Q1. What is the tentative dates for the prelims and mains examination of IBPS Clerk 2017 ?

IBPS Clerk 2017 have announced the tentative dates for both the Prelims and the mains examination.

Preliminary Examination – 2nd December , 3rd December , 9th December & 10th December 2017

Mains Examination – 21st January 2018

Q2. How many banks are participating organizations in this IBPS CLERK 2017 and please mention their names of the participating banks ?

Totally there are 19 participating organizations / banks in this IBPS CLERK 2017 and they are Allahabad Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, Andhra Bank, Central Bank of India, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Union Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Corporation Bank, Punjab National Bank, United Bank of India, Bank of India, Dena Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Vijaya Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Bank and Syndicate Bank.

Q3. Can I apply for two states for the IBPS CLERK 2017 ? 

No. It is clearly mentioned that you can apply for the post of Clerk in IBPS Clerk 2017 from only one state. Also IBPS has the right to mention the nearest center for the exam for a candidate and it can be in the other state(this is only for convenience) and the candidature of that particular candidate will be from the state in which he/she had applied before.

Please note this reallocation is only for the conduct of examination and the candidate will be considered for vacancies in the State/UT applied for, as aforesaid.

Q4. Is there any AGE restriction to apply for the post of IBPS Clerk 2017 ?

Yes there is age restriciton to apply for the post of IBPS Clerk 2017.

Age (As on 01.09.2017): Minimum: 20 years                                         Maximum: 28 years

i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1989 and not later than 01.09.1997 (both dates inclusive)

Please note that this maximum age limit is for general category only and there are relaxation for different categories.

Q5. What is the educational qualification to apply for the post of IBPS CLERK 2017 ?

The applicant must be a graduate in any discipline and that graduation should have been done under the university approved by the Government of India or it can be any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Also working knowledge on the computer systems is a must and mandatory thing.

Candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

 

Q6. I am a final year student , Can i Apply for the IBPS CLERK 2017 ?

No , you can’t apply for the IBPS CLERK 2017. It is clearly mentioned in the notification that only candidates who are graduate are eligible to apply. Also it should be note that all the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before 03.10.2017.

Q7. I have got 59% in my graduation , Can I Apply for the posts in IBPS Clerk 2017 ?

Yes , you can apply for the posts in IBPS CLERK 2017. Since there is no criteria mentioned in the notification about the percentage.

Q8. What is the exam pattern of the IBPS CLERK 2017 ?

Yes there are negative marks for the wrong answers marked by the candidates in the IBPS CLERK 2017. Yes apart from the English section , all the sections in both the preliminary and mains examination will be in bilingual in nature.
