NHPC signs a pact with BSHPC to set up a 130.1-MW hydropower project in Bihar

  • State-owned National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) signed a pact with Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation (BSHPC) to implement a 130.1-megawatt (MW) Dagmara hydroelectricity project in Bihar.
  • A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between public sector hydropower firm NHPC and BSHPC for the implementation of the 130.1 MW Dagmara hydroelectric project in the Supaul district of Bihar.

Telangana AI Mission launches ‘Revv Up’ accelerator program for AI startups

  • The Government of Telangana has launched the Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM) powered by the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) as part of the “2020 Year of AI”
  • T-AIM announced the launch of the accelerator program ‘Revv Up’ that will enable and empower AI startups.
  • The vision of T-AIM is to develop the state of Telangana as a global hub for artificial intelligence (AI) and leverage it for societal good.

  • Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation for the Development of sea plane services in India.
  • This MoU envisages the development of the Non-Scheduled (or) Scheduled operation of seaplane services within the territorial jurisdiction of India under the Regional Connectivity Scheme-UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme of the Government of India.

Ambuja Cement Foundation and NABARD partners to skill rural youth across India

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Ambuja Cements Limited, Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF), partnered with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for the implementation of its Employability through Skill Initiative Project (ESIP) Phase II.
