How to Crack section wise cut-off English in SBI PO Prelims

In SBI PO prelims there are 3 sections Aptitude, Reasoning and English, we need to get both section wise and overall cut-off to crack this section.
Many students can get overall cut-off but they fail in section wise cut-off especially in English. Clearing English section i.e. section wise cut-off, will be easier if you follow some strategies.

Things to keep in mind while attempting English section
i) First attempt cloze test question. Proper usage of pronouns will helps you to score atleast 3 – 5 marks easily.
ii) Then attempt sentence rearrangement don’t try to attempt all questions if you are not sure about the arrangement try to attempt 2-3 questions in this section.
Sentence Rearrangement Tricks and Practice Questions
iii) In prelims, mostly story based comprehension will be asked. If it is a story based comprehension, then you can attempt 5-6 marks. If you don’t know the answer of any questions then try to attempt synonyms and antonyms. You can get the meaning of the word by reading the comprehension itself.

iv) Double fill – ups are always easy part in English. Basic English knowledge enables you attempt 2 questions and of 5 questions.
v) Spotting errors needs a basic grammar knowledge in English. If you are sure about the error in the questions then mark it. If you are in dilemma then it’s better to leave it.
vi) Don’t attempt all the questions because in English you expect only 5-7 marks as cutoff.
