HOW TO CRACK SSC MTS
Dear aspirants, as all of you are geared up for the SSC MTS Examination, we hope this article would be nifty. Since all the SSC exams are getting online these days, MTS alone still sticks to be in old mode. So far aspirants would have practised online for SSC CGL, CHSL exams. Again you are going back the old way i.e., offline mode. When compared to online mode, offline mode is a little bit difficult. But constant practice will make you a better contender. Better practice it in offline mode than practicing online. Practice atleast one mock test daily. Because tests will improve your skills and to analyse where and which topics you are lagging and also use an OMR to check your time management. Based on your performance in mock tests improve your weak topics.

In the end, if you have some minutes left go for this section. Because the same weightage goes if you attend any questions from any section but scoring in Reasoning is bit easy and you don’t have lose marks by taking risk with other sections.
PART – B NUMERICAL APTITUDE
This is the part where you are going to spend time. Comparing to SSC CGL, the level of aptitude will be quite easy. So you need not worry about aptitude. Since the exam is offline mode you need to practice a lot as time management is necessary for this section. You would feel that many questions are answerable and that guts of yours will ruin the time left with you. So don’t let that happen and make sure you skip the questions if it takes more than 50 secs. These are the topic wise distribution of aptitude in MTS exam.

PART – C GENERAL ENGLISH
English is one of the most important section in this exam since 50 questions are going to be asked. Not only in MTS but also in other exams like CGL, CHSL, CPO, FCI etc. This part should be given more importance as much as you give for aptitude. This part is going to take you to next level of examination i.e., Tier 2 as Tier 2 is descriptive in nature. And as usual SSC repeats the models asked in the previous years. Here is the topic wise distribution for English section.

Most of the people find it difficult to concentrate more on English but the only way to crack good scores in this exam is to go through previous year models of Error Spotting and Fill in the Blanks. You can have access to those in RACE Circle programs. It is exclusive materials for the models being repeated in SSC Exams.
PART – D GENERAL AWARENESS
General awareness section has 50 questions and don’t have to panic because it is same as the old pattern. Don’t lose your confidence like you can’t even attend 25 questions in CGL or CHSL. By this old pattern, it is easy to score 25 – 30 if accuracy is maintained. The topics which are to covered are History, Geography, Polity, Economy, General science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Science and technology, Current affairs and other miscellaneous topics.
Here is the topic wise distribution of General Awareness

For general studies continuous revision will help you to remember. Study according to the topic wise distribution and Concentrate more on daily RACE Viva materials, SAMRAT and Elixir.
Stay calm and relaxed, don’t be perplexed. Attend the questions which you are so confident of answering else don’t take the risk. If you can’t eliminate 2 options given and come to one single option from the remaining 2, don’t ever attend and skip the question. As I said early, don’t go by your gut feeling. Shading is very important. Even if it takes time, don’t worry. In case the questions which you know 50-50 leave it and attend at last and that too go for Reasoning Section. Don’t attend all the questions, think of negative marks and attend wisely.
