EC allotted new party names, symbols to two factions of Tamil Nadu’s
The Election Commission today allotted new party names and symbols to two factions of Tamil Nadu’s ruling AIADMK ahead of RK Nagar bypolls. Former chief minister O Panneerselvam’s faction was given the party name AIADMK Puratchi Thalaivi Amma. Electricity pole will be the symbol of the faction.
The Sasikala camp has been allotted the hat symbol. The name of the party will be AIADMK Amma. The Commission had freezed the AIADMK symbol of two leaves after the fight between the factions. The byelection is scheduled on 12th April.
