும் எஸ் பேண்டு’ ரேடார்கள் பொருத்தப்பட கூட்டு ஒத்துழைப்பு ஆகும்.
• ஆந்திராவில் உள்ள இஸ்ரோவின் ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டா விண்வெளியில் இருந்து 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில் இந்த செயற்கைக்கோள் விண்ணில் ஏவப்பட உள்ளது.

9. Punjab provides free travel Services for women across the State on all government Buses

• Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced that the Punjab government is all set to allow travel-free services for women across the State on all Government buses.
• The State Government has also announced to start eight new schemes aimed at empowering and protecting women.

9. பஞ்சாப் அரசு, மாநிலத்தின் அனைத்து அரசு பேருந்துகளிலும் பெண்களுக்கு கட்டணமில்லா பயண சேவைகளை வழங்க உள்ளது

• முதலமைச்சர் கேப்டன் அமரீந்தர் சிங், பஞ்சாப் அரசு, மாநிலத்தின் அனைத்து அரசு பேருந்துகளிலும் பெண்களுக்கு கட்டணமில்லா பயணம் வழங்க உள்ளதாக அறிவித்துள்ளார்.
• பெண்கள் மேம்பாடு மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு உறுதியை இலக்காக கொண்டு எட்டு புதிய திட்டங்களைத் தொடங்க உள்ளதாகவும் மாநில அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.

10. ICC Player of the Month for February 2021

• Ravichandran Ashwin from India won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for February 2021.
• Tammy Beaumont from England won the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for February 2021.

11. Bajrang Punia Wins Gold at Matteo Pellicone Wrestling Event

• Bajrang Punia beat Mongolia’s Tulga Tumur Ochir in the final of the 65 kg category to defend his title at the Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series in Rome, Italy.
• India returned with seven medals from the first Ranking Series event, with Vinesh Phogat and Sarita Mor winning gold and silver medals, respectively in the women’s event.
