Committee formed to review Mizo peace accord
Mizoram Governor Lt. General Nirbhay Sharma has constituted a committee to review the peace accord signed between the Centre and the erstwhile underground Mizo National Front (MNF) on June 30, 1986.
The committee officially named as the ‘Peace Accord Review Committee’ would be chaired by Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla in which Home Minister R. Lalzirliana would be Vice Chairman and former Minister Lalrinmawia Ralte, Member Secretary.
Nitin Gadkari inaugurates India Integrated Transport and Logistics Summit 2017:
The Minister of Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the three day India Integrated Transport and Logistics Summit (IITLS) organized by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in New Delhi.
Its aim to boost economic growth in the country and need to achieve GDP from present 7.5 percent to double digit growth figures.

Shiva Thapa Settles for Silver at Asian Boxing Championships:
Fourth seed Shiva Thapa (60kg) settled for a silver medal at the Asian Boxing Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, becoming the first Indian to claim three back-to-back medals at the continental showpiece. He won a gold medal in 2013 and a bronze in the year 2015. Elnur Abduraimov won the gold medal in this event.

Leila Seth, the first woman judge of the Delhi High Court and a member of the Justice J. S. Verma committee set up to take a re-look into rape laws in India after the December 16, 2012 gang rape in Delhi, died of cardiac arrest.
Legendary sitarist Rais Khan, who shifted to Pakistan in 1968, dies:
India-born legendary sitar player Ustad Rais Khan passed away in Pakistan. He was 77. Khan was honoured with Presidential award and Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2005 and 2017, respectively.
