- Karnataka Government has launched the ‘Dishaank’ mobile applications to provide easy access to land records to the people of Karnataka.

The ninth edition of India-Seychelles joint military exercise ‘LAMITIYE 2022’
- The ninth edition of the joint military exercise ‘LAMITIYE 2022’ between the Indian Army and Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) was held at Seychelles Defence Academy (SDA), Seychelles.
- This exercise is being conducted at the Seychelles Defence Academy (SDA) from 22 March 2022 to 31 March 2022.
- The main objective of this joint training exercise is to build and promote bilateral military relations in addition to exchanging skills, experiences and good practices between both armies.

GDP Predictions
Fitch Ratings projects India’s FY23 GDP growth at 8.5 per cent
- Fitch Ratings projected India’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth estimate for the fiscal year 2023 (FY23) to 8.5 per cent by a massive 180 basis points on the back of soaring global energy prices.
- Earlier, it had revised India’s economic growth estimates for FY22 at 8.4 per cent.

IIT Madras launches AquaMAP for improving water use in agriculture
- IIT Madras has launched a new interdisciplinary water management and policy centre named ‘AquaMAP’ for improving water use in agriculture and solving water problems in India.
- AquaMAP was developed under the collaboration with IIT Dharwad around the broad theme of ‘Data Science for Water Security and Agriculture Sustenance’.
- AquaMAP is a national water centre. It aims at providing solutions for complex and challenging water problems by designing and evolving smart and optimal water management practices.
IIT Madras partners with TCS to launch M. Tech in industrial artificial intelligence
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to launch a web-enabled, user-oriented programme on Industrial AI that is targeted at upskilling employees incorporates in the applications of AI to industrial problems.
- This is the eighteen-month course that was designed in consultation with TCS, will be offered by IIT-Madras in a completely online live teaching mode through virtual classrooms.

Mali’s former Prime Minister Soumeylou Boubèye Maiga passed away at 67
- Former Prime Minister of Mali Soumeylou Boubèye Maïga passed away at the age of 67. He served as Prime Minister of Mali from 2017 to 2019.
- He resigned from that post after the killings of more than 160 Fulani civilians and protests against the state for continued insecurity.

Delhi becomes the most polluted capital city in 2021: World Air Quality report
- As per the World Air Quality Report was prepared by Swiss organisation IQAir, Delhi topped the list of capital cities for the fourth year in a row with the highest average annual PM2.5 concentration.
- The thirty-five cities out of the top fifty cities with the worst air quality were in India.
- This report is based on PM2.5 data from 6,475 cities in 117 countries around the world.
- The top five most polluted countries in 2021 were Bangladesh, Chad, Pakistan, Tajikistan and India.

- Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk of Ukraine won the silver medal with 14.74 metres. Kimberly Williams of Jamaica won the bronze medal with 14.62 metres.

- American tennis player Taylor Fritz won the men’s singles title in the 2022 BNP Paribas Open by defeating Rafael Nadal of Spain. BNP Paribas Open also known as The Indian Wells Masters (or) the Indian Wells Open.
- Iga Swiatek of Poland defeated Maria Sakkari of Greece to win the women’s singles title in the 2022 BNP Paribas Open.
