1. Budget session

• The budget session starts on January 29 and it includes Question hour that has been suspended during the monsoon session.
• The first hour of every Parliamentary sitting is known as “Question hour”.

1. பட்ஜெட் கூட்டத்தொடர்

• பட்ஜெட் கூட்டத்தொடர் ஜனவரி 29-ம் தேதி தொடங்குகிறது. இதில் மழைக்கால கூட்டத்தொடரின்போது ஒத்திவைக்கப்பட்ட கேள்வி நேரமும் அடங்கும்.
• ஒவ்வொரு பாராளுமன்ற அமர்வின் முதல் ஒரு மணி நேரம் “கேள்வி நேரம்” என அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

2. 75% cutoff removed

• Persons who scored less than 75% in the 12^th standard will also be allowed to take the JEE-Mains test.
• Already this provision is available for JEE-Advanced.
• So, a just pass in 12^th standard is enough for students to take part in the exam.

2. 75% தகுதி மதிப்பெண் நீக்கம்

• 12 ஆம் வகுப்பில் 75% க்கும் குறைவாக மதிப்பெண் எடுத்தவர்களும் இனி JEE-மெயின் (முதன்மை (Mains)) பரீட்சைக்கு அனுமதிக்கப்படுவர்.
• ஏற்கனவே இந்த ஏற்பாடு JEE- அட்வான்ஸ்(Advanced) பரீட்சைக்கு நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது.
• எனவே, தேர்வில் பங்கேற்க, மாணவர்கள் 12 ஆம் வகுப்பில் தேர்ச்சி மட்டும் பெற்றிருந்தாலே போதுமானது.

3. Kiren Rijiju

• Kiren Rijiju, the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs has been now given the additional charge of the Ministry of Ayush.
• Minister of Ayush, Shripad Yesso Naik was currently undergoing treatment.

• It is a Long-range air defence system.
• It is being imported from Russia.
• Training for military personnels will be held in Moscow.

5. Vaccines to neighbours

• Bhutan will be the first to receive Covid-19 vaccines from India.
• Other countries that will receive the vaccines this week are Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Seychelles.
• Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Mauritius are waiting for regulatory clearances.

5. அண்டை நாடுகளுக்கு தடுப்பூசி

• இந்தியாவிலிருந்து கோவிட்-19 தடுப்பூசிகளை பெறும் முதல் நாடு பூட்டான் ஆகும்.
• இந்த வாரம் மாலத்தீவு, வங்கதேசம், நேபாளம், மியான்மர், செஷல்லிஸ் ஆகிய மற்ற நாடுகளும் தடுப்பூசிகள் பெறவுள்ளன.
• ஆப்கானிஸ்தான், இலங்கை மற்றும் மொரீஷியஸ் நாடுகள் ஒழுங்குமுறை அனுமதிக்காக காத்திருக்கின்றன.

6. CRICKET

• India won Australia at Brisbane’s Gabba ground in a Test series at 2-1.
• India broke the 69 year-old record at the ground set by Australia at 236/7 to beat West Indies in 1951 by scoring 329/7.
• No one has defeated Australia in Gabba ground in the past 32 years.

6. கிரிக்கெட்

• பிரிஸ்பேன் காபா மைதானத்தில் நடைபெற்ற டெஸ்ட் தொடரில் 2-1 என்ற கணக்கில் ஆஸ்திரேலியாவை இந்தியா வென்றது.
• இம்மைதானத்தில் மேற்கிந்தியாவை வீழ்த்தி, ஆஸ்திரேலியா 236/7 என்ற நிலையில் செய்திருந்த மிகப்பெரிய 69 ஆண்டுகால சாதனையை இந்தியா 329/7 என்ற கணக்கில் முறியடித்தது.
• கடந்த 32 ஆண்டுகளாக காபா மைதானத்தில் யாரும் ஆஸ்திரேலியாவை தோற்கடித்ததில்லை.

7. NH 45-A

• Villupuram – Nagapattinam national highway stay was released by Supreme Court.
• Madras High Court stayed the project asking for environmental clearance.
• But Supreme Court said there is no need for clearances as the acquisition is not more than 40 m on existing alignment and 60m on realignment.

7. தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலை 45-ஏ

• விழுப்புரம் – நாகப்பட்டினம் தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலை விதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த தடையை உச்ச நீதிமன்றம் விடுவித்தது.
• சுற்றுச்சூழல் அனுமதி கேட்டு சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றம் இந்த திட்டத்திற்கு தடை விதித்தது.
• ஆனால் உச்ச நீதிமன்றம் சுற்றுச்சூழல் அனுமதிகள் தேவையில்லை என்று கூறியது. ஏனெனில் கையகப்படுத்தல் இருக்கும் சீரமைப்பு மீது 40 மீ மற்றும் மறுசீரமைப்பு மீது 60 மீ விட அதிகமாக இல்லை என்பதாகும்.

8. 15^th India Digital summit was held in New Delhi.

8. Lakshwadeep has reported its first Covid-19 case.

8. Tamilnadu and Punjab register poor vaccine coverage in India at 27.6% and 34.9% respectively, according to Health Ministry.
9. தமிழ்நாடு மற்றும் பஞ்சாப் ஆகியவை முறையே 27.6% மற்றும் 34.9% என இந்தியாவில் மிக குறைந்த தடுப்பூசி ஊடுறுவலை பதிவு செய்துள்ளன என சுகாதார அமைச்சகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

8. Parakram Diwas

• The year of the birth of Subhash Chandra Bose – January 23,  1897
• Union Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel announced that 23rd January, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, will be observed as Parakram Diwas every year .
• This year marks his 125th birthday.
• The first Parakram Diwas was then organised in Kolkata, West Bengal on his birthday.
• Subhas Chandra Bose was elected as the President of the Congress party at the Congress Conference held in Haripura in Surat district of Gujarat in 1938.

11. தேசிய வலிமை தினம்

• சுபாஷ் சந்திர போஸ் பிறந்த ஆண்டு – ஜனவரி 23, 1897
• நேதாஜி சுபாஷ் சந்திர போஸ் பிறந்த தினமான ஜனவரி 23 ஆண்டுதோறும் தேசிய வலிமை தினமாக கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படும் என்று மத்திய கலாசார துறை அமைச்சர் பிரகலாத் சிங் படேல் அறிவித்தார்.
• இந்த ஆண்டு அவரின் 125-ஆவது பிறந்த தினம் கொண்டாடப்படவுள்ளது.
• இதைத்தொடர்ந்து அவரின் பிறந்த தினத்தன்று மேற்கு வங்க மாநிலம் கொல்கத்தாவில் முதலாவது வலிமை தின ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• 1938 – ஆம் ஆண்டு குஜராத் மாநிலம் சூரத் மாவட்டம் ஹரிபுராவில் நடைபெற்ற காங்கிரஸ் மாநாட்டில் சுபாஷ் சந்திரா போஸ் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தலைவராக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.

12. Union Home Minister Amit Shah to launch Ayushman Health Programme for Central Paramilitary Forces in Assam.

• Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme launched by PM Modi in September  2018 .

• ஆயுஷ்மான் பாரத் மருத்துவக் காப்பீட்டுத் திட்டம் – செப்டம்பர் 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு பிரதமர் மோடியால் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

13. Bharat Biotech, Hyderabad, Telangana has developed a nose-transmitted corona vaccine.

• The Central Drug Quality Control Organisation (CDSCO) has approved its preliminary testing.

13. தெலுங்கானா மாநிலம் ஹைதராபாதில் இயங்கி வரும் பாரத் பயோடெக் நிறுவனம் மூக்கு வழியாக செலுத்தும் கரோனா தடுப்பு மருந்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது.

• அதன் முதல்கட்ட பரிசோதனைக்கு மத்திய மருந்து தரக்கட்டுப்பாட்டு அமைப்பு (சிடிஎஸ்சிஓ) அனுமதியளித்துள்ளது.

14. Budget session of Parliament begins on 29^th

• 2021-2022 Budget to be presented on February 1.

15. Serum has also announced that people who are severely allergic to the ingredients in the Covishield vaccine should not be injected.

• Bharat Biotech has advised patients with fever and pregnant women not to administer Covaxin vaccine.

15. கோவிஷீல்டு தடுப்பூசியில் உள்ள மூலப்பொருள்களால் கடுமையான ஒவ்வாமைக்கு ஆளாகக் கூடியவர்கள் அந்தத் தடுப்பூசியை செலுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டாம் என்று சீரம் நிறுவனம் அறிவித்துள்ளது.

• காய்ச்சலால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டோர், கர்ப்பிணிகள் கோவேக்ஸிலின் தடுப்பூசியை செலுத்த வேண்டாம் என்று பாரத் பையோடெக் நிறுவனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

16. Railway officials said the Velachery – St Thomas flying train project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.

• In 1985, it was planned to construct a flying train project in Chennai.

16. வேளச்சேரி – பரங்கிமலை பறக்கும் ரயில் திட்டப்பணிகள் 18 மாதத்துக்குள் முடிக்க திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளதாக ரயில்வே துறை அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

• 1985 ஆம் ஆண்டு – சென்னையில் பறக்கும் ரயில் திட்டத்தை அமைக்க திட்டமிடப்பட்டது.

17. On behalf of Chennai Railway Division, the rental parcel cargo freight train service from Rayapuram to Delhi Patel city was started on January 17.

• Chennai Railway Manager Mahesh launched the new train service.

17. சென்னை ரயில்வே கோட்டம் சார்பில், ராயபுரத்தில் இருந்து தில்லி படேல் நகருக்கு வாடகை பார்சல் கார்கோ சரக்கு ரயில் சேவை கடந்த ஜனவரி 17 அன்று தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• சென்னை ரயில்வே கோட்ட மேலாளர் பி.மகேஷ் இப்புதிய ரயில் சேவையை தொடங்கிவைத்தார்.

19. Joe Biden to take over as US President on January 20 .

• He is the 46^th President of the United States.
• Kamala Harris of Indian origin is taking over as vice president.
