So if your order of preference of attending the questions is like the one which is said below, the chances of getting marks in a short span of time will be greater.
ORDER OF PREFERENCES
- Number Series
- Quadratic Equation
- Simplification
- Approximation
- Data Interpretation
- Miscellaneous
Last year simplification questions were not asked and the questions were in the moderate to difficult range and none of the questions were in the easier range. So you should expect the same this year too because mains exams seems to be more hard and the amount of time to crack the questions seems to be larger.
Last year there were 15 questions in the DI category and it too was in the moderate to difficult range. The total time you should take to finish the Quants section should be 35 minutes and strictly follow timing because you may loose timing for the other sections too. So follow the timing for each section, and in the DI category there will questions which are easier to attend and be choosy in the questions and attend them first , if the DI asked in the exams were Missing DI, then solving and finding the data will give you hands on advantage while solving the questions.
Always attend miscellaneous in the end, there may be many misunderstandings as this is the easy mark giving topic in the quants sections and if you are good at solving the miscellaneous section, choose above in the priority list, otherwise stick with the best strategy one. A minute for a question will take 15 minutes and for some questions it is hard to finish within the stipulated time, so always think in winner mind and propel these questions in the last time.
Strenuous practice will make you to overpower the questions asked in the exams and conceptualization of the strategies plays a major role in these types of time. If you are appearing in the mains Examination, it is not of mere luck and some other ways, it is because of your hard work and stern determination, be it that and steer your preparations and be classy in that.
