1. Prahlad Singh Patel and Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the ‘Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Centre’ at Khajuraho

• Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge), and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh inaugurated the Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Centre at Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh.
• The Chatrapal convention center has been developed under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism and will help in establishing Khajuraho (UNESCO World Heritage site) as an iconic destination.

2. Exercise ‘Vajra Prahar’ was conducted in Himachal Pradesh

• The 11^th edition of Indo-US joint special forces exercise Vajra Prahar 2021 was conducted at Special Forces training school located at Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh.

3. CBIC extended penalty waiver on dynamic QR Code implementation till 30 June 2021

• The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) had extended a waiver of penalty on non-implementation of dynamic quick response code which is mandatory for companies over Rs 500 crore turnovers till 30 June 2021.
• QR code for B2C transactions is meant to encourage digital payments by the buyers but can potentially be used to check tax leakages as well. It would have an impact on all consumer-facing businesses including retail, restaurants, hotels, and so on.

3. மாறும் QR குறியீடு அமலாக்கம் மீதான அபராதத் தள்ளுபடியை சி.பி.ஐ.சி. (CBIC) 30 ஜூன் 2021 வரை நீட்டித்தது

• மத்திய மறைமுக வரிகள் மற்றும் சுங்க வாரியம் (CBIC), ஆண்டுவருமானம் ரூ.500 கோடியைவிட அதிகமாக உள்ள நிறுவனங்களுக்கு கட்டாயமான விரைவான பதில் குறியீட்டை (dynamic quick response code) அமல்படுத்தாததற்காக அபராதத் தள்ளுபடியை 30 ஜூன் 2021 வரை நீட்டித்துள்ளது.
• B2C பரிவர்த்தனைகளுக்கான QR குறியீடு, மின்னணு செலுத்துதல்களை ஊக்குவிக்கிறது, வரி கசிவுகளை சரிபார்க்க பயன்படுகிறது. இது நுகர்வோரை-எதிர்கொள்ளும் அனைத்து சில்லறை வணிகம், உணவகங்கள்,  தங்கும் விடுதிகள் மற்றும் பல வணிகங்களை மீது தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும். 

4. Union Education Minister inaugurated a Center for Happiness in Indian Institute of Management of Jammu

• Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal virtually inaugurated “Anandam: The Center for Happiness” at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu.
• The centre will help people overcome mental stress and help spread positivity and it will encourage and propagate holistic development for all the stakeholders at IIM Jammu.

4. ஜம்முவில் உள்ள இந்திய மேலாண்மை நிறுவனத்தில் மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் மகிழ்ச்சிக்கான மையத்தை திறந்து வைத்தார்

• ஜம்முவில் உள்ள இந்திய மேலாண்மை நிறுவனத்தில் (IIM) மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் ரமேஷ் பொக்ரியால் “ஆனந்தம்: மகிழ்ச்சிக்கான மையம்” என்ற மையத்தை தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
• இந்த மையம் மக்கள் மன அழுத்தத்தை சமாளிக்கவும், நேர்மறையான எண்ணங்கள் பரவவும், மற்றும் IIM ஜம்முவில் அனைத்து பங்குதாரர்களுக்கும்  முழுமையான வளர்ச்சியை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையிலும் பிரச்சாரம் செய்யும்.

5. New Zealand became the second country after India to legalise paid leave for miscarriages

• New Zealand’s Parliament has passed legislation giving mothers and their partners the right to paid leave following a miscarriage or stillbirth, becoming only the second country in the world.
• Employees will get three days to leave when a pregnancy ends with a stillbirth. India is the only other country in the world with similar legislation that provides leave for miscarriage and stillbirth.

5. இந்தியாவிற்கு பிறகு நியூசிலாந்து கருச்சிதைவுகளுக்கு சம்பளத்துடன் விடுமுறை அளித்த இரண்டாவது நாடானது

• நியூஸிலாந்தின் நாடாளுமன்றம், தாய்மார்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களது துணைகளுக்கு கருச்சிதைவு அல்லது குழந்தை இறந்து பிறப்பதைத் தொடர்ந்து விடுமுறை அளிக்கும் உரிமையை வழங்கும் சட்டத்தை இயற்றி, இச்சட்டத்தை இயற்றிய உலகின் இரண்டாவது நாடானது.
• குழந்தை இறந்து பிறக்கும்போது ஊழியர்கள் மூன்று நாட்கள் விடுப்பு பெறுவார்கள். உலகிலேயே இதேபோன்ற சட்டம்  கொண்ட ஒரே மற்றொரு நாடு இந்தியா மட்டுமே. 

6. World Bank revised India’s GDP growth forecast from 5.4% to 10.1% for the financial year 2021-22

• The World Bank had recently increased its projections for India’s economic growth by 7 percentage points to 10.1 per cent for Financial Year 2021-22, citing a strong rebound in private consumption and investment growth.

6. 2021-22 நிதியாண்டில் இந்தியாவின் மொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தி வளர்ச்சி கணிப்பை 5.4% லிருந்து 10.1% என உலக வங்கி திருத்தியமைத்துள்ளது.

• தனியார் நுகர்வு மற்றும் முதலீட்டு வளர்ச்சியில் வலுவான மீட்சி காரணமாக 2021-22-ம் நிதி ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவின் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சிக்கான கணிப்புகளை உலக வங்கி  7 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 10.1  சதவீதமாக சமீபத்தில் உயர்த்தியுள்ளது.

7. UNESCAP projected India’s GDP growth at 7% in FY22

• The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) expected the Indian economy to grow 7% in FY22 despite the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine and against a contraction of 7% in the preceding year.
• The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) is one of the five regional commissions under the jurisdiction of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

7. நிதியாண்டில் இந்தியாவின் மொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தி வளர்ச்சி 7%ஆக இருக்கும் என UNESCAP கணித்துள்ளது

• ஆசியா மற்றும் பசிபிக்கிற்கான ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் பொருளாதார மற்றும் சமூக ஆணையம் (UNESCAP), கோவிட்-19 தடுப்பூசியை கொண்டு வந்தபோதிலும் முந்தைய ஆண்டில் இருந்த 7% தோய்விற்கு எதிராக, இந்திய பொருளாதாரம் 22ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் 7% வளர்ச்சி அடையும் என எதிர்பார்க்கிறது,

8. Women-led startup Astrome developed low-cost internet services called “Giga Mesh”

• Astrome, a women-led startup, has developed an innovative wireless product that gives fiber-like bandwidth at a fraction of fiber cost to help telecom operators deliver reliable, low-cost Internet services to suburban and rural areas.
• The wireless product ‘Giga Mesh’ could enable telecom operators to deploy quality, high-speed rural telecom infrastructure at five times lower cost.
• The deep tech startup incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and supported by the DST-ABI Woman Startup Program of the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

9. India ranked 140 among 156 countries in the WEF Global Gender Gap index

• India (62.5 percent) has slipped 28 places to rank 140^th among 156 countries in the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2021, becoming the third-worst performer in South Asia.
• Most of the India’s neighbors, Bangladesh (65), Nepal (106), Pakistan (153), Afghanistan (156), Bhutan (130), and Sri Lanka (116) performed better than India except Afghanistan and Pakistan.
• For the 12^th time, Iceland is the most gender-equal country in the world. The top 10 most gender-equal countries include Finland, Norway, New Zealand, Rwanda, Sweden, Ireland, and Switzerland.

9. WEF உலகளாவிய பாலின இடைவெளி குறியீட்டில் 156 நாடுகளில் இந்தியா 140 வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது

• உலக பொருளாதார மன்றத்தின் உலகளாவிய பாலின இடைவெளி அறிக்கை 2021இல் 156 நாடுகளில் இந்தியா (62.5 சதவீதம்) 28 இடங்கள் குறைந்து  140வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது .
• பங்களாதேஷ்(65), நேபாளம்(106),  பாகிஸ்தான்(153), ஆப்கானிஸ்தான்(156),     பூட்டான்(130)  மற்றும்  இலங்கை(116). இந்தியாவின் அண்டை நாடுகளுள் ஆப்கானிஸ்தான் தவிர மற்ற நாடுகள் நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ளன.
• 12^வது முறையாக ஐஸ்லாந்து உலகின் மிகவும் பாலின-சமத்துவ நாடாகியுள்ளது. முதல் 10 மிகவும் பாலின-சமத்துவ நாடுகளில்  பின்லாந்து, நார்வே, நியூசிலாந்து, ருவாண்டா, ஸ்வீடன், அயர்லாந்து,  மற்றும்  சுவிட்சர்லாந்து ஆகியவை அடங்கும்.

10. International Transgender Day of Visibility – 31 March

• International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is an annual event occurring on 31 March dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society.
• The day was founded by US-based transgender activist Rachel Crandall of Michigan in 2009.

11. சர்வதேச திருநங்கைகளின் பார்வை நாள்– 31 மார்ச்

• சர்வதேச திருநங்கைகளின் பார்வை நாள் (TDOV) என்பது திருநங்கைகளை கொண்டாடும் வகையில் மார்ச் 31 அன்று நடைபெறும் ஒரு வருடாந்திர நிகழ்வாகும். இது திருநங்கைகளை கொண்டாடுவதற்கும், உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள திருநங்கைகளுக்கு ஏற்படும் பாகுபாடு குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கும், சமூகத்தில் அவர்களின் பங்களிப்புகளை கொண்டாடுவதற்கும் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட நிகழ்வாகும்.
