- Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has fully commissioned India’s first Voltage Source Converter (VSC) based High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) electricity transmission system.
- The 2,000 MW electricity transmission system, consisting of 2 links between Pugalur in Tamil Nadu and Thrissur in Kerala.

- The first meeting of the Joint Working Group on Cyber Security Cooperation between India and Australia was held virtually.
- The Joint Working Group on Cyber Security Cooperation is a mechanism established under the Framework Arrangement on the Cyber and Cyber-enabled Critical Technology Cooperation between India and Australia to implement the 2020–25 Plan of Action under the Framework.
- Both countries agreed to broad-base cooperation in the spheres of the digital economy and cyber-enabled critical technologies, noting the need to strengthen the security of critical information infrastructure such as 5G telecom networks.

- DBS (Development Bank of Singapore) has been named by Forbes in their list of World’s Best Banks 2021 in India category.

RBI allows banks to charge Rs. 21 for post limit ATM transactions from 1 January 2022
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has permitted banks to increase charges for cash and non-cash ATM transactions beyond the free monthly permissible limit from 2022.
- Bank customers will have to pay 21 per transaction instead of Rs. 20, with effect from 1 January 2022, if they exceed the monthly limit of free transactions.

- IIT Kharagpur scientists have found a promising technique for early detection of development or strengthening of tropical cyclones in the atmospheric column before satellite detection over ocean surface in the northern Indian Ocean region.
- Early detection of tropical cyclones has wide socio-economic implications. A larger time gap between the detection and the impact of the cyclone could help preparation activities.
