1. August 15 – Independence day

• Independence Day is celebrated annually on 15 August in India commemorating the nation’s independence from the British on 15 August 1947.
• India celebrated its 75^th Independence Day, marking another milestone in the history of the world’s largest democracy.
• Addressing the nation from Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Centre will soon launch the Rs. 100 lakh-crore Gati Shakti national infrastructure plan to boost the country’s economy.
• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Stalin hoisted the National Flag in Fort St. George.

1. ஆகஸ்ட் 15 – சுதந்திர தினம்

• 15 ஆகஸ்ட் 1947இல் பிரிட்டிஷாரிடமிருந்து நாடு சுதந்திரம் பெற்றதை நினைவுகூறும் வகையில் இந்தியாவில் 15 ஆகஸ்ட் அன்று சுதந்திர தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
• இந்தியா தனது 75வது சுதந்திர தினத்தை கொண்டாடியது, உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய ஜனநாயக வரலாற்றில் மற்றொரு மைல்கல்லை குறிக்கிறது.
• செங்கோட்டையில் இருந்து நாட்டு மக்களிடையே உரையாற்றிய இந்திய பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி, நாட்டின் பொருளாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக ரூ. 100 லட்சம் கோடி மதிப்பிலான கதி சக்தி தேசிய உள்கட்டமைப்பு திட்டத்தை மத்திய அரசு விரைவில் தொடங்க உள்ளது என்றார்.

TAMIL NADU

2. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin Unviels a Memorial Pillar to Commemorate 75^th Independence Day

• On the occasion of the 75^th Independence Day of the country, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Stalin opened a memorial Pillar which was erected at the junction of Kamarajar Road and Sivananda Road in Chennai.
• Despite India’s got independence from the british rule, military personnel have been engaged in the glorious task of defending our country. To give them special credits, statues of four soldiers are realistically erected around the pillar.

2. 75ஆவது சுதந்திரத்தைப் போற்றும் நினைவுத் தூணை முதல்வா் மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் திறந்து வைத்தாா்

• நாட்டின் 75-ஆவது சுதந்திர தினத்தை ஒட்டி, சென்னை காமராஜா் சாலை–சிவானந்தா சாலை சந்திப்பில் எழுப்பப்பட்ட நினைவுத் தூணை முதல்வா் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் திறந்து வைத்தாா்.
• இந்தியா சுதந்திரம் பெற்றாலும், சுதந்திர பெற்ற நாட்டை காக்கும் அரும்பெரும் பணியில் ராணுவ வீரா்கள் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறாா்கள். அவா்களுக்கு சிறப்பு சோ்க்கும் வகையில், தூணைச் சுற்றிலும் நான்கு ராணுவ வீரா்களின் சிலைகள் தத்ரூபமாக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

3. Suhanjana appointed as the first female ‘Odhuvar’ in Tamil Nadu

• In 1970, the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi passed a resolution regarding a law that ‘all castes can be priests’ in the Legislative Assembly.
• After 51 years, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has executed the law by issuing appointment orders for 58 people from different castes.
• For the first time in Tamil Nadu, Suhanjana has been appointed as the female ‘Odhuvar’ for the Thenupuriswar temple in Madambakkam, Chengalpattu

3. தமிழ்நாட்டிலேயே முதல் முறையாகச் பெண் ஓதுவாராக சுஹாஞ்சனா நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்

• தமிழ்நாட்டில், அனைத்து சாதியினரும் அர்ச்சகர் ஆகும் சட்டத்தைக் கடந்த 1970ஆம் ஆண்டில் அப்போதைய முதலமைச்சர் மு. கருணாநிதி சட்டப்பேரவையில் தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றினார்.
• இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து, கலைஞரால் கொண்டு வரப்பட்ட இச்சட்டத்தை 51 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு முதலமைச்சர் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் வெவ்வேறு சாதிகளைச் சேர்ந்த 58 பேருக்கு பணி நியமன ஆணைகளை வழங்கி நிறைவேற்றியுள்ளார்.
• தமிழ்நாட்டிலேயே முதல் முறையாகச் செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டம் மாடம்பாக்கத்தில் உள்ள தேனுபுரீஸ்வர் கோயிலுக்குப் பெண் ஓதுவாராக சுஹாஞ்சனா நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

4. Agriculture Budget tabled in the Legislative Assembly for the first time in the history of Tamil Nadu

• For the first time in the history of Tamil Nadu, Minister of Agriculture and farmer’s welfare M. R. K. Panneerselvam presented the Agricultural Budget 2021 in the Legislative Assembly.

Objectives of Agriculture Budget 2021

• The incentives for paddy and sugarcane will be increased.
• A separate museum for agriculture will be set up in Chennai for the younger generation to know the glory of agriculture.
• Prizes will be given to farmers who excel in organic farming, product exports and new invention.
• A State Level Agrarian Committee will be set up under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to look into the problems faced by the farmers in the state.

4. தமிழக வரலாற்றில் முதல் முறையாக, சட்டப் பேரவையில் வேளாண் நிதிநிலை அறிக்கை தாக்கல்

• விவசாயம் மற்றும் விவசாயிகள் நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் எம். ஆா். கே. பன்னீா்செல்வம் தமிழக வரலாற்றில் முதல் முறையாக, சட்டப் பேரவையில் வேளாண் நிதிநிலை அறிக்கையை தாக்கல் செய்தார்.

வேளாண் நிதிநிலை அறிக்கை 2021இன் நோக்கங்கள்

• நெல்-கரும்புக்கான ஊக்கத் தொகைகள் உயா்த்தப்படும்.
• வேளாண்மையின் பெருமையை இளம் சந்ததியினா் அறிந்து கொள்வதற்காக, வேளாண்மைக்கென தனியாக ஒரு அருங்காட்சியகம் சென்னையில் அமைக்கப்படும்.
• இயற்கை வேளாண்மை, விளைபொருள் ஏற்றுமதி, புதிய உள்ளூா் கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் போன்றவற்றில் சிறந்து விளங்கும் விவசாயிகளுக்கு பரிசுகள் அளிக்கப்படும்.

APPOINTMENTS

5. Vaagai Chandrasekar is appointed as the president of Tamil Nadu Eyal, Isai and Nataka Manram

• After expiry of the term of the president of the Tamil Nadu Eyal, Isai and Nataka Manram, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Stalin has appointed Vaagai Chandrasekar as the new president.
• In 1991, the then Chief Minister Karunanithi conferred the Kalaimamani Award to Vaagai Chandrasekhar for his performance in the Tamil film industry.
• In addition, Vagai Chandrasekhar was the recipient of various awards including ‘National Award for Best Actor’ awarded by the Government of India in 2003.

5. தமிழ்நாடு இயல், இசை, நாடக மன்றத் தலைவராக வாகை சந்திரசேகர் நியமனம்

• தமிழ்நாடு இயல், இசை, நாடக மன்றத்தின் தலைவரின் பதவிக் காலம் முடிவடைவதையடுத்து, அதன் புதிய தலைவராக வாகை சந்திரசேகரை நியமனம் செய்து தமிழக முதல்வர் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் ஆணையிட்டுள்ளார்.
• 1991ஆம் ஆண்டு, அப்போதைய தமிழக முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி, வாகை சந்திரசேகருக்கு இவரது நடிப்பாற்றலைப் பாராட்டி ‘கலைமாமணி விருது’ வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்தார்.
• அதோடுமட்டுமல்லாமல், 2003ஆம் ஆண்டு மத்திய அரசால் வழங்கப்படும் சிறந்த நடிகருக்கான ‘தேசிய விருது’ உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு விருதுகளைப் பெற்றவர் வாகை சந்திரசேகர்.

6. ‘Kalpana Chawla’ award for Dr. Shanmugapriya who died during corona prevention work

• Kalpana Chawla Award was given to Shanmugapriya, a pregnant woman who died during a corona prevention work in Madurai.
• On the 75^th Independence Day celebrations, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presented the award posthumously to her husband.

6. கரோனாவால் உயிரிழந்த மதுரை மருத்துவர் சண்முகப்பிரியாவுக்கு கல்பனா சாவ்லா விருது

• மதுரையில் கரோனா தடுப்புப் பணியின்போது உயிரிழந்த கா்ப்பிணி மருத்துவா் சண்முகபிரியாவுக்கு கல்பனா சாவ்லா விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• 75ஆவது சுதந்திர தின விழாவில் முதல்வா் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின், கல்பனா சாவ்லா விருதை அவரது கணவரிடம் வழங்கினாா்.

7. Vayu Sena Medal for two Air Force pilots

• The Vayu Sena Medal, awarded to the Air Force for its outstanding work, was awarded to Squadron Leader Deepak Mohanan and Wing Commandant Uttar Kumar.
• President Ram Nath Kovind presented these medals.

7. விமானப் படை விமானிகள் இருவருக்கு வாயு சேனா பதக்கம்

• விமானப் படையினரின் சிறப்பான பணிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் வாயு சேனா பதக்கம் ஸ்குவாட்ரான் லீடா் தீபக் மோகனன், விங் கமாண்டா் உத்தா் குமாா் ஆகியோருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• குடியரசுத் தலைவா் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் இந்தப் பதக்கங்களை வழங்கினாா்.

8. President’s Award for 24 Police Officers in Tamil Nadu

• The Union government has announced the President’s medal for 24 officers of the Tamil Nadu police.
• Vinit Dev Wankhede, Additional Director General of Police, State Crime Records Bureau, Chennai; and Jayavel, Commandant of Tamil Nadu Special Police X Battalion, Ulundurpet, have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service.
• Twenty-two other officers will receive the President’s Police Medal for meritorious service.

8. தமிழக காவல்துறையில் 24 பேருக்கு குடியரசுத் தலைவா் விருது

• தமிழக காவல்துறையின் 24 அதிகாரிகளுக்கு குடியரசுத் தலைவர் பதக்கத்தை மத்திய அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
• இதில் இந்திய குடியரசுத் தலைவரின் சிறப்பான பணிக்கான விருதுக்கு தமிழக காவல்துறையில் மாநில குற்ற ஆவண காப்பக ஏடிஜிபி வினித் தேவ் வான்கடே, உளுந்தூா்பேட்டை தமிழ்நாடு சிறப்புக் காவல் படை 10-ஆம் பணி கமாண்டன்ட் து. ஜெயவேல் ஆகியோா் தோ்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனா்.
• மேலும் 22 அதிகாரிகள் திறமையான சேவைக்காக ஜனாதிபதியின் காவல் விருது பெறுவார்கள்.

9. Award for officers who have excelled in the ‘Ungal Thokuthiyil Muthalvar’ project

• Various districts have excelled in handling ‘Ungal Thokuthiyil Muthalvar’ Thoothukudi, Ariyalur and Salem districts have secured the first three places.
• Chief Minister M. K. Stalin gave the award to Thoothukudi District Collector K. Senthilraj, Ariyalur Collector B. Ramana Saraswathi and Salem Collector Komegam.

9. ‘உங்கள் தொகுதியில் முதல்வா்’ திட்டத்தில் சிறப்பாகச் செயல்பட்ட அதிகாரிகளுக்கு விருது

• ‘உங்கள் தொகுதியில் முதல்வா்’ திட்ட மனுக்களை கையாள்வதில் பல்வேறு மாவட்டங்களும் சிறப்பாகச் செயல்பட்டுள்ளன. அதில், முதல் மூன்று இடங்களை தூத்துக்குடி, அரியலூா் மற்றும் சேலம் மாவட்டங்கள் பெற்றுள்ளன.
• தூத்துக்குடி ஆட்சியா் கே. செந்தில்ராஜ், அரியலூா் ஆட்சியா் பி. ரமண சரஸ்வதி, சேலம் ஆட்சியா் காா்மேகம் ஆகியோருக்கு முதல்வா் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் விருதுகளை வழங்கினார்.

10. Assistant Sub-Inspector in Jammu and Kashmir Babu Ram gets Ashoka Chakra award

• Assistant Sub-Inspector Babu Ram and Constable Altaf Hussain Bhat of Jammu and Kashmir Police were posthumously conferred the Ashoka Chakra and the Kirti Chakra awards respectively on the eve of the 75^th Independence Day.
• Ashoka Chakra is India’s highest peacetime gallantry honour, Kirti Chakra is the second in order of precedence of peacetime gallantry awards.

10. ஜம்மு காஷ்மீரில் துணை உதவி ஆய்வாளர் பாபு ராமருக்கு அசோகா சக்ரா விருது

• 75வது சுதந்திர தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு துணை உதவி ஆய்வாளர் பாபு ராம் மற்றும் ஜம்மு காஷ்மீர் காவல்துறையின் கான்ஸ்டபிள் அல்தாப் ஹுசைன் பட் ஆகியோருக்கு முறையே அசோகா சக்ரா மற்றும் கீர்த்தி சக்ரா விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
• ‘அசோக சக்ரா’ இந்தியாவின் மிக உயர்ந்த வீரதீரச் செயலுக்கான மரியாதையாகும், ‘கீர்த்தி சக்ரா’ வீரதீரச் செயலுக்கான இரண்டாவது உயரிய விருதான

11. Kaziranga becomes India’s first national park to be equipped with satellite phones

• Assam’s Kaziranga National Park (KNP) becomes the first national park in India to be equipped with satellite phones.
• The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) procured ten satellite phones for the National Park. BSNL will be the service provider.

11. செயற்கைக்கோள் தொலைபேசிகள் பொருத்தப்பட்ட இந்தியாவின் முதல் தேசிய பூங்கா – ‘காசிரங்கா’

• அசாமின் காசிரங்கா தேசிய பூங்கா (KNP) செயற்கைக்கோள் தொலைபேசிகள் பொருத்தப்பட்ட இந்தியாவின் முதல் தேசிய பூங்காவாக மாறியது.
• அசாம் மாநில பேரிடர் மேலாண்மை ஆணையம் (ASDMA) தேசிய பூங்காவுக்காக பத்து செயற்கைக்கோள் தொலைபேசிகளை வாங்கியுள்ளது. பி.எஸ்.என்.எல் (BSNL) சேவை வழங்குநராக இருக்கும்.
