You should have now clearly defined a conclusion that Numerical Ability and Reasoning sections decide the overall score. Computer knowledge and General Awareness sections are predefined and you won’t get any changes. Introduction of new patterns are evident these days and surprises are there for every aspirants.

The Preferences which we feel may be easier to score in the priorities , because preferences matters and the choice of questions determines the actual score. In the event of solving a puzzle for 20 minutes and getting 5 marks is not equivalent to solve 5 Syllogism questions because the latter can be finished in less amount of time. Time priorities should be a must for considerations.

First of all try to attend maximum questions within minimum time because you need time to check the other sections and it’s very important. The first choice can be given to miscellaneous questions like Blood Relations, Directions test, Alphanumeric series, numerical series combinations and others because these can be solved easier and accuracy will be greater.

The next choice can be Syllogism if the questions are asked in the old pattern and new pattern too can be solved fast but not at the same time as that of the old pattern. Mostly questions will be same so you don’t need to draw the diagrams again and again(if you are using the Venn diagram method). The easiest section topic to score accurately is syllogism.

The next topic will be Coding and Decoding and if not the coded Inequalities. The recent exams had old pattern of coding and decoding questions and also expect the new pattern ones too, the new pattern is slightly different from the old one and it takes some time to define the logic behind the pattern. Then it will be easier to solve the questions asked in that particular sections.

How to solve New Pattern Coding and Decoding

Since this is the mains exam, you can definitely expect the coded inequalities since the inequities are almost easier to crack and aspirants are very much familiar with the old pattern. So the total number of questions form this topic will be 5 and maximum number of questions is unknown.

The Machine Input Output questions in the prelims examination for a batch was seriously out of the box as this section only pops up during the mains examination and you can expect this set of questions too and when asked this topic will have 5 questions to it’s bag.

Data Sufficiency is the one topic which shall provide you with marks but you have to be careful in choosing the answers as there are real traps in the words and solutions can often be misguiding. If you are confident enough to get it right then this topic is all yours to master.

The last one and the most important one is the Seating Arrangement/ Linear Arrangement & Puzzles. 20+ questions can be asked in the mains examination and it is one of the hardest to crack and usually time consuming one too. If you can crack these questions then it will be a cake walk in the other topics in the reasoning section. You can expect all the topics to be clubbed in the puzzles and seating arrangements, since this makes the questions to the next level and it also makes the questions more complex. The arrangement will always not be in a single possibility so always choose more than one possibilities while solving the arrangement and puzzles questions.

Seating Arrangement – Part II

Always the decision should be that of the aspirants and the discretion will be theirs. If you have mastered the puzzles and if you wish to solve them first, you are free to do so and this is our way to score more in the minimum qualifying time without disturbing the time for other sections.

You would have devoured the newspapers and all the General awareness materials that are available in the vast present internet and you would have mastered the computer awareness questions too, keep them updated because you have most of the mains exam in the upcoming days.
