How is your preparation going on?Friends IBPS RRB Scale 1 is going to be held in a Span of 3 days.This is the most important time of your Preparation,Practice daily Attend atleast 2 to 3 mock test(Prelims Pattern) daily,Analyse how your performance know which is your strongest Section & Attempt that Section in Prelims Exam which is going to be held from 9th September.The Accuracy & Speed increases when you attempt the test regularly.So Attempt Quiz regularly we are posting quiz on each section (Attempt it to increase in your Accuracy)
Today we are going to discuss on the most important topic Number Series,which will be asked for 5 marks in Prelims & as well as in Mains examination.In that 5 question,3 Question will be quite easy and can be solved in 3 minutes.Remaining 2 Question will be quite tougher & we need to think a lot to get the Pattern.If you have time then you can try,if not then attend 3 question which is easy.In this Article we are going to see some of the frequently asked patterns in number series,but we cannot expect the same pattern in the exam.And there is no specific frame work in number series.
1)BASED ON ADDITION/SUBTRACTION
2)BASED ON MULTIPLICATION/DIVISION
#.1 TYPE 1:
BASED ON ADDITION/SUBTRACTION:
Friends,Number Series is found easily by this techniques,In all the types we will be finding the difference of the given numbers and after that we will find the pattern of the series.
1)2000 2515 3030 3545 ? 4575
When ever a number is given in the number series,Just find the difference between the number.
Here the difference between the numbers is,
2515-2000=515
3030-2515=515
3545-3030=515
From the above difference we can come to conclusion that the common difference of the two numbers=515
Let’s check in the place of ?:
3545+515=4060
4575-4060 should be 515
Therefore,the missing number is 4060.
So,Friends find the difference,so that you may get a chance to identify the pattern.
2)3865 4375 4153 4763 4441 5151 ?
Friends will you solve by yourself,
#.2 TYPE 2:
BASED ON MULTIPLICATION/DIVISION:
This Pattern is asked repeatedly,
1)If the Pattern continues in the format of Whole number then we can conclude the number is multiplied & divided by the whole number.
If the first number is repeated in the place of second number then we can say that,the number is multiplied/divided by 1
If the number in the second place is half the number in the first place then the number is multiplied by .5 or divided by 2
2)If the Pattern is in the format of decimal value then we can say the number is multiplied & divided by a decimal value.
1)4445 2222.5 3333.75 ? 29170.3125
The number series is of decimal value so we can say the number is multiplied/divided by decimal value
By seeing the number we can say the second number is half the first number
4445/2=2222.5
Just analyse the third number don’t keep on finding the difference between the numbers,
3333.75 is greater than 2222.5
So we can say the series in the format of Multiplication,
Just split the number in order to know whether it is multiplied by 1 or more than 1
3333.75-2222.5=1111.25
Here the number obtained after subtraction is less than 2222.5,So,we can say it is multiplied by 1 and with some decimal value
To find the decimal value just divide the number by 2,4 so that we can assume the value
2222.5/2=1111.25
When it is divided by 2 i am getting the exact value,So my series goes like *.5,then 1.5 now after finding this multipliy the number with 2.5,3.5,,,,, to know whether our assumption is right.
4445 2222.5 3333.75 ? 29170.3125
4445*.5=2222.5
2222.5*1.5=3333.75
3333.75*2.5=8334.375
8334.375*3.5=29170.3125
So my assumption works so the Pattern is *.5,*1.5,*2.5,*3.5,….
4445 2222.5 3333.75 8334.375 29170.3125
Friends no one can say perfectly that the number series will definitely follow the series.So Practice lot of number series so that you will come across with numerous pattern.
