• Dindigul I. Leoni was appointed as the Chairman of Tamil Nadu Textbook Corporation.
• The Tamil Nadu Textbook Corporation prepares, prints and distributes textbooks to schools.
• Leoni is a stage speaker and a comedy bar moderator. He is the recipient of the Kalaimamani Award.

• தமிழ்நாடு பாடநூல் கழகத்தின் தலைவராக திண்டுக்கல் ஐ. லியோனி நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
• தமிழ்நாடு பாடநூல் கழகம்பள்ளிகளுக்குப் பாடப் புத்தகங்களைத் தயாரித்து, அச்சிட்டு, விநியோகம் செய்து வருகிறது.

2. L. Murugan of Tamil Nadu finds a place in the reshuffled Union Cabinet

• Murugan of Tamil Nadu was appointed as a Cabinet Minister in the reshuffled Union Cabinet.
• He was appointed as the Union Minister of State (MoS) for Information and Broadcasting; and Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy.

3. Gujarat exports GI tagged Bhalia wheat

• The first commercial shipment of Geographical Indication (GI) certified Bhalia variety of wheat was exported to Kenya and Sri Lanka from Gujarat. The GI-certified wheat has high protein content and is sweet in taste. The crop is grown mostly across the Bhal region of Gujarat.
• It is grown in a rainfed condition. The Bhalia variety of wheat received the GI certification in 2011.

3. குஜராத் புவிசார் குறியீடு பெற்ற பாலியா கோதுமையை ஏற்றுமதி செய்தது

4. Amit Shah to head the new Union Ministry of Cooperation along with Home Affairs

• A new Ministry named the Union Ministry of Cooperation was created by the Union Government.
• Amit Shah was appointed as the Union Minister of the new Union Ministry of Cooperation along with the Union Ministry Home Affairs.

4. மத்திய அரசின் உள்துறையுடன் சேர்த்து புதிய மத்திய கூட்டுறவு அமைச்சகத்தையும் தலைமை தாங்குகிறார் அமித் ஷா

• மத்திய கூட்டுறவு அமைச்சகம் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஒரு புதிய மத்திய அமைச்சகம் மத்திய அரசால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.
• உள்துறை அமைச்சகத்துடன் சேர்த்து புதிய மத்திய கூட்டுறவு அமைச்சகத்தின் மத்திய அமைச்சராக அமித் ஷா நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

5. Union Cabinet was reshuffled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

• The Union Cabinet was reshuffled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which 15 new Cabinet Ministers and 28 new Union Ministers of State were selected. They were sworn in by President Ram Nath Govind.

List of the new Union Cabinet Ministers:

• Amit Shah will head the newly created Union Ministry of Cooperation.
• This Union Government has 27 OBC Ministers, including 5 with Cabinet rank, 12 ministers from scheduled caste communities and eight from scheduled tribes.
• Five leaders of the minority community are now Ministers in the Union Government.
• The average age of the Parliament is now reduced from 61 to 58.

• சிறுபான்மை சமூகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஐந்து தலைவர்கள் இப்போது மத்திய அமைச்சரவையில் அமைச்சர்களாக உள்ளனர்.
• பாராளுமன்றத்தின் சராசரி வயது இப்போது 61இல் இருந்து 58ஆக குறைந்துள்ளது.

6. World’s first solo motorcycle expedition in Umlingla Pass culminates

• World’s first solo motorcycle expedition, organised by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), from the BRO Headquarters in New Delhi, culminates. Kanchan Ugursandi, a 29-year-old woman biker, undertook the challenge to cover 3,187 km in 1 month.
• She is the first woman solo woman to cover the 18 passes and also the first woman to cross Umlingla Pass, the highest motorable pass at 19,301 feet in the world.
• The route which was traversed is New Delhi-Manali-Leh-Umlingla Pass–New Delhi. 

6. உலகின் முதல் தனி மோட்டார் சைக்கிள் பயணம் உம்லிங்லா கணவாயில் முடிவடைந்தது

• புது தில்லியில் உள்ள எல்லை சாலைகள் அமைப்பு (BRO) தலைமையகத்தில் BRO ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்த முதல் தனி பெண் மோட்டார் சைக்கிள் பயணம் முடிவடைந்தது. கஞ்சன் உகுர்சாண்டி என்ற 29 வயது பெண் பைக்கர் 1 மாதத்தில் 3,187 கி.மீ. தூரத்தைக் கடந்தார்.
• அவர் 18 கணவாய்களை கடந்த முதல் தனி பெண் மற்றும் 19,301 அடி உயரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள உலகின் மிக உயர்ந்த வாகனம் செல்லக்கூடிய கணவாயான உம்லிங்லா கணவாயைக் கடந்த முதல் பெண் ஆவார்.
• இந்த பயணம் புது தில்லி-மணாலி-லே-உம்லிங்லா கணவாய்-புது தில்லி வழியே நிகழ்ந்தது. 

7. Union Government brings the Department of Public Enterprises under the Union Finance Ministry

• The Union Government is set to bring the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) under the Union Ministry of Finance.
• The DPE was earlier under the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
• It was brought under the Union Ministry of Finance to ease coordination related to future disinvestment plans.

8. DBT-NIBMG creates the world’s first database of genomic variants of oral cancer ‘dbGENVOC’

• DBT-National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), Kalyani, an autonomous institute funded by the Department of Biotechnology has created the world’s first database of genomic variants of oral cancer, ‘dbGENVOC’. It is an online database of genomic variants of oral cancer and is a free resource. The repository will be updated annually.
• Oral cancer is the most prevalent form of cancer among men in India, largely fuelled by tobacco-chewing.
• Tata Memorial Centre published the first of its kind study on the cost of illness and treatment of oral cancer in India.

DBT

• The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Union Ministry of Science and Technology augments the development of the biotechnology ecosystem in India.

NIBMG

• The National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) has been established as an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology.
• This is the first institution in India explicitly devoted to research, training, translation and service and capacity-building in biomedical genomics.
• It is located in Kalyani, West Bengal.

8. DBT-NIBMG வாய் புற்றுநோய் மரபணு மாறுபாடுகளின் உலகின் முதல் தரவுத்தளமான ‘டிபிஜென்வோக்’ஐ உருவாக்குகியுள்ளது

9. INS Tabar participates in exercises with the Italian Navy

• INS Tabar took part in a partnership exercise with ITS Antonio Marceglia, a frontline frigate of the Italian Navy in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
• The Tyrrhenian Sea is a part of the Mediterranean Sea. This exercise is a part of the deployment of INS Tabar in the Mediterranean Sea.

9. ஐஎன்எஸ் தபார் இத்தாலிய கடற்படையுடன் பயிற்சிகளில் பங்கேற்றது

• ஐஎன்எஸ் தபார் டைர்ஹெனியன் கடலில் இத்தாலிய கடற்படையின் முன்னணி போர்க் கப்பலான ITS அன்டோனியோ மார்செக்லியாவுடன் கூட்டுப் பயிற்சியில் பங்கேற்றது.
• டைர்ஹெனியன் கடல் மத்தியதரைக் கடலின் ஒரு பகுதியாகும். இந்த பயிற்சி மத்தியதரைக் கடலில் ஐஎன்எஸ் தபாரை நிலைநிறுத்தலின் ஒரு பகுதியாகும்.

10. Haiti President Jovenel Moise passed away

• Haiti President Jovenel Moise passed away. He was assassinated at the capital, Port-au-Prince. Moise had led the Caribbean country, Haiti, one of the poorest nations in the world, since 2017.

11. Indian economist Kaushik Basu was awardedthe Humboldt Research Award for Economics

• Indian economist Kaushik Basu was awarded the Humboldt Research Award for Economics. He is currently a professor of Economics at the Cornell University. He served as the Chief Economist of the World Bank.
• He also served as India’s Chief Economic Advisor from 2009 to 2012.

11. இந்திய பொருளாதார நிபுணர் கவுசிக் பாசுவிற்கு பொருளாதாரத்திற்கான ஹம்போல்ட் ஆராய்ச்சி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது

• இந்திய பொருளாதார வல்லுநர் கௌசிக் பாசுவுக்கு பொருளாதாரத்திற்கான ஹம்போல்ட் ஆராய்ச்சி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. அவர் தற்போது கார்னெல் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பொருளியல் பேராசிரியராக உள்ளார். அவர் உலக வங்கியின் தலைமை பொருளாதார நிபுணராக பணியாற்றினார்.
• அவர் 2009 முதல் 2012 வரை இந்தியாவின் தலைமை பொருளாதார ஆலோசகராகவும் பணியாற்றினார்.
