1. Indian Railways has integrated all railway helplines into single number 139

• Indian Railways announced the integration of all railway helplines into a single number ‘139’ for all train travel related queries and complaints.
• The various railway grievances helplines were discontinued last year and the 182 helpline number will also be discontinued from 1 April 2021 and merged into the 139 helpline number.
• The 139 helpline will be available in 12 languages and the passengers can either opt for Interactive Voice Response System(IVRS) or directly connect to the call centre executives.

1. இந்திய ரயில்வே அனைத்து ரயில்வே உதவிஎண்களையும் 139 என்னும் ஒற்றை உதவிஎண்ணாக ஒருங்கிணைத்துள்ளது

• ரயில் பயணம் தொடர்பான அனைத்து கேள்வி மற்றும் புகார்களுக்குமான அனைத்து ரயில்வே உதவி எண்களையும் ‘139’ என்னும் ஒற்றை எண்ணில் இணைப்பதாக இந்திய ரயில்வே அறிவித்துள்ளது.
• ரயில்வே குறைகளின் பல்வேறு உதவி எண்கள் கடந்த ஆண்டு நிறுத்தப்பட்டன. மேலும் 182 என்னும் உதவி எண் 1 ஏப்ரல் 2021 முதல் நிறுத்தப்பட்டு, 139 என்னும் உதவி எண்ணில் இணைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.
• 139 உதவி எண் 12 மொழிகளில் செயல்படுத்தப்படும். மேலும் பயணிகள் ஊடாட்டக் குரல்வழிச் செயல்பாடு (ஐவிஆர்எஸ்) அல்லது கால் சென்டர் நிர்வாகிகளுடன் நேரடியாக இணையும் வகையில் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.

2. Garmin has introduced its new smartwatch for women called ‘Lily’ in India

• On the occasion of International Women’s day, Garmin has introduced a new type of smartwatch called Lily for women in India.
• The Lily is a new fashion smartwatch for women, and is said to have been designed by women and offers a range of women’s health features, including menstrual cycle tracking and a newly launched pregnancy tracking feature.
• The pregnancy tracking feature allows users to log pregnancy-related symptoms, track baby movement, blood glucose levels, create customisable reminders and receive exercise and nutrition tips.

2. கார்மின் நிறுவனம், ‘லில்லி’ என்னும் பெண்களுக்கான புதிய ஸ்மார்ட்வாட்சை இந்தியாவில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

• சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு, கார்மின் நிறுவனம் பெண்களுக்கான லில்லி என்ற புதிய வகை ஸ்மார்ட்வாட்சை இந்தியாவில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது
• லில்லி என்னும் புதிய பேஷன் ஸ்மார்ட்வாட்ச், பெண்களுக்காக பெண்களால் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டது ஆகும். மேலும் மாதவிடாய் சுழற்சி கண்காணிப்பு மற்றும் கர்ப்ப கண்காணிப்பு உள்ளிட்ட பல சுகாதார அம்சங்களை பெண்களுக்காக வழங்குகிறது.
• கர்ப்ப கண்காணிப்பு அம்சம், பயனர்களின் கர்ப்பம் தொடர்பான அறிகுறிகளை பதிவு செய்யவும், குழந்தை இயக்கம், இரத்த குளுக்கோஸ் அளவைக் கண்காணிக்கவும், தனிப்பயனாக்கக்கூடிய நினைவூட்டல்களை உருவாக்கவும், உடற்பயிற்சி மற்றும் ஊட்டச்சத்து உதவிக்குறிப்புகளைப் பெறவும் உதவுகிறது.

3. Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism inaugurated All-Women’s Art Exhibition titled ‘Akshya Patra’

• On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurated the All-Women’s Art Exhibition titled ‘Akshya Patra’ in New Delhi.
• The event was organized at Rabindra Bhavan Galleries of Lalit Kala Akademi, India’s National Academy of Art, an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Culture.
• The exhibition will last until March 20 and showcase more than 250 artworks from over 12 countries.
• Lalit Kala Akademi presented  ‘KaroNaSalam’ curated by Ms. Sayali Kulkarni, where she gave a creative tribute to the COVID warriors by Indian Citizens.

3. கலாச்சார மற்றும் சுற்றுலாத்துறை இணை அமைச்சர்பிரகலாத் சிங் படேல்அகில மகளிர் கலை கண்காட்சியான ‘அக்ஷ்ய பத்ரா’வை துவக்கி வைத்தார்.

• சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு, புது டெல்லியில் ‘அக்ஷ்ய பாத்ரா’ என்னும் அனைத்து மகளிர் கலை கண்காட்சியை மத்திய கலாச்சார மற்றும் சுற்றுலா ததுறை இணை அமைச்சர் பிரகலாத் சிங் படேல் துவக்கி வைத்தார்.
• கலாச்சார அமைச்சகத்தின் தன்னாட்சி அமைப்பான இந்தியாவின் தேசிய கலை அகாடமியான லலித் கலா அகாடமியின் ரவீந்திர பவன் கேலரிகளில் இந்த நிகழ்வு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது.
• மார்ச் 20 வரை நீடிக்கும் இந்த கண்காட்சியில், 12 நாடுகளில் இருந்து 250 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கலைப்படைப்புகள் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளது.
• லலித் கலா அகாடமி சார்பாக திருமதி சயாலி குல்கர்னி, இந்திய குடிமக்கள் கோவிட் வீரர்களுக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்தும் ‘கரோநாசலாம்’ என்னும் படைப்பை தொகுத்து வழங்கினார்..

4. Scientific Tamil scholar Rama Sundaram passed away on 8 March 2021

• Rama Sundaram (83), Retired Head of the Department of Science Tamil and Tamil Development, Thanjavur Tamil University and President of the All India Institute of Scientific Tamil, passed away on March 8, 2021 in Thanjavur due to ill health.
• He has authored more than ten books. He has authored over 200 articles in Tamil, English, Malayalam and Polish languages. He had also translated various scientific books in Tamil.

4. அறிவியல் தமிழறிஞர் இராம.சுந்தரம் 8 மார்ச் 2021 அன்று காலமானார்

• தஞ்சாவூர் தமிழ்ப் பல்கலைக்கழக அறிவியல் தமிழ் மற்றும் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித் துறைத் தலைவராகப் பணியாற்றி ஓய்வுபெற்றவரும், அனைத்திந்திய அறிவியல் தமிழ் கழகத் தலைவரும், அறிவியல் தமிழறிஞருமான இராம.சுந்தரம் (83) உடல்நலக் குறைவு காரணமாக தஞ்சாவூரில் 8 மார்ச் 2021 அன்று காலமானார்.
• இவர் பத்திற்கும் அதிகமான நூல்களை இயற்றியுள்ளார். தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம், மலையாளம், போலிஷ் உள்ளிட்ட மொழிகளில் 200க்கும் அதிகமான கட்டுரைகளை இயற்றியுள்ளார். மேலும், பல்வேறு அறியியல் நூல்களைத் தமிழில் இயற்றியுள்ளார்.

5. All major schemes of the Women and Child Development Ministry have been classified under 3 umbrella schemes: Mission Poshan 2.0, Mission Vatsalya andMission Shakti

• For effective implementation of various schemes and programmes of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, all major schemes of the Ministry have been classified under 3 umbrella schemes viz. Mission Poshan 2.0, Mission Vatsalya andMission Shakti.
• Umbrella ICDS – Anganwadi Services, Poshan Abhiyan, Scheme for Adolescent Girls, National Creche Schemes are included under Saksham Anganwadi and POSHAN 2.0 umbrella scheme.
• Child Protection Services and Child Welfare Services are included under Mission VATSALYA umbrella scheme.
• SAMBAL (One Stop Centre, Mahila Police Volunteer, Women’s Helpline/Swadhar/Ujjawala/Widow Homes etc.) and SAMARTHYA (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Creche, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana/ Gender Budgeting/Research) are included under Mission Shakti umbrella scheme.

6. Two-day Workshop on Implementation of traditional artisan Clusters under Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) in New Delhi

• union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated a two-day Workshop on implementation of traditional artisan clusters under Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
• The purpose of the workshop is to train the stakeholders to plan the implementation of the clusters in a time-bound manner so that the benefits of the Government interventions reach the beneficiaries early, enhancing their quality of production and increasing their income.

6. பாரம்பரிய கைத்தொழில்களை மீளுருவாக்கம் செய்யும் நிதித் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், பாரம்பரிய கைவினைக் குழுமங்களை நடைமுறைப்படுத்தல் தொடர்பான இரண்டு நாள் பயிலரங்கம் புது டெல்லியில் நடத்தப்பட்டது

• மத்திய குறு, சிறு மற்றும் நடுத்தரத் தொழில் துறை அமைச்சர் நிதின் கட்காரி புது டெல்லியில் உள்ள டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர் சர்வதேச மையத்தில் பாரம்பரிய தொழில்களை மீளுருவாக்கம் செய்வதற்கான நிதி திட்டத்தின் கீழ், பாரம்பரிய கைவினைக் குழுமங்களை செயல்படுத்துவது குறித்த இரண்டு நாள் பயிலரங்கை துவக்கி வைத்தார்.
• அரசு சலுகைகள் விரைவில் பயனாளிகளை சென்றடையவும், அவர்களின் உற்பத்தி தரம் மற்றும் வருமானத்தை உயர்த்தும் பொருட்டு, குறிப்பிட்ட கால வரையறையில் குழுமங்களை செயல்படுத்த பங்குதாரர்களுக்கு பயிற்சி அளிப்பது இதன் நோக்கமாகும்.

7. Andhra Pradesh became the first state to announce the Gender Budget concept

• The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has stated that their State will be the first in the country to come up with the Gender Budget concept.
• Jagan Mohan Reddy has stated that women should be given equal rights economically, socially, and politically and recognize their services in bettering society.

8. ஆந்திர பிரதேசம், பாலின வரவு-செலவு திட்டத்தை முன்மொழிந்த முதல் மாநிலமாக திகழ்கிறது

• ஆந்திர முதல்வர் ஜெகன் மோகன் ரெட்டி, பாலின வரவு-செலவு திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தும் முதல் மாநிலமாக ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசம் திகழ்வதாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
• பெண்களுக்கு பொருளாதார, சமூக, அரசியல் ரீதியாக சமஉரிமை வழங்குதல், சமுதாயத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதில் அவர்களின் சேவைகளை அங்கீகரத்தல் ஆகியவற்றை வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.

8. India’s first forest healing centre inaugurated in Ranikhet, Uttarakhand

• India’s First Forest Healing centre was inaugurated at Kalika near Ranikhet, Uttarakhand. The forest healing centre has been developed by the Research Wing of the Uttarakhand Forest Department. It is spread over an area of around 13 acres.
• The centre is based on the concept of making people healthy by bringing them into direct contact with nature. The healing centre is inspired from the Japanese technique of forest bathing.

8. இந்தியாவின் முதல் வன சிகிச்சை மையம் உத்தராகண்ட் மாநிலம் ராணிக்கேத்தில் துவக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது

• இந்தியாவின் முதல் வன சிகிச்சை மையம் உத்தராகண்ட் மாநிலம் ராணிக்கேத் அருகே உள்ள கலிகாவில் துவக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது. உத்தரகண்ட் வனத்துறையின் ஆராய்ச்சி பிரிவினால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இந்த மையம் சுமார் 13 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
• இயற்கையுடனான நேரடி தொடர்பின் மூலம் மக்களை ஆரோக்கியப்படுத்தும் முறையை இந்த மையம் அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இந்த வன சிகிச்சை மையம் ஜப்பானிய வனக் குளியல் நுட்பத்திலிருந்து ஈர்க்கப்பட்டது ஆகும்.
