1. National Pollution Prevention Day – 2 December

• National Pollution Prevention Day is observed annually on 2 December.
• It is observed in the memory of the people who lost their lives in the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. 
• The Bhopal Gas Tragedy is said to be one of the world’s worst industrial disasters to date. 
• This day is observed to make people and industries understand the importance of pollution control acts. 

1. தேசிய மாசு தடுப்பு தினம் – 2 டிசம்பர் 

• தேசிய மாசு தடுப்பு தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் 2 டிசம்பர் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• இது 1984இல் போபால் விஷவாயு பேரிட்ரால் உயிரிழந்த மக்களின் நினைவாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• போபால் விஷவாயு துயர சம்பவம் இன்று வரை உலகின் மிக மோசமான தொழில்துறை பேரழிவுகளில் ஒன்றாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது.
• மாசுக் கட்டுப்பாட்டுச் செயல்களின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை மக்களுக்கும் தொழில்துறையினருக்கும் புரிய வைப்பதற்காக இந்த நாள் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

2. International Day for the Abolition of Slavery – 2 December

• The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery is observed annually on 2 December.
• This day aims to eradicate all forms of slavery.
• The theme for International Day for the Abolition of Slavery 2021 is ‘Ending Slavery’s Legacy of Racism: A Global Imperative for Justice’.

2. அடிமைத்தனத்தை ஒழிப்பதற்கான சர்வதேச தினம் – 2 டிசம்பர் 

• அடிமைத்தனத்தை ஒழிப்பதற்கான சர்வதேச தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் 2 டிசம்பர் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• இந்நாள் அனைத்து வகையான அடிமைத்தனத்தையும் ஒழிப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
• 2021ஆம் ஆண்டு அடிமைத்தனத்தை ஒழிப்பதற்கான சர்வதேச தினத்தின் கருப்பொருள் ‘அடிமைத்தனத்தின் இனவெறியின் மரபை முடிவுக்கு கொண்டுவருதல் : நீதிக்கான உலகளாவிய கட்டாயம்’ என்பதாகும்.

3. World Computer Literacy Day – 2 December

• World Computer Literacy Day is observed on 2 December every year.
• This day is observed to raise awareness about the role of computers in our lives and enhance digital literacy in all communities across the world.
• This day is observed every year since 2001.
• The theme for World Computer Literacy Day 2021 is ‘Literacy for Human-Centered Recovery: Narrowing the Digital Divide’.

3. உலக கணினி எழுத்தறிவு தினம் – 2 டிசம்பர் 

• உலக கணினி எழுத்தறிவு தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 2 டிசம்பர் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• நம் வாழ்வில் கணினிகளின் பங்கு பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும், உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள அனைத்து சமூகங்களிலும் டிஜிட்டல் கல்வியறிவை மேம்படுத்தவும் இந்த நாள் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• இந்த தினம் 2001 முதல் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• 2021ஆம் ஆண்டின் உலக கணினி எழுத்தறிவு தினத்தின் கருப்பொருள் ‘மனிதனை மையப்படுத்திய மீட்சிக்கான எழுத்தறிவு: டிஜிட்டல் பிரிவை குறைத்தல்’ என்பதாகும்.

TAMIL NADU

4. A new facility is set introduced in Tamil Nadu to obtain the driving license and family card in the Digital form

• A Facility to obtain copies of the driving license and family card in digital form is set to be implemented soon in Tamil Nadu.
• A digital lock system is the process of issuance and verification of documents and certificates in digital form.
• For example, e-copies of driver’s license, voter ID cards, family cards and mark certificates can be issued to the public through this digital lock system.
• It will be more secure when sending it directly to the people’s digital Locker.

4. தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஓட்டுநா் உரிமம் மற்றும் குடும்ப அட்டை டிஜிட்டல் முறையில் பெற புதிய வசதி அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட உள்ளது

• தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஓட்டுநா் உரிமம் மற்றும் குடும்ப அட்டை ஆகியவற்றின் நகல்களை டிஜிட்டல் முறையில் பெறும் வசதி செயல்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளது.
• ஆவணங்கள் மற்றும் சான்றிதழ்களை டிஜிட்டல் முறைப்படி வழங்கவும், அவற்றைப் பாா்வையிட்டு சரி பாா்த்திடவும் வகை செய்வதே டிஜிட்டல் லாக்கா் முறையாகும்.
• உதாரணத்துக்கு, வாகன ஓட்டுநா் உரிமம், வாக்காளா் அடையாள அட்டைகள், குடும்ப அட்டைகள் மற்றும் மதிப்பெண் சான்றிதழ்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் மின்னணு நகல்களை மக்களுக்கு இந்த டிஜிட்டல் லாக்கா் முறை மூலமாக வழங்கிடலாம். 
• இதனை பொதுமக்களின்  டிஜிட்டல் லாக்கருக்கு நேரடியாக அனுப்பும் போது அது மிகவும் பாதுகாப்பான முறையில் இருக்கும்.

5. Fort St. George Assembly Hall is being modernised after 100 years

• After 100 years in Tamil Nadu, the Assembly Hall at Fort St. George is being modernised.
• The Work has begun to create a paperless assembly.
• Fort St. George is the first English fortress in India that was founded in 1639.

5. 100 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு நவீனமாகிறது புனித ஜாா்ஜ் கோட்டை பேரவைக் கூடம்

• தமிழ்நாட்டில் 100 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு, புனித ஜாா்ஜ் கோட்டையில் உள்ள பேரவைக் கூடம் நவீனமயமாகிறது. 
• காகிதமில்லாத அவையை உருவாக்குவதற்கான பணிகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. 
• புனித ஜாா்ஜ் கோட்டை 1639இல் நிறுவப்பட்ட இந்தியாவின் முதல் ஆங்கிலேய கோட்டை ஆகும்.

NATIONAL

6. Varanasi will become the first Indian city to start a ropeway service

• Varanasi will soon become the first Indian city to start ropeway service as a mode of public transport. 
• This proposed ropeway will be constructed between Cantt Railway Station (Varanasi Junction) to Church Square (Godauliya) to ease the traffic congestion.
• It will cover a distance of 3.45 km and the cost of the project is ₹400 crores.

• Around 4,000 people will be able to travel in one direction at a time.

6. ரோப்வே சேவையை தொடங்கிய முதல் இந்திய நகரமாக வாரணாசி மாற இருக்கிறது

• பொதுப் போக்குவரத்து முறையாக ரோப்வே சேவையைத் தொடங்கும் முதல் இந்திய நகரமாக வாரணாசி விரைவில் மாற இருக்கிறது.
• இந்த முன்மொழியப்பட்ட ரோப்வே போக்குவரத்து நெரிசலைக் குறைக்க கன்ட் ரயில் நிலையம் (வாரணாசி சந்திப்பு) முதல் சர்ச் சதுக்கம் (கோடவுலியா) இடையே அமைக்கப்படும்.
• இது 3.45 கி.மீ. தூரத்தை இணைக்கிறது மற்றும் இத்திட்டத்தின் செலவு ₹400 கோடி.
• ஒரே நேரத்தில் 4,000 பேர் ஒரே திசையில் இதில் பயணிக்க முடியும்.

   Kerala Tourism is set to launch the ‘STREET’ project for tourism

• Kerala Tourism will launch the ‘STREET‘ project in select spots in seven districts of Kerala.
• In the first phase, this project would be implemented in Kozhikode, Palakkad, Kannur, Kottayam, Kasaragod, Idukki and Wayanad.
• The STREET is an acronym for ‘Sustainable Tangible Responsible Experiential Ethnic Tourism’ hubs. 

7. கேரள சுற்றுலாத்துறை சுற்றுலாவுக்கான ‘ஸ்ட்ரீட்’ (‘STREET’) திட்டத்தை தொடங்க உள்ளது

• கேரளாவின் ஏழு மாவட்டங்களில் கேரளா சுற்றுலாத்துறை தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட இடங்களில் ‘ஸ்ட்ரீட்’ (‘STREET’) திட்டத்தை தொடங்க உள்ளது.
• முதல் கட்டமாக கோழிக்கோடு, பாலக்காடு, கண்ணூர், கோட்டயம், காசர்கோடு, இடுக்கி மற்றும் வயநாடு ஆகிய இடங்களில் இத்திட்டம் செயல்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளது.
• ஸ்ட்ரீட் (STREET) என்பது நிலையான, உறுதியான, பொறுப்பான, அனுபவமிக்க இன, சுற்றுலா மையங்களின் சுருக்கமாகும்.

8. Nagaland Police launches ‘Call Your Cop’ mobile application

• Nagaland Police launched a mobile application called ‘Call Your Cop’, which will allow citizens to get in touch with police personnel on duty.
• The application was initiated under the aegis of IGP (CID) and team with the help of Excellogics Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd.  
• It provides a quick dialer provision for citizens to call the police during emergencies or make other enquiries. 

8. நாகாலாந்து காவல்துறை ‘கால் யுர் காப்’ (‘Call Your Cop’) என்ற மொபைல் செயலியை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது

• நாகாலாந்து காவல்துறை பணியில் இருக்கும் காவல்துறை அதிகாரிகளுடன் மக்கள் தொடர்புகொள்ள ‘கால் யுர் காப்’ (‘Call Your Cop’) என்ற மொபைல் செயலியை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.
• இந்த செயலி ஐஜிபி (சிஐடி) மற்றும் குழுவின் கீழ் எக்செலோஜிக்ஸ் டெக் சொல்யூஷன்ஸ் பிரைவேட் லிமிடெட் உதவியுடன் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
• அவசர காலங்களில் அல்லது பிற விசாரணைகளின் போது மக்கள் காவலர்களை விரைவாக அழைப்பதற்கான ஏற்பாட்டை இந்த செயலி வழங்குகிறது.

9. State Literacy Award was presented to 111 learning centres in Tamil Nadu

• State Literacy Award was presented to 111 learning centres across Tamil Nadu by the Tamil Nadu Minister of School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi.
• This award is given to centres that execute the tasks of the Learn and Write movement, which are implemented by the Non-School and Adult Education Movement on behalf of the Tamil Nadu School Education Department.

9. தமிழ்நாட்டிலுள்ள 111 கற்போர் மைங்களுக்கு மாநில எழுத்தறிவு விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது

• தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்ட 111 கற்போர் மைங்களுக்கு மாநில எழுத்தறிவு விருது தமிழ்நாடு பள்ளிக்கல்வித் துறை அமைச்சர் அன்பில் மகேஷ் பொய்யாமொழியால் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• தமிழ்நாடு பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை சார்பில் பள்ளி சாரா மற்றும் வயதுவந்தோர் கல்வி இயக்கத்தின் மூலம் செயல்படுத்தப்படும் கற்போம், எழுதுவோம் இயக்கத்தின் பணிகளை செம்மையாகச் செயல்படுத்தும் மையங்களுக்கு இந்த விருது வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

10. Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta takes over as the Flag Officer Commanding-In-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command

• Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta assumed charge as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command.
• He was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1985.
• He is a recipient of the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and the Vishisht Seva Medal for distinguished service.
• He was also awarded the Yudh Seva Medal for coordinating evacuation operations from strife-torn Yemen in 2015 under Operation Raahat. 

10. துணை அட்மிரல் பிஸ்வஜித் தாஸ்குப்தா கிழக்கு கடற்படை கட்டளையின் தலைமை தளபதி கொடி அதிகாரியாகப் பதவியேற்றார்

• துணை அட்மிரல் பிஸ்வஜித் தாஸ்குப்தா கிழக்கு கடற்படை கட்டளையின் தலைமை தளபதி கொடி அதிகாரியாகப் பொறுப்பேற்றார்.
• அவர் 1985இல் இந்திய கடற்படையில் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.
• அவர் சிறப்பான சேவைக்காக அதி விஷிஷ்ட் சேவா பதக்கம் மற்றும் விஷிஷ்ட் சேவா பதக்கத்தை பெற்றவர்.

11. Anju Bobby George wins the Woman of Year Award by the World Athletics

• Legendary Indian athlete Anju Bobby George was bestowed with the Woman of the Year Award by the World Athletics for grooming talent in India and for her advocacy of gender equality.
• She is the only Indian to have won a bronze medal in long jump event at the World Athletics Championships in 2003.
•  அஞ்சு பாபி ஜார்ஜ் உலக தடகளத்தின் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த பெண் விருதை வென்றார்

• புகழ்பெற்ற இந்திய தடகள வீராங்கனையான அஞ்சு பாபி ஜார்ஜ், இந்தியாவில் திறமைகளை வளர்த்ததற்காகவும், பாலின சமத்துவத்தை ஆதரித்ததற்காகவும் உலக தடகளத்தால் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த பெண் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
