TAMIL NADU

1. Tamil Nadu Government announces new plans on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kaliagnar Karunanithi’s 97^th birth anniversary

• Tamil Nadu Government has announced new plans on the event of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kaliagnar Karunanithi’s 97^th birth anniversary (3 June). 
• They are:

1. A 500 bedded multi-speciality hospital for the benefit of the people who live in South Chennai will be built at the cost of Rs. 250 crores.
2. A library will be built in memory of Kalaignar at
3. Award-winning Tamil writers will be given a house in their own districts.
4. The Tamil Nadu Government also plans to build warehouses and infrastructure facilities to preserve 16 thousand tonnes of paddy at the cost of Rs. 24 lakhs at various places in the Tiruvarur district.
5. Transgenders and differently-abled people will be allowed to travel free in government buses.

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin gave 4000 along with provisions and rice to the priests who work at temples under the State Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Ministry. He also began the scheme of Rs. 5000 bonus amount for 1,12,184 police personnel who work in the forefront of battling COVID-19.

1. முன்னாள் முதல்வர் கலைஞர் கருணாநிதியின் 97வது பிறந்த நாளில் புதிய திட்டங்களை தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது

• தமிழ்நாடு முன்னாள் முதல்வர் கலைஞர் கருணாநிதியின் 97வது பிறந்த நாள் (3 ஜூன்) நிகழ்வின் போது புதிய திட்டங்களை தமிழ்நாடு அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
• அவை:

1. தென் சென்னையில் வசிக்கும் மக்களின் நலனுக்காக 500 படுக்கைகள் கொண்ட பல்சிறப்பு மருத்துவமனை ரூ. 250 கோடி செலவில் கட்டப்படும்.
2. மதுரையில் கலைஞர் நினைவாக நூலகம் கட்டப்படும்.
3. விருது பெற்ற தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கு அவர்களது சொந்த மாவட்டங்களில் ஒரு வீடு வழங்கப்படும்.
4. திருவாரூர் மாவட்டத்தில் பல்வேறு இடங்களில் ரூ.24 லட்சம் செலவில், 16 ஆயிரம் டன் நெல் மணிகளை பாதுகாக்க கிடங்குகள் மற்றும் உள்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை ஏற்படுத்தவும் அரசு திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.
5. திருநங்கைகள் மற்றும் மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகள் அரசு பேருந்துகளில் இலவசமாக பயணம் செய்ய அனுமதிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

• மாநில இந்து சமய அறநிலைய அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் உள்ள கோவில்களில் பணிபுரியும் பூசாரிகளுக்கு தமிழ்நாடு முதல்வர் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் ரூ.4000 மற்றும் அரிசி வழங்கினார். கோவிட்-1-ஐ எதிர்த்துப் போராடுவதில் முன்களத்தில் பணியாற்றும் 1,12,184 காவலர்களுக்கு ரூ. 5000 போனஸ் வழங்கும் திட்டத்தை முதல்வர் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

2. RBI to undertake G-SAP 2.0 operation in the second quarter of FY22 to purchase G-Secs of Rs. 1.2 lakh crores

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to conduct an operation under G-SAP 1.0 for the purchase of G-Secs of 40,000 crores on 17 June 2021. Of this, Rs. 10,000 crores would constitute the purchase of State Development Loans (SDL).
• It has also been decided to undertake G-SAP 2.0 in the second quarter of FY22 and conduct secondary market purchase operations of 1.20 lakh crores to support the market.

2. 2022ஆம் நிதியாண்டின் இரண்டாம் காலாண்டில், 1.2 லட்சம் கோடி மதிப்புள்ள அரசு பத்திரங்கள் வாங்கும் G-SAP 2.0 இயக்கத்தை இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி மேற்கொள்ள உள்ளது

• இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி (RBI), 17 ஜூன் 2021 அன்று G-SAP 0இன் கீழ், ரூ. 40,000 கோடி அரசு பத்திரங்கள் வாங்க முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. இதில் ரூ. 10,000 கோடி செலவில் மாநில வளர்ச்சிக் கடன்கள் (SDL) வாங்கப்படும்.
• மேலும், 2022ஆம் நிதியாண்டின் இரண்டாம் காலாண்டில் G-SAP 2.0 இயக்கத்தை மேற்கொள்ளவும், சந்தைக்கு ஆதரவுக்காக ரூ. 20 லட்சம் கோடி மதிப்புள்ள இரண்டாம் நிலை சந்தை கொள்முதல் நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளவும் முடிவு செய்துள்ளது.

3. National Council of Science Museums collaborates with London’s Science Museum Group, for ‘Hunt for the Vaccine’ international travelling exhibition

• National Council of Science Museums, India, is set to collaborate with the London’s Science Museum Group for an international travelling exhibition called ‘Hunt for the Vaccine’. The exhibition is scheduled to be inaugurated in November 2022 in Delhi.
• The exhibition will tell the story of the global efforts to find new ways to develop vaccines at pandemic speed and scientific principles underlying a vaccine’s creation and efficacy.

3. தேசிய அறிவியல் அருங்காட்சியகங்கள் கவுன்சில் மற்றும் லண்டன் அறிவியல் அருங்காட்சியக குழு இணைந்து சர்வதேச பயண கண்காட்சியான ‘ஹன்ட் ஃபார் வேக்சின்‘ நடத்தவிருக்கின்றன

• இந்திய தேசிய அறிவியல் அருங்காட்சியகங்கள் கவுன்சில், லண்டனில் உள்ள அறிவியல் அருங்காட்சியக குழுவுடன் இணைந்து ‘ஹன்ட் ஃபார் வேக்சின்‘ என்ற சர்வதேச பயண கண்காட்சியை நடத்தவிருக்கிறது. இந்த கண்காட்சி நவம்பர் 2022இல் டெல்லியில் தொடங்க திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• தொற்றுநோய் பரவும் வேகத்தில் தடுப்பூசிகளை உருவாக்குவதற்கான புதிய வழிகளைக் கண்டறிவதற்கான உலகளாவிய முயற்சிகளின் கதையையும், தடுப்பூசியின் உருவாக்கம் மற்றும் செயல்திறனின் அடிப்படையில் உள்ள அறிவியல் கொள்கைகளின் கதையையும் இந்த கண்காட்சி சொல்லும்.

4. Union Government constitutes Expert Group on Fixation of Minimum Wages and National Floor Wages

• The Union Ministry of Labour & Employment has constituted an Expert Group to provide technical inputs and recommendations on fixation of minimum wages and national floor minimum wages by looking into the international best practices. The Expert Group has been constituted for a period of three years.
• Chairman: Prof. Ajit Mishra, Director of Institute of Economic Growth

Minimum Wages

• Minimum Wage is defined as the minimum amount of remuneration that an employer is required to pay wage earners for the work performed during a given period, which cannot be reduced by collective agreement or an individual contract. It includes the bare needs of life like food, shelter and clothing.

National Floor Wages

• National Floor Wages should be greater than minimum wages.

5. Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment launches SAGE initiative and SAGE portal to support India’s elderly

• The Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Thaawarchand Gehlot, launched the Senior care Ageing Growth Engine (SAGE) project to select, support and create a “one-stop access” ofelderly care products and services by credible start-ups.
• Start-ups can apply for being a part of SAGE through a dedicated portal. The Union Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment will act as a facilitator, enabling the elderly to access the products through these identified start-ups.
• India’s elderly population as a percentage of the total population in the country, is expected to increase from around 5% in 2001 to almost 12.5% by 2026 and surpass 19.5% by 2050.

6. Hydrographic survey ship of Indian Navy ‘INS Sandhayak’ decommissioned in Visakhapatnam

• INS Sandhayak, the first of its class indigenously designed and built hydrographic survey ship of the Indian Navy, was decommissioned in Visakhapatnam.
• This ship was commissioned to the Indian Navy on 26 February 1981.
• The ship has been an active participant in many significant operations such as Operation Pawan – assisting the Indian Peace Keeping Force in Sri Lanka in 1987, Operation Sarong and  Operation  Rainbow – rendering humanitarian assistance post-tsunami of 2004.

6. விசாகப்பட்டினத்தில் இந்திய கடற்படையின் நீர்வரைவியல் ஆய்வு கப்பல் ‘ஐஎன்எஸ் சன்தயக்‘ இந்திய கடற்படையிலிருந்து விடுவிக்கப்பட்டது

• உள்நாட்டில் வடிவமைத்து உருவாக்கப்பட்ட முதல் நீர்வரைவியல் ஆய்வு கப்பலான, ஐ.என்.எஸ். சன்தாயக், விசாகப்பட்டினத்தில் இந்திய கடற்படையிலிருந்து விடுவிக்கப்பட்டது.
• இந்த கப்பல் 26 பிப்ரவரி 1981 அன்று இந்திய கடற்படையில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டது.
• 1987ஆம் ஆண்டில், இலங்கையில் இந்திய அமைதி காக்கும் படைக்கு உதவிய ஆபரேஷன் பவன், ஆபரேஷன் சரோங், 2004 சுனாமிக்குப் பிறகு மனிதாபிமான உதவிகளை வழங்கும் ஆபரேஷன் ரெயின்போ போன்ற பல குறிப்பிடத்தக்க நடவடிக்கைகளில் இந்த கப்பல் செயலூக்கமான பங்கேற்பாளராக இருந்தது.

7. New geoglyphs discovered in Boha, Thar Desert

• Two independent researchers from France have identified geoglyphs in eight sites around Jaisalmer in the Thar Desert. They used Google Earth images, drone observations and field visits.
• The linear features cover an area of about 6 sq. km, resembling geoglyphs. The Boha geoglyphs are clearly man-made, but they have been eroded lately.
• Geoglyphs are large, un-explained geometrical patterns on land usually proposed to be man-made features. The world’s largest concentration of geoglyphs is found in Southern Peru, covering an area of about 1,000 sq. km.

7. தார் பாலைவனத்தின் போஹாவில் புதிய புவிப்பகுப்புகள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன

• பிரான்சைச் சேர்ந்த இரண்டு சுயாதீன ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் தார் பாலைவனத்தில் ஜெய்சால்மரைச் சுற்றியுள்ள எட்டு இடங்களில் புவிப்பகுப்புகளை (geoglyphs) அடையாளம் கண்டுள்ளனர். அவர்கள் கூகிள் எர்த் படங்கள், ட்ரோன்கள் மற்றும் கள வருகைகள் மூலம் இவற்றைக் கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர்.
• புவிப்பகுப்புகளை ஒத்த நேரியல் அம்சங்கள் சுமார் 6 ச.கி.மீ. பரப்பளவை உள்ளடக்கியது. போஹா புவிப்பகுப்புகள் மனிதனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டவை. ஆனால் அவை சமீபத்தில் அரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• புவிப்பகுப்புகள் பொதுவாக மனிதனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட அம்சகளாக முன்மொழியப்பட்ட நிலத்தில் பெரிய, விளக்கப்படாத வடிவியல் வடிவங்கள் ஆகும். உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய புவிப்பகுப்பு சுமார் 1,000 ச.கி.மீ பரப்பளவில் தெற்கு பெருவில் காணப்படுகின்றன.

8. Delhi and Hyderabad airports receive ACI Asia–Pacific Green Airports Recognition

• Delhi and Hyderabad airports have been felicitated by the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific Green Airports Recognition 2021 for their environment sustainable initiatives.
• The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has been awarded the Platinum Recognition in the over 25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category. DIAL was recognised for its Green taxiing initiatives at IGI Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport) based on TaxiBots. This is the fifth consecutive year where DIAL has been appreciated and awarded for its sustainable initiatives.
• The GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) received the Gold Recognition by the ACI in the below 25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category. GHIAL has received Gold Recognition for the fourth time in a row for its sustainable airport operations for effective Air Quality Management.

ACI’s Green Airports Recognition

• ACI’s Green Airports Recognition programme promotes environmental best practices to minimise the aviation industry’s impact on the environment and recognises ACI Asia-Pacific members for outstanding environmental initiatives and projects.
• 2021 Theme: “Air Quality Management specifically emphasising the benefit of local air quality management”

8. டெல்லி மற்றும் ஹைதராபாத் விமான நிலையங்களுக்கு ACI ஆசிய-பசிபிக் பசுமை விமான நிலையங்கள் அங்கீகாரம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

• டெல்லி மற்றும் ஹைதராபாத் விமான நிலையங்களின் சுற்றுச்சூழல் நிலையான முயற்சிகளுக்காக சர்வதேச விமான நிலைய கவுன்சில் (ACI) ஆசிய-பசிபிக் பசுமை விமான நிலைய அங்கீகாரம் 2021 வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• தில்லி சர்வதேச விமான நிலைய நிறுவனத்திற்கு (DIAL), வருடத்திற்கு 25 மில்லியனுக்கும் அதிகமான பயணிகள் (MPPA) பிரிவில், பிளாட்டினம் அங்கீகாரம் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. IGI விமான நிலையம் (இந்திரா காந்தி சர்வதேச விமான நிலையம்) டாக்ஸிபோட்களை (TaxiBots) அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட அதன் பசுமை டாக்ஸி முயற்சிகளுக்காக DIAL அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டது. DIAL அதன் நிலையான முயற்சிகளுக்காக தொடர்ச்சியாக ஐந்தாவது ஆண்டாக பாராட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• ஜி.எம்.ஆர் ஹைதராபாத் சர்வதேச விமான நிலைய நிறுவனம் (GHIAL) ஆண்டுக்கு 25 மில்லியனுக்கும் குறைவான பயணிகள் (MPPA) பிரிவில் ACIயிடம் தங்க அங்கீகாரத்தைப் பெற்றது. சிறந்த காற்று தர மேலாண்மைக்கான நிலையான விமான நிலைய செயல்பாடுகளுக்காக GHIAL தொடர்ந்து நான்காவது முறையாக தங்க அங்கீகாரத்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளது.

9. African Union suspends the membership of Mali after a military coup

• The African Union has suspended Mali’s membership in response to a military coup and threatened sanctions if a civilian-led government is not restored. West African regional bloc ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) had also suspended Mali.

African Union

• The African Union is made up of 55 Member States which represent all the countries on the African continent. It was formed on 26 May 2001 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It replaced the Organisation of African Unity (OAU).
• The African Union was formed to achieve greater unity between the African countries and Africans.

9. இராணுவம் ஆட்சியை கைப்பற்றியதால் மாலியின் உறுப்பினர் அங்கீகாரத்தை ஆப்பிரிக்க ஒன்றியம் இடைநீக்கியது

• இராணுவம் ஆட்சியை கைப்பற்றியதால் மாலியின் உறுப்பினர் அங்கீகாரத்தை ஆப்பிரிக்க ஒன்றியம் இடைநீக்கியது. மேலும் குடிமை அரசாங்கம் மீட்டெடுக்கப்படாவிட்டால் பொருளாதாரத் தடைகள் விதிக்கப்படும் என்றும் அவ்வமைப்பு அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளது. மேற்கு ஆப்பிரிக்க பிராந்திய முகாமான ECOWAS (மேற்கு அப்பிரிக்க நாடுகளின் பொருளாதார சமூகம்)ம் மாலியை இடைநீக்கம் செய்துள்ளது.

• ஆப்பிரிக்க ஒன்றியம் ஆப்பிரிக்க கண்டத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்து நாடுகளையும் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் 55 உறுப்பு நாடுகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• ஆப்பிரிக்க ஒற்றுமை அமைப்புக்கு பதிலாக (OAU) இவ்வமைப்பு உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.
• ஆப்பிரிக்க நாடுகளுக்கும் ஆப்பிரிக்கர்களுக்கும் இடையே அதிக ஒற்றுமை உண்டாகுவதற்காக இந்த அமைப்பு உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

10. International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression – 4 June

• International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is observed globally on 4 June every year. This day acknowledges the pain suffered by children who are the victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse.
• On 19 August 1982, the United Nations, at its emergency special session, decided to commemorate this day of each year as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

10. வன்முறையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட அப்பாவி குழந்தைகளின் சர்வதேச தினம் – 4 ஜூன்

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 4 ஜூன் அன்று உலகளவில் வன்முறையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட அப்பாவி குழந்தைகளின் சர்வதேச தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. உடல், மனம் மற்றும் உணர்வு ரீதியாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளின் வலிகளை இந்த நாள் மேற்கோளிட்டுக் காட்டுகிறது.
• 19 ஆகஸ்ட் 1982 அன்று, ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபை அதன் அவசர சிறப்புக் கூட்டத்தில், ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் இந்த நாளை வன்முறையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட அப்பாவி குழந்தைகளின் சர்வதேச தினமாக நினைவுகூர முடிவு செய்தது.
