1. International Day of Mathematics was celebrated on 14 March 2021

• International Day of Mathematics (also known as Pi Day) is celebrated annually on 14 March every year as the date represents the value of Pi (3.14).
• The value of the Pi was first calculated by a mathematician named Archimedes of Syracuse.
• The Pi Day was first recognized by Physicist Larry Shaw in 1988.
• UNESCO’s 40^th General Conference had decided to observe Pi Day as the International Day of Mathematics in 2019.

1. சர்வதேச கணித தினம் 14 மார்ச் 2021 அன்று கொண்டாடப்பட்டது

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 14 மார்ச் தேதி 3.14 என்னும் பையின் (Pi) மதிப்பை குறிப்பதால், இந்த தினம் சர்வதேச கணித தினமாக (பை தினம்) கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
• பையின் மதிப்பு முதலில் சைராகஸின் ஆர்க்கிமிடீஸ் என்ற கணிதவியலாளர் மூலம் கணக்கிடப்பட்டது.
• இயற்பியலாளர் லாரி ஷாவால் பை நாள் 1988ஆம் ஆண்டு முதன் முதலில் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டது.
• 2019ஆம் ஆண்டில், யுனெஸ்கோவின் 40வது பொது மாநாடு சபை, பை தினத்தை சர்வதேச கணித தினமாக அனுசரிக்க முடிவு செய்தது.

2. World Consumer Rights Day was observed on 15 March 2021

• World Consumer Rights Day is observed on 15 March every year to raise global awareness about consumer rights and needs.
• In India, National Consumers Right Day is observed every year on 24 December.
• The first World Consumer Rights Day was observed in the year 1983.
• The theme for World Consumer Rights Day 2021 is ‘Tackling Plastic Pollution.’

2. உலக நுகர்வோர் உரிமைகள் தினம் 15 மார்ச் 2021 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டது

• நுகர்வோர் உரிமைகள் மற்றும் தேவைகள் குறித்து உலக விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில், உலக நுகர்வோர் உரிமைகள் தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 15 மார்ச் அன்று கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• இந்தியாவில், தேசிய நுகர்வோர் உரிமை தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 24 டிசம்பர் அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• 1983ஆம் ஆண்டு முதன்முதலில் உலக நுகர்வோர் உரிமைகள் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டது.
• 2021 உலக நுகர்வோர் உரிமைகள் தினத்தின் கருப்பொருள்: ‘பிளாஸ்டிக் மாசுப்பாட்டை கையாளுதல்’ ஆகும்.

3. National Vaccination Day was observed on 16 March 2021

• The National Vaccination Day is celebrated every year on 16 March to convey the importance of vaccination to the entire nation.
• The National Vaccination Day day was first observed in 1995 to celebrate the Indian Government’s Pulse Polio Campaign, which was also started in the same year.

3. தேசிய தடுப்பூசி தினம் 16 மார்ச் 2021 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டது

• தேசிய தடுப்பூசி தினம், ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 16 மார்ச் அன்று தடுப்பூசியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை உணர்த்தும் விதமாக நாடு முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
• இந்திய அரசின் பல்ஸ் போலியோ பிரச்சாரத்தை நினைவு கூறும் விதமாக, 1995ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் இந்த நாள் தேசிய தடுப்பூசி தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

4. Anti-caste activist and human rights defender Gowsalya Shankar nominated for the International Women of Courage Award

• The US Consulate had honoured Tamil Nadu-based anti-caste activist and human rights defender Gowsalya Shankar with a nomination for the International Woman of Courage (IWOC) Award.
• As of now, Gowsalya was India’s nominee for the 2021 US Secretary of State’s IWOC Award.

4. சர்வதேச பெண்கள் விருதுக்கு சாதி எதிர்ப்பு போராளியும் மனித உரிமை பாதுகாவலருமான கௌசல்யா சங்கர் பரிந்துரை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்

• தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த சாதி எதிர்ப்பு போராளியும் மனித உரிமை பாதுகாவலருமான கௌசல்யா ஷங்கரை, சர்வதேச பெண்கள் விருதுக்கு பரிந்துரை செய்து அமெரிக்க தூதரகம் கௌரவித்துள்ளது.
• இதன் மூலம் கௌசல்யா, 2021 அமெரிக்க வெளியுறவுச் செயலரின் சர்வதேச பெண்கள் விருதின் இந்திய வேட்பாளராக உள்ளார்.

5. Uttar Pradesh Government conducted a three-day ‘Kalanamak Rice Festival’ from 13 to 15 March 2021

• The Uttar Pradesh Government organized a three-day ‘Kalanamak Rice Festival’ in Siddharthnagar district from 13 to 15 March 2021.
• In 2018, the Uttar Pradesh Government included ‘Kalanamak’ rice in the ‘One District-One Product’ scheme and provided marketing, branding and technical support to farmers.
• The event promoted selected products as ODOP under the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ and ‘Local for Vocal’ campaign.

5. உத்தரப்பிரதேச அரசு 13 முதல் 15 மார்ச் 2021 வரை மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு ‘காலாநமக் அரிசி விழா’வை நடத்தியது

• உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநில அரசு, 13 முதல் 15 மார்ச் 2021 வரை சித்தார்த்நகர் மாவட்டத்தில் மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு ‘காலாநமக் அரிசி விழா’ என்னும் நிகழ்வை நடத்தியது.
• 2018ஆம் ஆண்டு, உத்தரப்பிரதேச அரசு ‘ஒரு மாவட்டம் ஒரு தயாரிப்பு’ திட்டத்தில் ‘ காலாநமக்’ அரிசியையும் இணைத்து விவசாயிகளுக்கு சந்தைப்படுத்தல், பிராண்டிங் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப ஆதரவை வழங்கியது.
• ‘ஆத்மநிர்பார் பாரத் அபியான்’ மற்றும் ‘உள்ளூர் மக்களின் குரல்’ திட்டத்தின் கீழ், தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட பொருட்கள் ‘ஒரு மாவட்டம் ஒரு தயாரிப்பு’ என இந்நிகழ்வு விளம்பரப்படுத்தியது.

6. The Tamil Nadu Government has agreed to establish mini IT parks Salem, Villupuram, Cuddalore and Theni districts

• The Tamil Nadu Government has agreed to establish mini IT parks in four districts identified in the first phase of the joint ventute project of TIDEL and ElCOT.
• The project was proposed by TIDEL Park Ltd. to create mini IT parks with an area of 50,000 sq. ft. to 1 lakh sq. ft. in tier 2 and tier 3 towns and the Government agreed to take up the projects in Salem, Villupuram, Cuddalore and Theni districts.

6. சிறிய ஐ.டி. பூங்காக்களை சேலம், விழுப்புரம், கடலூர் மற்றும் தேனி மாவட்டங்களில் அமைக்க தமிழக அரசு ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது

• டைடெல் மற்றும் எல்காட் ஆகியவற்றின் கூட்டு முயற்சி திட்டத்தின் முதல் கட்டமாக அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ள நான்கு மாவட்டங்களில் சிறிய ஐ.டி பூங்காக்களை நிறுவ, தமிழக அரசு ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
• 50,000 சதுர அடி முதல் 1 லட்சம் சதுர அடி வரையிலான பரப்பளவு கொண்ட சிறிய ஐ.டி. பூங்காக்களை உருவாக்கும் திட்டததை டைடல் பார்க் நிறுவனம் முன்மொழிந்திருந்த நிலையில், சேலம், விழுப்புரம், கடலூர் மற்றும் தேனி ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் திட்டங்களை செயல்படுத்த அரசு ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியுள்ளது.

7. Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry had proposed to set up an AYUSH Export Promotion Council (AEPC) 

• For growth and export of AYUSH products and services across the globe, the Union Ministry of AYUSH, in cooperation with Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, had proposed to set up an Export Promotion Council for medicines and products of Ayurveda, Homoeopathic, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Unani systems and services of the AYUSH systems.
• The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) was given the responsibility as a nodal agency for the Union Ministry of AYUSH to coordinate with other industry bodies and companies.

7. மத்திய வர்த்தக மற்றும் கைத்தொழில் அமைச்சகம் ‘ஆயுஷ் ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டு கவுன்சில்’ (ஏ.இ.பி.சி) அமைக்க பரிந்துரைத்துள்ளது

• உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள ஆயுஷ் தயாரிப்புகள் மற்றும் சேவைகளின் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் ஏற்றுமதிக்காக, ஆயுர்வேதம், ஹோமியோபதி, சித்தா, சோவா ரிக்பா மற்றும் யுனானி அமைப்புகளின் மருந்துகள் மற்றும் தயாரிப்புகளுக்கான ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டு கவுன்சில் ஒன்றை உருவாக்க மத்திய ஆயுஷ் அமைச்சகம், மத்திய வர்த்தக மற்றும் தொழில்துறை அமைச்சகத்தின் அனுமதியுடன் முன்மொழிந்துள்ளது.
• மத்திய ஆயுஷ் அமைச்சகத்தை மற்ற தொழில்துறை அமைப்புகள் மற்றும் நிறுவனங்களுடன் ஒருங்கிணைப்பதற்கான முகமை பொறுப்பு இந்திய வர்த்தக மற்றும் தொழில்துறை கூட்டமைப்புக்கு (FICCI) வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

8. Rakhi Garhi is developed as one of the five identified iconic archaeological sites

• The ancient site of Rakhi-Khas and Rakhi-Shahpur are collectively known as Rakhigarhi which is located on the right bank of now dried up Palaeo-channel of Drishadvati.
• The site has yielded various stages of Harappan culture and is by far one of the largest Harappan sites in India.
• Out of the fiveiconic archaeological sites located across five states in the Union Budget of 2020, Rakhigarhi located in Hissar district, Haryana is one among them.

8. அடையாளம் காணப்பட்ட ஐந்து தொல்லியல் தளங்களில் ஒன்றாக ராக்கி கட்ஹி மேம்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது

• பண்டைய தளங்களான ராக்கி-காஸ் மற்றும் ராக்கி-ஷாபூர், ராக்கி கட்ஹி என அறியப்படுகிறது. இது தற்போது வறண்டு போன திரிஷாத்வதியின் பழங்கால வாய்க்காலின் வலது கரையில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
• ஹரப்பா பண்பாட்டின் பல்வேறு காலக்கட்டங்களை கொண்ட இந்த தளம் இந்தியாவின் மிகப் பெரிய ஹரப்பாக் களங்களில் ஒன்றாகவும் விளங்குகிறது.

9. Indian Naval Ship Jalashwa arrived at Port Anjouan to deliver 1,000 Metric Tonnes of rice as part of Mission Sagar-IV

• As part of Mission Sagar-IV, Indian Naval Ship Jalashwa arrived at Port Anjouan, Comoros, on 14 March 2021 to deliver 1,000 Metric Tonnes of rice.
• Mission Sagar was India’s initiative to deliver COVID-19 related assistance to the countries in the Indian Ocean Littoral states.

9. மிஷன் சாகர்- IVன் ஒரு பகுதியாக இந்திய கடற்படை கப்பல் ஜலாஷ்வா 1000 மெட்ரிக் டன் அரிசி வழங்க அன்ஜோவான் துறைமுகத்தை சென்றடைந்தது

• மிஷன் சாகர்-IVன் ஒரு பகுதியாக, இந்திய கடற்படை கப்பல் ஜலாஷ்வா, 14 மார்ச் 2021 அன்று 1,000 மெட்ரிக் டன் அரிசியை வழங்க கொமொரோசின் அன்ஜோவான் துறைமுகத்திற்கு சென்றடைந்தது.
• மிஷன் சாகர் எனப்படுவது இந்திய பெருங்கடல் பகுதிகளில் உள்ள நாடுகளுக்கு, கோவிட்-19 தொடர்பான உதவிகளை வழங்குவதற்கான இந்தியாவின் முன்முயற்சி ஆகும்.

10. Food technology institutes at Haryana and Tamil Nadu received the status of National Importance

• The Rajya Sabha passed the National Institutes of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management Bill, 2019.
• This Bill confers the status of national importance on food technology institutes such as the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management in Kundli, Haryana and the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.

10. ஹரியானா மற்றும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள உணவு மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனங்கள் தேசிய முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த அந்தஸ்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளது

• மாநிலங்களவையில் தேசிய உணவு தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனங்கள் தொழில் முனைவோர் மற்றும் மேலாண்மை மசோதா 2019 நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது.
