1. இந்தியாவின் முதல் ஆதார் அடிப்படையிலான எஸ்ஐபி (SIP) பணம் செலுத்துதல் அம்சத்தை ETMONEY அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது

• ETMONEY என்பது பரஸ்பர நிதிகளில் தரகற்ற நேரடி முதலீடு உட்பட நிதி சேவைகளுக்கான இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய பயன்பாடாகும்.

2. The National Pension System (NPS) will no longer compel investors to convert 40% into annuity

• Post-retirement, a person has to take 40% of the total corpus as an annuity as per the law’s mandate, and 60% can be commuted and taken as a lump sum. Now the 40% cap has been removed. Thus the user can receive the total pension.
• The regulator will issue fresh rules allow those saving up to ₹5 lakh in the NPS to take the whole amount at retirement, up from ₹2 lakh at present.

• ஓய்வு பெற்ற பின்னர், ஒருவர் 40 சதவீதத்தை ஓய்வூதிய நிதி சேமிப்பாக முதலீடு செய்ய வேண்டியது சட்டத்தின்படி கட்டாயமாக இருந்தது, மீதமுள்ள 60 சதவீத தொகையை ஒரே நேரத்தில் அவா்கள் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம். 40 சதவீத வரம்பு இனி கட்டாயமில்லை என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலமாக பயனாளா்களுக்கு இனி முழு ஓய்வூதியப் பலனும் கிடைக்கும்.
• ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தில் ரூ.5 லட்சம் வரை சேமிப்புத் தொகை கொண்ட பயனாளா்கள், பணி ஓய்வு பெறும்போது மொத்த தொகையையும் பெற்றுக் கொள்வதற்கு விரைவில் அனுமதி அளிக்கப்படவுள்ளது. இதுவரை ரூ.2 லட்சம் வரை சேமிப்புத் தொகை கொண்ட பயனாளா்களுக்கே இந்த அனுமதி வழங்கப்பட்டு வந்தது.

3. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank launched the World’s 1^st affordable and long-lasting hygiene product DuroKea Series

• Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has launched the World’s first affordable and long-lasting hygiene product DuroKea Series. It was developed by IIT Hyderabad.
• This next-generation DuroKea antimicrobial technology starts at 189 rupees, kills 99.99 percent of germs instantly, and leaves behind the long-lasting protective nanoscale coating for upto 35 days till the next wash.
• The unique property of the DuroKea range is to ensure instant killing (within 60 sec) and prolonged protection, which is an immense necessity during this current pandemic situation.

3. மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் ரமேஷ் பொக்ரியால் நிஷாங்க் உலகின் முதல் மலிவு மற்றும் நீண்டகால சுகாதார தயாரிப்பான டியூரோகியா தொடரை அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார்

• மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் ரமேஷ் பொக்ரியால் நிஷாங்க் உலகின் முதல் மலிவு மற்றும் நீண்டகால சுகாதார தயாரிப்பான டியூரோகியா தொடரை அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். இது ஹைதராபாத் ஐஐடியால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

4. Aditya Birla Group’s cellulose arm bags maiden UN award for sustainability

• Birla Cellulose, a part of the Aditya Birla Group has won the first edition of the “National Innovative and Sustainable Supply Chain Awards” by UN Global Compact Network India award for the innovative and sustainable supply chain.
• It solved the challenge of mounting textile waste which is either incinerated or landfilled due to lack of recycling technologies.

• India completed Asian Wrestling Championships 2021 with 7 medals (4 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze).

• Asian Wrestling Championships is an annual event organised by the Asian Associated Wrestling Committee (AAWC). Men’s tournament began in 1979 and women’s tournament in 1996.

6. Wisden Almanack announces the ODI player of the decade

• Virat Kohli was named the Wisden ODI player of 2010s.
• Dom Sibley, Zak Crawley, Jason Holder, Mohammed Rizwan and Darren Stevens were named Wisden Cricketers of the Year in the 2021 edition of Wisden Almanack.
• Ben Stokes was declared as the ‘Leading Cricketer in the World’ for the second year in a row.
• Australia’s Beth Mooney was declared as the ‘Leading Women’s Cricketer in the World’.
• West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard was named the Leading T20 Cricketer in the World.
• Sachin Tendulkar was the ODI Cricketer of the 1990s.
• Kapil Dev,  was named as the ODI Cricketer for the 1980s.

Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack

• Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack is known as the Bible of Cricket.
• To commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the first One-Day International, five ODI cricketers of the year have been named in 2021.

7. World Hemophilia Day – 17 April

• 17 April is observed as the World Hemophilia Day every year. The day marks the birth anniversary of Frank Schnabel, founder of the World Federation of Haemophilia. The day was first observed in 1989.
• Hemophilia is a rare blood disorder in which blood does not clot normally because it lacks sufficient blood-clotting proteins.
• The theme of World Haemophilia Day 2021: “Adapting to change: sustaining care in a new world”

7. உலக குருதிப் பெருக்குநோய் தினம் – 17 ஏப்ரல்

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 17 ஏப்ரல் அன்று உலக குருதிப் பெருக்குநோய் தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த நாள் உலக குருதிப் பெருக்குநோய் (ஹீமோபிலியா) கூட்டமைப்பின் நிறுவனரான பிராங்க் ஷ்னாபெல்லின் பிறந்த நாளைக் குறிக்கிறது. இந்த நாள் முதன்முதலில் 1989இல் அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டது.
• குருதிப் பெருக்குநோய் (ஹீமோபிலியா) என்பது ஒரு அரிய இரத்தக்கோளாறு ஆகும், இதில் போதுமான இரத்த உறைதல் புரதங்கள் இல்லாததால் பொதுவாக இரத்தம் உறைவதில்லை.

8. Theeran Chinnamalai’s birth anniversary – 17 April

• Theerthagiri known as Theeran Chinnamalai was a Palayakkarar of Kongu country who fought the British East India Company. He was born on 17 April 1756.

Three of his battles are important:

1. The 1801 battle on Cauvery banks
2. The 1802 battle in Odanilai
3. The 1804 battle in Arachalur

• During the final battle in 1805, Chinnamalai was betrayed by his cook Nallappan and was hanged in Sangagiri fort.

• தீரன் சின்னமலை என அறியப்பட்ட தீர்த்தகிரி ஆங்கிலேயக் கிழக்கிந்தியக் கம்பெனியை எதிர்த்துப் போரிட்ட கொங்குநாட்டுப் பாளையக்காரர் ஆவார்.

சின்னமலையின் போர்களில்மு க்கியமானவை மூன்று:

1. 1801 ஆம்ஆண்டு காவிரிக்கரையில் நடைபெற்ற போர்
2. 1802ஆம்ஆண்டு ஓடாநிலையில் நடந்த போர்
3. 1804இல் நடந்தஅரச்சலூர் போர் ஆகும்

• 1805இல் நடைபெற்ற அவரது இறுதிப் போரில் சின்னமலை அவருடைய சமையல்காரர் நல்லப்பனால் துரோகம் இழைக்கப்பட்டு, சங்ககிரி கோட்டையில் தூக்கிலிடப்பட்டார்.

9. United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) launched its flagship State of World Population Report 2021

• United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) launched its flagship State of World Population Report 2021 with the title ‘My Body is My Own’. The report talks about bodily autonomy including, child marriage, female genital mutilation, contraceptive choices, unwanted sex, etc.
• The report shows that in countries where data is available, only 55 percent of women are fully empowered to make choices over healthcare, contraception, and the ability to say yes or no to sex.
• The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is a UN agency created in 1969 with the aim of improving reproductive and maternal health worldwide. Its headquarters is situated in New York.

• ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் மக்கள் தொகை நிதியம் (UNFPA) அதன் முதன்மை உலக மக்கள் தொகை அறிக்கை 2021ஐ ‘என் உடல் என் சொந்தம்’ என்ற தலைப்பில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. குழந்தைத் திருமணம், பெண் பிறப்புறுப்பு சிதைப்பு, கருத்தடைத் தேர்வுகள், தேவையற்ற கலவி உள்ளிட்ட உடல் சுயாட்சி பற்றி இந்த அறிக்கை பேசுகிறது.

10. Famous Tamil film actor Vivek passes away at 60

• Famous Tamil film actor and Padma Sri awardee Vivek passed away in Chennai due to a massive heart attack. He was bestowed with the Padma Shri Award, India’s fourth-highest civilian award in the year 2009 by the Union government.
• The renowned comedian Vivek was popularly called ‘Chinna Kalaivanar’ for his social reformative dialogues in Tamil cinema.

10. பிரபல தமிழ் திரைப்பட நடிகர் விவேக் தனது 60 வயதில் காலமானார்

• பிரபல தமிழ் திரைப்பட நடிகரும், பத்ம ஸ்ரீ விருது பெற்ற நடிகருமான விவேக் மாரடைப்பால் சென்னையில் காலமானார். 2009ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவின் நான்காவது உயரிய விருதான பத்மஸ்ரீ விருதை மத்திய அரசு இவருக்கு வழங்கியது.
