Roles & Responsibilities of IBPS RRB Scale I Officer (PO) – IBPS RRB 2018

• Looking After Public Relations
• Briefing of the important schemes of the bank to the customers in detail
• Help to know the nuances of the schemes better to others
• Enlightening the Farmers regarding the Credit System, Facilities available and the Schemes developed.  (RRB)
• Overseeing the Activities of the Assistants and Check the Day to Day activities of the branches and the financial processes
• Assisting the Customers about the Banking Processes
• Validating the Banking Process like Withdrawal, Deposits and Infow & Outfow of the cash
• Authorizing the Cash Management
• Implementing the Schemes provided by the Top Management in Micro Level in their Branches
• Delivering the Schemes by the Government to the Customers through their branches.
• Generating Reports of the Day to Day Banking Processes to the Higher Officials
• Addressing the Customer Issues & Grievances
• Implementing the Overall functions assigned to them to the branches
• Assessment of Credit Profiles

Salary – IBPS RRB Scale I Officer 

• Basic Salary: Rs.23,700
• DA (Dearness Allowances):  100 % (For New Recruits)
• Along with that HRA will be provided as per the area of Posting, since the area of posting will be within a rural area, the amount of HRA will be low when compared to other posts.
• Probation Period: 2 Years
• Please note, Until the Completion of the 2 years’ probation period, the candidates will not be getting the same salary as that of a Scale I Officer.
• Total Salary: Rs. 36,000 (Along with DA & HRA)
• Please note that the salary of the employees will be increased on a yearly basis.

Career Progression of an IBPS RRB Officer 

• Since RRB’s are handled by PSB’s , the higher posts might get be filled with Higher Officials from that Public Sector Bank. (This is definitely not the cases for all the banks, but there is a possibilty).
• After the Probation period (2 years) , they will be get posted as an Assistant Manager. After that at periodical intervals promotions can be attained.
• An PO can get promoted as Deputy Manager, Branch Manager and son on in the RRB Promotion Ladder.
• Only on gaining ample experience will a PO get the necessary promotions.
• One can move to other PSB’s also by writing CAIIB /JAIIB to explore other career opportunities.
