PM to unveil road map for “Narmada Seva Mission”:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a road map for the conservation of the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh. The event will be organised at Amarkantak in Anooppur district where the river originates.

It will mark the conclusion of ‘Namami Devi Narmade Sewa Yatra’. The Narmada river conservation awareness campaign was launched in December last year.


PM Modi to be inaugurated India longest bridge:

PM Modi will be inaugurating the India longest bridge “The Dhola-Sadlya” in Assam, close to the border with china. The Total cost of this project is 950 crore and length is 9.15 km between Dhola and Sadlya.

Palestinian President Abbas to visit India:

Palestinian President Abbas will hold a bilateral summit with Mr.Modi and will be hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee. He will meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

According to the external affairs ministry, the visit will provide an opportunity for reviewing the entire gamut of bilateral relations, the Middle East peace process, and regional and international issues.

 


China will host Belt and Road forum in 2019:

China will host the Second Belt and Road Forum in 2019. The leaders of 29 nations wrapped up the first meeting of the forum to promote China’s “Belt and Road” initiative.

FICCI predicts economy growth rate at 7.4% in 2017-18:

In a survey conducted during March and April 2017, industry chamber Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) predicted India’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth will be around 7.4 per cent for fiscal 2017-18, with a minimum and maximum level of 7 per cent and 7.6 per cent respectively.

 


Kotak Mahindra Bank Unveil 811 digital saving accounts:

    Kotak Mahindra Bank unveiled India first downloadable digital saving account namely as “811 account”. It is zero minimum balance account and can open an account in 5 minutes from phone with just Aadhaar and PAN number.

Arjun Maini wins GP3 sprint race:

The 19-year-old Indian, who drives for Jenzer Motorsport, capped off a remarkable week by winning his first race in the GP3 series, finishing on top of the podium in the sprint race (race 2) at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. Arjun Maini becomes the first Indian driver to wins GP3 sprint race.

 


Someshwara Rao claim 200m gold and Hokato Sema bags bronze:

India’s Ramudri Someshwara Rao won a gold medal in men’s 200m T44 event at the 2017 World Para athletics GP. Someshwara clocked 25.29s in the final. Hokato Sema won a bronze in shot put. Both will now take part in the IPC Para athletics World Championships to be held at London in July.

 

 


Sumit Kumar bags silver at Asian wrestling championship:

Sumit Kumar won a silver medal match against Yadollah Mohammadkazemi Mohebi of Iran in final of the 125kg freestyle class of the Asian wrestling championship in New Delhi.

 

 

 


Indian Women Cricket team set new ODI record:

Indian Women set new records in Women’s ODI cricket at the Potchefstroom against Ireland by Deepti Sharma and Poonam Raut recorded the first ever triple century (320) stand in Women’s ODI cricket with Deepti amassing 188 and Poonam Raut scores 109 runs.
