1. Italy joined International Solar Alliance under the amended Framework Agreement

• Italy joined the International Solar Alliance (ISA) under the new amended framework. The new amendment opened ISA membership to all member states of the UN.

International Solar Alliance (ISA)

• ISA was inaugurated jointly by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in 2015 at the UN Climate Change Conference COP21 in Paris.
• ISA aims at contributing to the mass deployment of Solar energy.
• Earlier, the membership was open only to the countries lying partially or fully between Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. Now the framework has been amended to include all the member states of UN. This was initiated at the first general assembly of ISA in 2018 by Prime Minister Modi.

1. இத்தாலி திருத்தப்பட்ட கட்டமைப்பு ஒப்பந்தத்தின் கீழ் சர்வதேச சூரியசக்தி கூட்டமைப்பில் இணைந்தது

சர்வதேச சூரியசக்தி கூட்டமைப்பு (ISA)

• சர்வதேச சூரியசக்தி கூட்டமைப்பை ஐ.நா.வின் 2015 ஆம் ஆண்டு பாரிஸில் காலநிலை மாற்ற மாநாடு COP21இல் இந்திய பிரதம மந்திரியும் பிரெஞ்சு கூட்டாக தொடங்கி வைத்தனர்.
• சூரிய சக்தியின் வெகுஜன பயன்பாட்டிற்கு பங்களிப்பது இதன் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.
• முன்னதாக, பகுதியாகவோ உள்ள நாடுகளுக்கு மட்டுமே உறுப்பினராவதற்கான தகுதி இருந்தது. இப்போது ஐ.நா.வின் அனைத்து உறுப்பு நாடுகளுக்கும் இதனை விரிவுபடுத்த சட்டதிருத்தம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது . 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டு சர்வதேச சூரியசக்தி கூட்டமைப்பின் முதல் பொதுச் சபையில் பிரதமர் மோடியால் இம்முயற்சி தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

2. Health Minister Harsh Vardhan is appointed as Chairman of “Stop TB Partnership” Board

• Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Harsh Vardhan has been appointed as the Chairman of the International body “Stop TB Partnership” Board.
• He was appointed to recognise his outstanding contribution to the movement ‘To eradicate Tuberculosis from India by 2025’. He will serve a three-year term, commencing from July 2021.

“Stop TB Partnership”

• The “Stop TB Partnership” is a unique international body with the power to align actors all over the world in the fight against TB. It was established in the year 2000. It is mandated to eliminate Tuberculosis as a public health problem.
• It aims to create a TB-free world.

National TB elimination Programme

• It is a centrally sponsored scheme.
• India is committed to eliminate TB by 2025, five years ahead of the WHO timeline.
• Annual TB Report 2020 of Union Health Ministry reported 20.04 lakh notified TB patients in 2019 in India, which is a 14% increase from 2018.

2. சுகாதார அமைச்சர் ஹர்ஷ் வர்தன் ” ஸ்டாப் TB பார்ட்னர்ஷிப்” வாரியத்தின் தலைவராக நியமனம்

• மத்திய சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் குடும்ப நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் ஹர்ஷ் வர்தன் சர்வதேச அமைப்பான ” ஸ்டாப் TB பார்ட்னர்ஷிப்” (“Stop TB Partnership”) வாரியத்தின் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
• ‘இந்தியாவில் இருந்து காசநோயை 2025க்குள் ஒழிக்க வேண்டும்‘என்ற இயக்கத்திற்கு இவர் ஆற்றிய சிறந்த பங்களிப்பைக் கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில் அவர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். அவர் ஜூலை 2021 முதல் மூன்று ஆண்டு காலம் பதவி வகிப்பார்.

ஸ்டாப் TB பார்ட்னர்ஷிப்” (“Stop TB Partnership” )

• “ஸ்டாப் TB பார்ட்னர்ஷிப்” என்பது உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள ஆர்வலர்களை TBக்கு எதிரான போராட்டத்தில் ஒருங்கிணைக்கும் ஒரு தனித்துவமான சர்வதேச அமைப்பாகும். 2000ஆம் ஆண்டில் இது தொடங்கப்பட்டது. பொது சுகாதார பிரச்சனையான காசநோயை ஒழிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே இதன் முக்கிய கட்டளையாகும்.
• காசநோய் இல்லா உலகத்தை உருவாகுவதே இதன் நோக்கமாகும்.

தேசிய காசநோய் ஒழித்தல் திட்டம்

• இது மத்திய அரசின் நிதியுதவி வழங்கப்படும் திட்டமாகும்.
• உலக சுகாதார மையத்தின் காலக்கெடுவிற்கு ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னதாகவே, 2025ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குள் காசநோயை ஒழிக்க இந்தியா, உறுதி பூண்டுள்ளது.
• 2020 காசநோய் ஆண்டறிக்கையில் 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவில்04 இலட்சம் காச நோயாளிகள் இருப்பதாக மத்திய சுகாதாரத் துறை தெரிவித்துள்ளது. இது 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து 14% அதிகரிப்பாகும்.

3. Golden jubilee of Bangladesh liberation and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib centenary

• 26 March marks the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh liberation (1971).
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his birthday, said that he was a champion of human rights and freedom and he is a hero for all Indians too.
• Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Bangladesh on a two-day visit to take part in the celebrations on 26 March.

3. வங்காள சுதந்திரத்தின் பொன்விழா மற்றும் வங்கபந்து ஷேக் முஜிபுர் ரஹ்மானின் நூற்றாண்டு

• 26 மார்ச் வங்கதேச விடுதலையின் (1971) பொன்விழாவாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
• வங்கபந்து ஷேக் முஜிபுர் ரஹ்மானின் பிறந்தநாளில் (17 மார்ச் 2021) பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி அவருக்கு புகழஞ்சலி செலுத்தியுள்ளார். “மனித உரிமைகளுக்காகவும், சுதந்திரத்திற்காகவும் பாடுபட்ட அருந்தலைவர் வங்கபந்து ஷேக் முஜிபுர் ரஹ்மான் என்றும் அவர் அனைத்து இந்தியர்களுக்கும் ஒரு நாயகனாகத் திகழ்கிறார் என்றும் கூறினார்.
• இவ்விழாவுக்காக 26 மார்ச் அன்று பிரதமர் மோடி இரண்டு நாள் பயணமாக பங்களாதேஷூக்கு செல்கிறார்.

4. Ethanol blending in Petrol to be increased from existing 8.5% to 20% by 2025

• Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed that the target year for achieving 20 per cent ethanol blending in petrol which was initially kept as 2030 has been further reduced by 5 more years as 2025.
• Responding to supplementary questions in Rajya Sabha, Mr. Pradhan asserted that the initiative will not only to a great extent save the country from the burden of importing fuel oil but will also provide a sustainable income model for many farmers.
• He said a large amount of procurement will be done from the farmers across the country in order to achieve the required target of ethanol production.

4. பெட்ரோலில் எத்தனால் கலப்பது 2025ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள் தற்போதுள்ள 8.5% இலிருந்து 20% ஆக அதிகரிக்கப்பட உள்ளது

• பெட்ரோலில் 20 சதவீதம் எத்தனால் கலப்பதின் காலக்கெடுவை முன்னர் இருந்த 2030இல் இருந்து 5 ஆண்டுகள் குறைத்து 2025ஆக மாற்றியிருப்பதாக மத்திய பெட்ரோலிய அமைச்சர் தர்மேந்திர பிரதான் தெரிவித்தார்.
• மாநிலங்களவையில் துணைக் கேள்விகளுக்கு பதிலளித்த திரு. பிரதான், இந்த முன்முயற்சி எரிபொருள் எண்ணெய் இறக்குமதி செய்யும் சுமையிலிருந்து நாட்டை பெருமளவு காப்பாற்றுவதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், பல விவசாயிகளுக்கு நிலையான வருமான முன்மாதிரியையும் அளிக்கும் என்று வலியுறுத்தினார்.
• எத்தனால் உற்பத்தி இலக்கை எட்டுவதற்காக நாடு முழுவதும் கொள்முதல் விவசாயிகளிடமிருந்து அதிக அளவில் செய்யப்படும் என்று அவர் கூறினார்.

• Indian cricketer Kohli has moved to 5^th position in the ICC T20 ranking for the batsman.
• L Rahul is in the 4^th place.
• Tamil Nadu bowler Washington Sundar has moved to 11^th place in the ranking for bowlers.
