TAMIL NADU

1. Terracotta distillation pipes were unearthed in Korkai

  • Perforated terracotta distillation pipes, stacked one above the other, have been excavated at Korkai in the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu.
  • Robert Caldwell first conducted archaeological excavation in Korkai in 1876. Korkai was a port of the Pandya Kingdom.

 

1. சுடுமண் வடித்தல் குழாய்கள் கொற்கையில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன

  • துளைத்த சுடுமண் வடிகட்டும் குழாய்கள், ஒன்றன் மேல் ஒன்றாக அடுக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. அவை தமிழ்நாட்டின் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள கொற்கையில் அகழ்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
  • ராபர்ட் கால்டுவெல் முதன்முதலில் 1876இல் கொற்கையில் தொல்லியல் அகழ்வாராய்ச்சியை நடத்தினார். கொற்கை பாண்டிய அரசின் துறைமுகமாக இருந்தது.

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

2. Scientists spot moon-forming region around an exoplanet for the first time

  • Scientists, for the first time, have spotted a moon-forming region around a Jupiter-like exoplanet revolving around a star, PDS 70.
  • The exoplanet was surrounded by a disc of gas and dust known as the circumplanetary disc, from which moons are born. This exoplanet is located approximately 370 light-years from the Earth.
  • ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter Array) observatory in Chile’s Atacama Desert detected the disc of swirling material.

 

2. விஞ்ஞானிகள் முதல் முறையாக ஒரு புறக்கோளைச் சுற்றி நிலவு உருவாகும் பகுதியை கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளனர்

  • விஞ்ஞானிகள் முதல் முறையாக பிடிஎஸ் 70 என்னும் நட்சத்திரத்தை சுற்றி சுழலும் ஒரு வியாழன் போன்ற புறக்கோளைச் சுற்றி ஒரு நிலவு உருவாகும் பகுதியைக் கண்டுபிடித்துளள்ளனர்.
  • அந்த புறக்கோள், வாயு மற்றும் தூசி வட்டத்தால் சூழப்பட்டிருந்தது. இது சுற்றுகிரக வட்டு என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. அதிலிருந்து நிலவுகள் பிறக்கின்றன. இந்த புறக்கோள் பூமியில் இருந்து சுமார் 370 ஒளி ஆண்டுகள் தூரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

3. India becomes the 4th largest forex reserves holder globally

  • India became the 4th largest forex reserves holder globally with $612.73 billion.
  • The growth in foreign exchange reserves was largely due to an increase in Foreign Currency Assets (FCA).
  • China has the largest reserves, followed by Japan and Switzerland. India has overtaken Russia to become the fourth largest country.

  • வெளிநாட்டு நாணயச் சொத்துக்களின் அதிகரிப்பு (FCA) காரணமாக அந்நியச் செலாவணி கையிருப்பு வளர்ச்சி ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • உலகில் சீனா மிகப்பெரிய இருப்புக்களை கொண்டுள்ளது. அதைத் தொடர்ந்து ஜப்பான் மற்றும் சுவிட்சர்லாந்து உள்ளது. நான்காவது பெரிய நாடாக ரஷ்யாவை இந்தியா முந்தியுள்ளது.

NATIONAL

4. INS Tabar participates in the Navy Day celebrations of the Russian Navy as a goodwill visit

  • Indian Naval Ship Tabar reached Petersburg as part of a five-day goodwill visit to Russia. INS Tabar participated in the 325th Navy Day celebrations of the Russian Navy (25 July).
  • INS Tabar is a Talwar-class stealth frigate and forms part of the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet, which is the Western Naval Command, Mumbai. The ship was built for the Indian Navy in Russia and was commissioned at Petersburg in April 2004.

 

4. ஐஎன்எஸ் தபார் ஒரு நல்லெண்ண விஜயமாக ரஷ்ய கடற்படையின் கடற்படை தின கொண்டாட்டங்களில் பங்கேற்கிறது

  • ஐந்து நாள் நல்லெண்ணப் பயணத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இந்திய கடற்படை கப்பல் தபார் செயின்ட் பீட்டர்ஸ்பர்க்கை அடைந்தது. ரஷ்ய கடற்படையின் 325வது கடற்படை தின கொண்டாட்டங்களில் ஐஎன்எஸ் தபார் பங்கேற்கிறது (25 ஜூலை).

5. Ramappa Temple of Telangana becomes a UNESCO World Heritage site

  • Ramappa Temple of Telangana became a 39th UNESCO World Heritage site of India.
  • The Rudreswara Temple, also known as the Ramappa Temple, was constructed in 1213 AD by Ramappa, an architect during the Kakatiya Dynasty. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

 

5. தெலுங்கானாவின் ராமப்பா கோவில் யுனெஸ்கோவின் உலக பாரம்பரிய தளமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது

  • தெலுங்கானாவின் ராமப்பா கோவில் இந்தியாவின் 39வது யுனெஸ்கோ உலக பாரம்பரிய தளமாக ஆகியுள்ளது.
  • ராமப்பா கோவில் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படும் ருத்ரேஸ்வரா கோவில், கி.பி 1213இல் காகத்திய வம்ச ஆட்சியின் போது கட்டிடக் கலைஞரான ராமப்பாவால் கட்டப்பட்டது. இது சிவன் வழிபாட்டுத் தலம் ஆகும்.

6. Kerala vertenarian John Abraham got patent for biodiesel technology from chicken waste

  • Kerala Vertenarian John Abraham got a patent for biodiesel technology from broiler chicken. He was recently awarded NITI Aayog’s ‘Atal India Challenge’ award for this innovation.

 

6. கேரளா கால்நடை மருத்துவர் ஜான் ஆபிரகாம் கோழி கழிவுகளிலிருந்து பயோடீசல் தயாரிக்கும் தொழில்நுட்பத்திற்கான காப்புரிமை பெற்றுள்ளார்

  • கேரளா கால்நடை மருத்துவரான ஜான் ஆபிரகாம் பிராய்லர் கோழியிலிருந்து பயோடீசல் தயாரிக்கும் தொழில்நுட்பத்திற்கான காப்புரிமை பெற்றார். இந்த கண்டுபிடிப்புக்காக ஆபிரகாமுக்கு சமீபத்தில் நிதி ஆயோக்கின் ‘அடல் இந்தியா சேலஞ்ச்‘ விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

7. Priya Malik wins gold medal at the World Cadet Championship 2021

  • Indian junior wrestler Priya Malik won a gold medal in the 73 kg category at the Cadet World Championship 2021 held in Budapest, Hungary. She had won gold at the Khelo India Youth Games in Pune in 2019.
  • Jaskaran Singh won a silver medal in the 60 kg freestyle category.
  • The World Cadet Championship is a tournament where the best Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Women wrestlers worldwide below the age of 17

 

7. உலக கேடட் சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பில் 2021இல் 2021 பிரியா மாலிக் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்

  • ஹங்கேரியின் புடாபெஸ்டில் நடைபெற்ற கேடட் உலக சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பில் 73 கிலோ எடைப் பிரிவில் இந்திய ஜூனியர் மல்யுத்த வீராங்கனை பிரியா மாலிக் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்றார். அவர் 2019ஆம் ஆண்டில் புனேவில் நடந்த கேலோ இந்தியா இளைஞர் விளையாட்டுக்களில் தங்கம் வென்றிருந்தார்.
  • 60 கிலோ ஃப்ரீஸ்டைல் பிரிவில் ஜஸ்கரன் சிங் வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் வென்றார்.

8. Nishiya Momiji becomes the first-ever Olympic women’s street skateboarding champion

  • Japan’s Nishiya Momiji won the gold medal at the first-ever Olympic women’s street skateboard competition for women at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
  • She has become the second youngest (13 years and 330 days) Olympic medal recipient after Marjorie Gestring (13 years and 203 days).

 

8. நிஷியா மோமிஜி முதல் ஒலிம்பிக் பெண்கள் வீதி ஸ்கேட்போர்டு சாம்பியனாகியுள்ளார்

  • 2020 டோக்கியோ ஒலிம்பிக் விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளில் பெண்களுக்கான முதல் வீதி ஸ்கேட்போர்டு போட்டியில் ஜப்பானின் நிஷியா மோமிஜி வெற்றி பெற்று தங்கப் பதக்கம் பெற்றார்.
  • அவர் மார்ஜோரி கெஸ்ட்ரிங் (13 ஆண்டுகள் மற்றும் 203 நாட்கள்)க்குப் பிறகு இரண்டாவது இளைய வயது (13 ஆண்டுகள் மற்றும் 330 நாட்கள்) ஒலிம்பிக் பதக்கம் வென்றவராகியுள்ளார்.

9. Bhavani Devi becomes the first Indian fencer to win a match in the Olympics

  • Bhavani Devi became the first Indian fencer to win a match in the Olympic games. She defeated Tunisia’s Nadia Ben Azizi in the match.
  • She lost a medal in the game as she lost to France’s Manon Brunet.

 

9. ஒலிம்பிக்கில் வாள்வீச்சு போட்டியில் வென்ற முதல் இந்திய வாள்வீச்சு வீரங்கனை ஆனார் பவானி தேவி

  • ஒலிம்பிக் போட்டிகளில் ஒரு வாள்வீச்சு போட்டியில் வென்ற முதல் இந்திய வாள்வீச்சு வீரங்கனை என்ற பெருமை பெற்றார் பவானி தேவி. இந்த போட்டியில் அவர் துனிசியாவின் நாடியா பென் அசிசியை வீழ்த்தினார்.
  • பிரான்சின் மனோன் ப்ரூனெட்டிடம் தோற்றதால் அவர் வாள்வீச்சு விளையாட்டில் பதக்கத்தை இழந்தார்.

10. Kargil Vijay Diwas – 26 July

  • Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated annually on 26 July to mark the success of Operation Vijay in the Kargil War in 1999. This year (2021) marks the 22nd anniversary of the Kargil War.
  • A trailer of the movie Shersha based on Kargil War hero, Param Veer Chakra Captain Vikram Batra was released.

 

10. கார்கில் விஜய் திவாஸ் – 26 ஜூலை

  • ஆண்டுதோறும் 26 ஜூலை அன்று கார்கில் போரின் ஆபரேஷன் விஜய்யின் வெற்றியைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில் கார்கில் விஜய் திவாஸ் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு (2021) கார்கில் போரின் 22வது ஆண்டு நிறைவைக் குறிக்கிறது.
  • கார்கில் போர் நாயகன் பரம் வீர் சக்ரா கேப்டன் விக்ரம் பத்ராவின் வாழ்க்கையை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட ஷெர்ஷா திரைப்பட டிரெய்லர் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.

11. National Parents’ Day – 25 July

  • National Parents’ Day is observed on the fourth Sunday of July. This year (2021) the day falls on 25 July. This day aims to appreciate the efforts of parents and their lifelong sacrifice.
  • This day was started by US President Bill Clinton in 1994.

  • ஜூலை நான்காம் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை, தேசிய பெற்றோர்கள் தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு (2021) இந்நாள், 25 ஜூலை அன்று வருகிறது. பெற்றோரின் முயற்சிகளையும் அவர்களின் வாழ்நாள் தியாகத்தையும் பாராட்டுவதை இந்த நாள் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்த நாள் அமெரிக்க ஜனாதிபதி பில் கிளின்டனால் 1994இல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
