TNPSC Group 1 2020 Exam – Postponed – Official Notification

Dear TNPSC Aspirants,

TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) has released a press release from the chairman of TNPSC with the news pertaining to the TNPSC Group 1 2020 Prelims Exam postponement.

The official Press release from TNPSC stated the following excerpt in Tamil and the same has been translated into English for convenience to read.

” “The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has announced on January 20 that the first phase of the various tasks in Group-1 will be held on April 5. The Official notification of the TNPSC Group – I 2020 was released on January, 20, 2020.

Hostels in Chennai and other districts have been shut down due to coronavirus infection and the candidates have requested TNPSC that they would have to go home as there is no alternative to stay.

In addition, candidates have requested TNPSC to postpone the TNPSC Group-1 Prelims Exam 2020, saying that they may be infected if they have to travel to select centers from various districts and states.

Moreover, the central government has announced the coronavirus COVID-19 as an epidemic, and our Tamil Nadu government has been taking preventive measures to prevent the spread of the epidemic and as part of that , Tamil Nadu Government has decided to postpone the TNPSC Group I – 2020 Prelims Exam indefinitely which was supposed to happen on April 5, 2020. This has been taken after considering various precautions and preventive measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The New Dates for the TNPSC Group – I Prelims Exam 2020 will be released later officially. ”

தமிழக அரசின் ஆட்சிப் பணியில் ஒன்றான குரூப்-1 தேர்வு ஏப்.5-ல் நடக்கவிருந்த நிலையில், கரோனா பாதிப்பை அடுத்து தேதி குறிப்பிடப்படாமல் ஒத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக டிஎன்பிஎஸ்சி தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

இதுகுறித்து டிஎன்பிஎஸ்சி செயலர் விடுத்துள்ள அறிவிப்பு:

“தமிழ்நாடு அரசுப் பணியாளர் தேர்வாணையம் ஜனவரி 20-ல் வெளியிட்ட அறிவிக்கைப்படி குரூப்-1 பணிகளில் உள்ள பல்வேறு பணிகளுக்கான முதல் நிலைத் தேர்வு ஏப்ரல் 5-ம் தேதி அன்று நடைபெறும் என்று அறிவித்திருந்தது.

சென்னை மற்றும் இதர மாவட்டங்களில் தங்கும் விடுதிகள் கரோனா வைரஸ் நோய்த் தொற்றின் காரணமாக மூடப்பட்ட வருவதாகவும் இதனால் தேர்வு எழுதும் தேர்வர்கள் தங்குவதற்கு மாற்று ஏற்பாடு இல்லாத காரணத்தால் அவர்கள் சொந்த ஊருக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டி இருப்பதாகத் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

மேலும், தேர்வர்கள் குரூப்-1 தேர்வுக்கு பல்வேறு மாவட்டம் மற்றும் மாநிலங்களிலிருந்து தேர்வு மையங்களுக்குப் பயணிக்க வேண்டிய சூழ்நிலையில் அவர்கள் நோய்த் தொற்றுகளுக்கு உள்ளாகக் கூடும் எனத் தெரிவித்து குரூப்-1 தேர்வினைத் தள்ளிவைக்கக் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர்.

மேலும், மத்திய அரசு கரோனா வைரஸ் நோய்த் தொற்றை பேரிடராக அறிவிக்கை செய்துள்ளதாலும், தமிழக அரசே கரோனா வைரஸ் பரவலைத் தடுக்க எடுத்து வரும் பல்வேறு முன்னெச்சரிக்கை மற்றும் தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளையும், தேர்வர்களின் கோரிக்கைகளையும் கருத்தில்கொண்டு ஏப்ரல் 5-ம் தேதி அன்று நடை பெறுவதாக அறிவித்திருந்த குரூப்-1 முதல்நிலைத் தேர்வுத் தேதி குறிப்பிடாமல் ஒத்திவைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தேர்வு நடைபெறும் தேதி விரைவில் அறிவிக்கப்படும்”.

The New Syllabus of TNPSC Group 1 2020 is very similar to that of the TNPSC Group 2 & 2 A Syllabus.

The Unit 8 (History, Culture, Heritage and Socio-Political Movements in Tamil Nadu) & Unit 9 (Development Administration in Tamil Nadu) were included in the TNPSC Group 1 2020 Syllabus and previously TNPSC Group 1 Syllabus had only 8 units and the present TNPSC Group 1 2020 Syllabus have 10 UNITS along with the above-said topics.
