TAMIL NADU

1. Tamil Nadu’s fiscal deficit for FY21 was Rs. 92,305 crore against Rs. 1.04 lakh crore pegged in the interim budget

• Tamil Nadu’s fiscal deficit for the FY21 was Rs. 92,305 crores against Rs. 1.04 lakh crores pegged in the interim budget.

Comptroller and Auditor General of India

• Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India is appointed by the President of India. Article 148 of the Indian Constitution deals with the CAG.
• He audits the accounts related to expenditure from Consolidated Fund of India (CFI), Consolidated Fund of States (CFS) and Union territories with legislative assembly. Article 151 states that CAG presents the audit report related to the state to the Governor, who in turn present them in the state legislative assembly.

இந்திய தலைமை தணிக்கையாளர்

• இந்திய தலைமை தணிக்கையாளர் (CAG) இந்திய குடியரசுத் தலைவரால் நியமிக்கப்படுகிறார். இந்திய அரசியலமைப்பின் 148வது விதி CAGயைப் பற்றியது.
• இந்திய ஒருங்கிணைந்த நிதியம் (CFI) , மாநிலங்களின் ஒருங்கிணைந்த நிதியம்  மற்றும் சட்டமன்றத்துடன் உள்ள யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களின் செலவினங்கள் தொடர்பான கணக்குகளை அவர் தணிக்கை செய்வார். மாநில அரசு தொடர்பான தணிக்கை அறிக்கையை மாநில சட்டமன்றத்தில் சமர்ப்பிக்கும் ஆளுநரிடம் CAG தாக்கல் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று விதி 151 கூறுகிறது.

• Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the 43^rd GST Council meeting through video conferencing.

GST Council

• GST Council is a constitutional body setup under Article 279A of the Indian Constitution.
• The Council recommends the Union and State Government on issues related to Goods and Services Tax.
• The GST Council is chaired by the Union Finance Minister.
• The members are the Union State Minister of Revenue or Finance and Ministers  in charge of Finance or Taxation of all the States.

• ஜிஎஸ்டி கவுன்சில் என்பது இந்திய அரசியலமைப்பின் 279ஏ விதியின் கீழ் நிறுவப்பட்ட அமைப்பு ஆகும்.

3. NEERI Nagpur develops an innovative patient-friendly Saline Gargle RT-PCR Testing Method

• NEERI Nagpur develops an innovative patient-friendly Saline Gargle RT-PCR Testing Method to detect COVID-19.
• Scientists of the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) have developed a ‘Saline Gargle RT-PCR Method’ for testing COVID-19 samples. The result will be available in 3 hours.

3. நீரி (NEERI) நாக்பூர் ஒரு புதுமையான நோயாளிக்கு ஏற்ற உப்பு தண்ணீர் கொப்பளிக்கும் ஆர்டி-பிசிஆர் சோதனை முறையை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது

• கோவிட்-19ஐ கண்டறிய, நோயாளிக்கு ஏற்ற ஒரு புதுமையான சலைன் கார்கல் (உப்பு தண்ணீர் கொப்பளிக்கும்) ஆர்டி-பிசிஆர் சோதனை முறையை நீரி (NEERI) நாக்பூர் உருவாக்குகிறது.
• அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்துறை ஆராய்ச்சி கவுன்சிலின் (CSIR) கீழ் நாக்புரில் உள்ள தேசிய சுற்றுச்சூழல் பொறியியல் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தின் விஞ்ஞானிகள் கோவிட்-19 மாதிரிகளை பரிசோதிக்க ‘சலைன் கார்கல் ஆர்டி-பிசிஆர் முறையை’ உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர். இதன் சோதனை முடிவு 3 மணி நேரத்தில் கிடைக்கும்.

4. Centre to provide monetary assistance to students through DBT under Mid-Day Meal Scheme

• The Central Government has decided to provide monetary assistance to students through Direct Benefit Transfer under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme. This scheme will be available for children studying in Class I to VIII in the Government and Government aided schools across the country to safeguard the nutritional levels of children and protecting their immunity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Centre provided monetary assistance to Rs. 11.80 crore to students as a special welfare measure. The assistance will be provided to eligible children in addition to the distribution of free food grains under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.

4. மத்திய அரசு மதிய உணவுதிட்டத்தின் கீழ் மாணவர்களுக்கு நேரடி பணபரிவர்த்தனை மூலம் பண உதவி வழங்க உள்ளது

• மத்திய அரசு, மதிய உணவுத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் நேரடிப்பண பரிமாற்றம் மூலம் மாணவர்களுக்கு பண உதவி வழங்க முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. இத்திட்டம் நாடு முழுவதும் உள்ள அரசு மற்றும் அரசு உதவி பெறும் பள்ளிகளில் 1 முதல் 8ஆம் வகுப்பு வரை பயிலும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு, குழந்தைகளின் ஊட்டச்சத்து அளவை பாதுகாக்கவும், கோவிட்-19 தொற்றுநோயின் போது அவர்களின் நோய் எதிர்ப்பு சக்தியை பாதுகாக்கவும் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
• சிறப்பு நல நடவடிக்கையாக மாணவர்களுக்கு மத்திய அரசு ரூ.11.80 கோடி நிதி உதவி வழங்குகிறது. பிரதம மந்திரி கரிப் கல்யாண் அன்ன யோஜனா திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இலவச உணவு தானியங்களை பெற தகுதியுள்ள குழந்தைகளுக்கு கூடுதலாக இந்த உதவி வழங்கப்படும்.

5. INDIAai celebrates its first anniversary

• INDIAai (The National AI Portal of India) is a joint venture by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), National E-Governance Division (NEGD), and Nasscom.
• It is a central knowledge hub on artificial intelligence and allied fields for entrepreneurs, students, academics, and professionals. It was set up to prepare the nation for an AI future.

5. INDIAai முதல் ஆண்டு விழாவைக் கொண்டாடுகிறது

6. Amartya Sen to be honoured with Spain’s Princess of Asturias Award 2021

• Nobel Laurate Amartya Sen is to be honoured with Spain’s Princess of Asturias Award 2021 for his efforts to promote ‘justice, freedom and democracy’ in the social science category.
• Spain’s Princess of Asturias Award is handed out annually by the Asturias Princess Foundation, which is named after Spanish Crown Princess Leonor.

• சர்வதேச ஆம்னெஸ்டி தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 28 மே அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. “மறக்கப்பட்ட கைதிகள்” என்ற கட்டுரை வெளியிடப்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து, 1961இல் லண்டனில் சர்வதேச ஆம்னெஸ்டி சபை நிறுவப்பட்டது.
• சர்வதேச ஆம்னெஸ்டி சபை என்பது மனித உரிமைகள் மீது கவனம் செலுத்தும் ஒரு அரசு சாரா அமைப்பாகும்.

8. Menstrual Hygiene Day – 28 May

• Menstrual Hygiene Dayis obsered on May 28 every year. It was initiated by the German-based NGO WASH United in 2014. May 28 is selected to mark the menstrual cycles average 28 days in length and women menstruate an average of five days each month, and May is the fifth month of the year. According to UN, Menstrual health is a human right.

• 1987இல், சர்வதேச மகளிர் சுகாதார தினம் அல்லது பெண்கள் சுகாதார நடவடிக்கை சர்வதேச தினம் நடைமுறைக்கு வந்தது மற்றும் அந்த நேரத்தில் தென் ஆப்ரிக்கா அரசாங்கம் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக இந்நாளை அங்கீகரித்தது.
